what are other causes for the pancreas to become inflammed, to the point the pain sent me to the hospital, other than booze as I haven't drank heavily for years and now only have 1 or 2 drinks a month if that. the Doctors are persistant in saying that this is alcohol related but, I haven't had a drink in three weeks prior to this incodent. Please help me to understand!!!

I like to eat alot of mexican and italian food,fast food like hamburgs and fries(i dont eat that food all the time), obviously smoking, drinking alcohol. Then you ask why am i complaining and wondering why i have bad heartburn?if i already know what causes it? good question, i guess its so hard for me to choose fruits and veggies over say something like a pizza or pasta. I LOVE spicy food.
I do slreep with 2 pillows i cant imagine sleeping with anymore, but its worth the try.
I drink every other day (vodka) have been for the last 6 months. I've always had heartburn and am constantly eating tums or taking Prilosec. This past week I've been vomiting everyday after drinking and have been vomiting acid. Last night was the worst. I woke up st 4am violently vomiting acid my throat and nose still hurts today. I did vomit what looked like blood, it also burned very basket when it came up.. also went through my nose. I took zofran an anti nausea pill to calm it down.

Burning Sensation in Stomach
A burning sensation in the stomach can be a sign of digestive problems like gastritis, GERD, food allergies or intolerances, or emotional stress.
I drank a lot of self made wine for several days (sometimes on empty stomach too) and one day, along with overeating with a lot of grilled and spicy food, I got this strong heartburn and burning sensation along my esophagus and stomach that lasted for three days (20th – 22nd of Jan). I stopped drinking and after that the heart burn was gone except for a strange feeling (like something is stuck in the throat/esophagus).
Can anyone advise? Grateful for any comments.
Do any of you know what is meant by caffiene or alcohol, or drugs can cause PVC's? DO they mean that prior use could cause PVC's some time later or that while using and having those substances in your systems cuase PVCs? I regularly drink caffiene, occasional (sometimes heavy) drink alcohol, and I dabbled in drugs in my younger years.
Your choice to eliminate (or at last cut way back on) alcohol is a good one - alcohol itself can aggravate reflux symptoms just from the alcohol "burn", but it also actually is a relaxant, so it can relax the muscles that typically help hold the acid down in the stomach, which is not a good thing with reflux - you want those muscles to work correctly. Another thing I would suggest eliminating (or reducing) would be spicy foods.
I would like to add that heartburn could be due to other causes as well like a bile reflux or an eosinophilic esophagitis. The treatment for bile reflux is slightly different from acid reflux. Eosinophilic esophagitis though common in children is reported in adults also.
You have mentioned about a tight valve. Did you try to mean a normal valve?
Nausea is a general symptom and has many possible causes. Do you have any other symptoms? If you are simply feeling nauseous, this can be due to anything including upset stomach, dehydration, stress, ulcer, heartburn, food allergy, etc. As far as saying you have "too much candida," that is also a very general statement. There are a variety of candida infections from vaginal candida to thrush, both of which produce noticeable physical symptoms beyond nausea.
I am ftm @ 15wks 3 days with twins. I have severe heartburn. Anything I eat or drink causes heartburn. I haven't ate since 6pm this evening and its now 1152 pm and my heartburn will not let me go to sleep. Do any of you suffer from this and what is recommended.
It feels as though my throat has been swollen. Since I had eaten an hour before this first happened I assumed it was some sort of heartburn (Even though my heartburn is never accompanied by anything like this.), but 5 hours went by and the feeling was still there. It got a little better, and I was able to go to sleep.
