Avatar f tn I have been with the same manufacturer of metoprolol succinate for 2 years and had no problems and now they went out of business and the new manufacturer of the same medication isn't working for me!
Avatar n tn I have been taking bupropion XL 300 once a day for about 2 months. I had been getting my prescription filled at our local walgreens. My insurance has "forced" me to go on a mail order drug program. (they wont pay for my prescriptions if i dont which is over $200) I started taking the mail order pharmacies bupropion for about 2 weeks same dosage and name... pills look different though.
Avatar m tn I found out through experimentation years ago that none of the generics worked - it used to be Toprol XL - except when I found them actually made by the original manufacturer and sold as Metoprolol.

Avatar m tn The doc felt it was time for meds and that i was stressed as well. He gave me an Rx for topronol xl 25mg. And i filled it but of course the cvs gave me the generic. The internet seems to be filled with issues on the manufacturer for this drug what do i do? When i questioned it they told me to stay off the internet? The generic clearly had issues because june was recalled from the india manufacturing company and my Doctor is so difficult to reach in general. He has a busy office.
Avatar f tn 5mg and Buproprion XL 300mg... After a couple months and not much change my doctor adds in Olanzapine 5mg, problem is I've been doing a bit of research online and am now too nervous to take the Olanzapine(Zyprexa) with the Clonazepam(Klonopin). Every thing I've seen has basically said that these two can interact very badly causing shallow breathing, loss of consciousness, etc. It would be much appreciated if I could get some feedback from anyone who has taken the two together.
Avatar f tn Concerta is generic so it throws a monkey wrench into this but you could try to work with the original manufacturer of brand name concerta. Otherwise, generics are typically not as dreadfully expensive. Are there any job opportunities on the horizen that offer insurance? good luck (make sure you are seeng a psychiatrist for your comorbid conditions).
Avatar f tn I am a type 2 diabetic and I concerned about fasting (religious) and taking glipizide. I have been on metformin for over 14 years and have had to recently add glucotrol to my regimen. I do not have any low blood sugar symptoms at all and I am scared of the time I have to restrain from eating. Is any one else ever dealt with this?
Avatar f tn I just discovered this after 3 months of total misery, 7 different doctors, multiple tests, 1 hospitalization, 16 pound weight loss, almost lost my job, etc., etc., etc.. I want to know if this will have permanent effects on my body and heart and will I ever be the same again. I still don't feel 100% and have been back on the brand TOPROL XL for 9 days now.
Avatar f tn s office - mn gastro just called to say that Target/Triessent cannot supply this med as the manufacturer does not have it. I am terrified - need the procrit to complete last 12 weeks of tx -- can anyone help me out with this?
Avatar f tn My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...
685562 tn?1447155231 I believe there is a difference with the manufacturer. I was put on lorazepam .5 mg, but when I was put on 1 mg it was made by a different lab. The new lorazepam made me jittery and anxious, just the opposite of what it's supposed to do! So I went back to the doc and had her prescribe .5mg again, just more of them so that I could take a whole mg. So I definitely think there is a difference (of course, the pharmacy thinks I was crazy!).
Avatar n tn I have been on this combination for 6+ years and doing pretty well with them. In May 2008 I was started on Toprol XL 25 mg. It worked for my blood pressure and lowered it but it also made my depression worse and I finally went to my doctor to get off of them. I am now weaning off of the Toprol XL. I am on the second day of 12.5mg and I can't tell you how bad I have felt all day. Extreme anxiety and jittery. I CANNOT wait for this drug to be out of my system.
656309 tn?1224489859 I went from brands name Wellbutrin SR 150 mg once a day, which made me energized and active, to brand name Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day. Now I am sleepy, lethargic and there is no buzz or energy at all. What's up??
Avatar n tn can i ween myself off of welbrutin XL. been on at least 2 yrs.
458072 tn?1291415186 I don't know much about the slow release T3. I'm not sure if that is Cytomel, or if they have come out with something new lately. I just have seen mention of slow release T3 medication a few times in the last month or so on this board. I know Toprol comes in a "regular" form, and then there is Toprol XL. The XL is a slow release formula. I just use that as an example.
Avatar f tn My LDL is 223 and before 222. when taking toprol XL 50-75 mg. My cholesterol is 177 when I am not on antihypertensive drugs. Is there any documentation that proves Toprol XL can elevate cholesteral levels. Thank you, Sandra Smigielski R.N. This discussion is related to Toprol XL and Benicar side effects.
Avatar n tn I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
Avatar f tn The doctor failed every time no matter how hard he tried. Eventually, he used the Xl probe instead and it did succeed in taking readings. I got a score of 6.1kpa on the Xl probe. Being a rather skinny male, could it mean this probe might have underestimated the degree of my fibrosis. How would this reading compare to a reading using the M probe given I'm not fat thus XL probe could potentially miscalculate my score. Anyone who can share his opinion on this will be highly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I recently got my fibroscan done for the first time. It turned out to be a very unusual experience. The doctor performing the scan couldn't get a reading using the M probe no matter how hard he tried, despite my being a slim (borderline underweight) individual. Eventually he gave up on the M probe and used the XL probe instead, which worked and gave a median value of 6.1 kpa value.
343006 tn?1314446471 I then e mailed the makers of toprol xl - and they confirmed toprol xl can cause ringing of the ears as a known side effect. I also checked DIovan and its listed as well - Due to this , I guess the next best thing to do is see my Doctor and complain to get off the medications or switch them. thanks too for info on h.b.p and how it can cause ringing in the ears, when its too high .. I recheck and check my b.p everyday 3 to 4 times daily- when medicatated its down to normal levels.
