Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn jaw ache

heartburn

Avatar m tn - Jaw Ache I am not sure if this has been caused by all the medication I have been on, but I have recently developed really bad jaw ache for the past 6 months, this results in my jaw snapping shut when I am sleeping, and ache throughout the day. I anyone knows when this could be, or have any ideas or questions, please please please let me know!!!!!
Avatar f tn s so bad that I get a new, completely different ache in my chest, shoulder and jaw, which feels more like what I imagine a heart attack would feel like than heartburn. Feels a bit like a lump moving too, and the pressure is bad but it goes away with heartburn treatment so I assume it's heartburn related...
Avatar f tn Now iv had my filling I no longer have the toothache but I am suffering from this face ache. It is really sore to touch and when I open my mouth my jaw hurts too. Anyone know what this could be? So painful!
Avatar f tn Milk is cold and smooth and feels good going down but it's acidic. I use tums. Sometimes my heartburn gets do bad that I get a jaw ache with it. I'd su ck on some tums and prop myself up on pillows in bed. Being stressed about it can make it worse too.
Avatar m tn My main concern is jaw pain. After short periods of running I am experiencing pain, specifically around my joints. After doing some light background research I saw this this could be linked to heart disease. Before anyone responds a few points should be made. -I was tested extensively for heart issues when I was 4 due to a benign heart murmur. - I have scoliosis which causes one of my legs to be approx .25 inches shorter than the other. I require the use of a lift in one shoe.
Avatar m tn Chances are that since you were so scared about that symptom of jaw ache, that you already went to the ER. IF not, jaw pain can be signs of other issues, especially after having chewed lots of gum. You could have something known as TMJ and that causes jaw pain. TemperoMandibularJoint disease can be brought on by repetitive movement of the lower jaw, which can cause lots of pain. You could also have a blocked salivary gland known as siladentits, which causes jaw pain.
Avatar m tn m thinking it could be TMJ - which is a disorder of the jaw joint. It can cause many symptoms, including ear or jaw pain, as well as headaches, etc. Do you ever catch yourself clenching your jaw? Does your jaw crack or catch when you try to open it wide, such as with yawning? I would suggest starting with your family doctor - just to rule out any infection in the ear, however, if it is TMJ, the best person to treat it would be yoru dentist or oral surgeon. Best of luck!
Avatar m tn Hello~It sounds like it may be a TMJ issue. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) acts like a sliding hinge, connecting your jawbone to your skull. You have one joint on each side of your jaw. TMJ disorders ā€” a type of temporomandibular disorder or TMD ā€” can cause pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement.
Avatar f tn Are you having heartburn? I had heartburn to severe that it caused my jaw to hurt on top of my sinus draining.....I'll go get checked out if I were you.

Avatar f tn I have been getting jaw ache for a while, and I thought it might be due to tooth grinding as I tend to clench my jaw when I'm stressed. But recently it has got worse and worse and I went to the dentist on Christmas eve to be told I have a tooth infection in one of my top molars. I had root canal on a bottom molar not that long ago too and this tooth feels odd too.
Avatar f tn You can take Imodium for the runs and also you can take pepcid a.c. I know its mainly used for heartburn. But it helps me out when I have stomach issues in general..they are both safe to use!!
Avatar m tn For the last 3-4 weeks I have had an ache in the lower jaw area. Mostly on the left side but sometimes on the right also. It's worse when I open my mouth and it's more of a dull ache then a sudden, sharp ache. Swelling sometimes accompanies the ache also. Nothing that I can note was done to set it off. Never had it before. Don't grind teeth or chew gum or anything like that.
Avatar f tn I have difficulty swallowing, pain in throat, cough, headache, full feeling around jaw and ears. I am 67 years old.
Avatar f tn Hi, hoping to get some insight here, because I'm really afraid. It all started about three months ago with a feeling of a lump in my throat. Not an actual lump, but the feeling of one, right below where my adam's apple would be (I'm female though). I'd feel it on and off through the day, sometimes not so bad, and sometimes very noticeable. When I eat or drink anything it gets better though, the feeling of the lump goes away.
Avatar n tn Sinus tooth ache almost always involves upper posterior teeth. Please keep in mind that tooth ache is not always odontogenic. If your dentist can not identify structural pathology of dentoalveolar structure, seeing an orofacial pain specialist is advised.
Avatar f tn Thx it's feeling much better and ya my teeth have pain ever once and awhile
Avatar f tn Hello. About a month ago I had a dull aching in my jaw. I also had some ear pain and my jaw was clicking/popping. I also had some tooth sensitivity. This lasted two weeks and went away. It is now two weeks later and the dull ache is back. I went to the dentist and all my teeth looks great, he thinks I may be clenching my teeth. I have found my jaw feels better when I massage it. I have no triggers, it actually feels better when Iā€™m chewing. There is also some slight swelling.
5875644 tn?1375886365 About a week ago I developed a slight tooth ache on the lower left. It is a tooth that is broken, but since I had root canal done on it several years ago, there's no nerve in it. Then, a few days later I started to develop an ear ache in the same area. So now it hurts from my left ear down into my left jaw as well as a slight feeling of pressure above my left eye. I also can feel like post-nasal drip when it does hurt.
Avatar f tn Hi Ive noticed some mild numbness/spasm in my lower right jaw/chin area. Its been off an on for the past couple of days? I do have chronic neck, shoulder and upper back muscle tension with some occasional radiating tingling in arms and hands. Frequent joint pain due to occupation (massage therapist) and atypical symptoms of crohns. I have noticed more tightness and compression in my neck even with regular massage ,stretching and exercise.
Avatar n tn Pain that starts along my jaw bone and spreads quickly to my chest (Like a really bad case of heartburn) where I have trouble taking deep breaths without pain. I break out in a sweat and feel panicy. It only lasts for a short time but it is starting to worry me. I also have occasional left upper arm pain. Does this sound like heart attack symptoms?
Avatar f tn Then I staerted having pain in my loer jaw, throat and inner ear. The chips finally fell out this weekend but my ear is still very painful. I can not take antibiotics because it will negate my birth control. Will this clear up on its own now that the chips are gone? This discussion is related to ear pressure tooth and sinus pain. Inner Infection? Wisdom teeth? Both?.
Avatar f tn I was placed on ppi and the dull ache disappeared and once I stopped the meds I would experience heartburn everytime I had a coffee. This was new to me and I think it was the ppi that caused this. I took hcl and this got rid of any heartburn when I drank coffee! I was 5 months free of any discomfort and again out of nowhere came an esophagitis flare. I am so new to this, I'm back on the ppi to heal the flare but I would just love to hear from others who have gone thru this.
Avatar f tn I been having heartburn nausea and stomach ache what cab I take 29 weeks pregnant
Avatar f tn s a history of heart disease in my family (my maternal grandmother had her first heart attack at age 28). About 5 days ago I started getting alot of heartburn, 2 days after the heartburn I started experiencing a sudden severe throbbing pain in my left jaw. It wasn't tooth pain and it was deep, not surface pain. Shortly after the jaw pain started, within about 30min, the pain started to spread up behind my left ear, down the left side of my neck, and into the top of my left shoulder.
