Hi, I stand corrected. Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
So I've used a stain and odor remover and almost all of the smell has gone. It was left untreated for a long time though so it's buried deep in the carpet (probably stained underneath it) and in warmer weather you can catch a whiff of it. Will the buried stain harbour germs or affect my health in any way?
I'm going to replace the carpet when I get the money but It's making me anxious at the moment and I can't concentrate on anything.

I had myself dead and buried in my mind. It turned out to be small, insignificant, and benign. Then 8 years later my gyno called me at school. I knew it was serious, because he never called, his nurse did, and it was never at work. Well, for some strange reason I took it all in stride. I never did become afraid, even after two operations and 6 months of Carboplatin plus another chemo I have forgotten. The human mind is a strange thing. It is frightening, especially when you are so young.
They said it was from my lung infection and anxiety, but ever since My anxiety and freak outs get so much worse. My cats still alive though, he's eating and is either sleeping or playful. I just hope I don't have rabies. Any help? Sometimes I feel like I'm acting funny, but I can't tell if that's because I'm looking for symptoms and having an anxiety attack.
I opened the back door and found one, laying on the floor, dead and my four cats singing around it. I wrapped it up and disposed of it. Just 30 minutes later I heard them singing again and opened the door. The squirrel was back. I was annoyed because they had obviously retrieved the animal and brought it back to me. I wrapped it up and went to dispose of it. Guess what. The original one was still there. One of the cats brought a very large rat into my kitchen and put it down.

My sister had two cats when she had her twins that were inside cats and it was fine. I heard that out door cats sometimes have toxoplasmosis because they tend to eat dead birds and mice. If your cat is an out door cat then you can take it to the vet to make sure it doesn't have toxoplasmosis. . If it does then get someone to look after her till she is done the meds.
I had a full blooded black lab. She has been healthy as a horse sense I got her. She had puppy's 7 weeks ago Monday. When the puppy's reached 6 weeks old I put the mother (aka black lab) out into another part of my yard . All of the sudden yesterday . I find her hide in some bushes . She was unresponsive . I got as close as I could to her & she was still alive , she just couldn't stand or roll over, however she could move her head & arms .
I didn't know much about anoles but it got real cold in my house and I tried giving my anole warmth, I set him in front of the heater for 30-mins to a hour, I came back to remove him he was dead!
and will see what we can do. Yes it is sad. We also separated other cats. We are not cat hoarders, just to be clear. We are now just going to foster a mama cat and her kittens. She had them next door and then moved them to our yard. She seemed to be an indoor cat at one time (that will be another question separate). Anyway, we let them live in the basement. The kittens are starting to get used to coming around us a little. They are not older than 7 weeks probably.
My guess is that something was in the air and the pig died from it, and so did the kid... But then again I am not 100%, I didn't get a chance to walk "Talking Dead" afterwards, so idk if they elaborated on that or not... Or my guess is that the kid ate something the pig ate, or maybe ate the pig that was contaminated with something and they both died but I don't know. Hopefully we get an answer, and if you find out, let me know because I was confused about that too.
About 7 days after applying it on my 2 cats one of them started scratching and licking himself. No fleas were found anywhere on him or the house dead or alive. Took him to the vet. she thought he might have a pollen allergy and gave him a cortisone shot. It worked for about a day and the next day he started again. Then I noticed my other cat also scratching. I'm ready to pull my hair out trying to figure out what on earth it can be. I've come to the conclusion it's the Advantage.
I heard on the news that Michael Jackson is still not buried! To me, that seems plain downrite cruel! They wait around much longer and they aint gonna be nuthin to bury! Are these people that greedy! or what!
