hoarders episode with dead cats

Id die before I lived with dead rats and would NEVER expose a child to that. I understand some of those people on the show have problems, but when a kids involved you need to get your act togehter. Just my opinion.

Hi, I stand corrected. Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.

My sister had two cats when she had her twins that were inside cats and it was fine. I heard that out door cats sometimes have toxoplasmosis because they tend to eat dead birds and mice. If your cat is an out door cat then you can take it to the vet to make sure it doesn't have toxoplasmosis. . If it does then get someone to look after her till she is done the meds.

he is very afraid of the resident cats and unfamiliar with your family too..he needs to be kept in a separate space with his OWN litter, food and water... than gradually introduced as he becomes more and more familiar with the scents and surroundings. If you follow this there will be NO more poop accidents and getting rid of the fleas and getting him on a good diet with some omega3's should resolve the skin issue too....

I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!

t trust to keep things clean, to not attract other new mice. And the issue I have with decon or posion if the cats find a dead mouse, even if we don't put it up here, the mice are gonna die where ever they die. And if the cats get one and eat it, then the posion would be in them. I'm gonna wait and see if the cats just being hede doesn't do the trick. I found mouse poo on my coffe table in the living room today, right after I had eaten breakfast. It was GROSS. Lol ahh..

Oh, man, I COMPLETELY agree with you! The New York Animal Cops are good about it, Victoria Wells is extremely willing to give dogs with possible food aggression issues any re-training she can in order to make them adoptable. Even the Miami group has no problem working with an aggressive dog, as witnessed when a rottweiler bit one of their officers not once, but twice, one time AFTER a couple of weeks of rehab.

My cats do exactly the same. They hang around and sit on me when I'm getting sick again. They picked up my latest episode when I lost the use of my leg before I realized I was getting sick. Pity cats can't talk and tell our silly Neuro's.

They always are playing nicely with the cats - mother cat and 2 female kittens. My daughter sometimes is a little too rough but nothing not normal. I was napping on an afternoon. when I woke up I saw the 3 cats were missing. When I asked my children where are the cats my 6 year old son put an overly innocent care and said 'I don't know' and he elbowed his 4 year old sister to say the same. She said 'I dont know' with this stifled giggle.

I wouldn't let my kids be in a situation like that. It's dangerous. Who knows what they would get into or find in the piles of stuff. My in laws are borderline hoarders and I'm not ok with my kids over at their house without me or my husband.

ve been having extremely dry lips, the worse episode resulting in a thick layer of white dead skin and blisters but for 4 months now its been relatively low compared to the first month; swollen lips every other day accompanied with small dots on the border of my lips; it burns and feels wet. I've been using Vaseline to help with the dryness but my lips still itch and burn at the borders. I thought it was cold sores but its been going on since March and it's basically August now...

ve had cats all my life and am probably already immune.

I'd like to 2nd all of what zodiacqueen had to say. Get this boy to a vet asap and when he's healthy enough get him neutered. It will keep him from fighting, cut down on the chances of him getting a disease or infection, keep him home more, make him friendlier, and prevent him to contribute to the tragedy of kitty overpopulation.

Dandruff is just the shedding of dead skin cells to expose new cells and is not only normal but necessary. If the shedding is excessive, it may indicate a prior buildup of dead cells that were not properly shed. I agree with others that shampooing is not beneficial and dries out the skin. Frequent light brushing is far better for removing dead cells as well as stimulating oil production.

The other problem is that cats like to play with dead things, and dead things harbor all sports of infectious organisms. And these bad creatures tend to end up on the cats paws or claws.
