glucotrol xl indications

I am 67 years old male of good health . I have type 2 diabitis, Hepertension . Both are under total control with medications (Glucotrol XL 10 mg and Metformin 1000 mg 2 times daily, Also Benicar 10 mg and duriatic pill 25 mg ) I never dink nor smoke and I have no evident health problems .

I am a type 2 diabetic and I concerned about fasting (religious) and taking glipizide. I have been on metformin for over 14 years and have had to recently add glucotrol to my regimen. I do not have any low blood sugar symptoms at all and I am scared of the time I have to restrain from eating. Is any one else ever dealt with this?

25mg Toprol XL daily. Recently started having very strong palpitations,fleeting sharp pains in the upper left quadrant of my chest, & burning sensation between shoulder blades. Went to ER, EKG was normal and was sent home. My doctor ordered a 24hr heart holter and blood tests to check electrolytes/thyroid. All came back normal other than showing PVCs and premature atrial contractions.

My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...

I have been on this combination for 6+ years and doing pretty well with them. In May 2008 I was started on Toprol XL 25 mg. It worked for my blood pressure and lowered it but it also made my depression worse and I finally went to my doctor to get off of them. I am now weaning off of the Toprol XL. I am on the second day of 12.5mg and I can't tell you how bad I have felt all day. Extreme anxiety and jittery. I CANNOT wait for this drug to be out of my system.

I went from brands name Wellbutrin SR 150 mg once a day, which made me energized and active, to brand name Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day. Now I am sleepy, lethargic and there is no buzz or energy at all. What's up??

can i ween myself off of welbrutin XL. been on at least 2 yrs.

My LDL is 223 and before 222. when taking toprol XL 50-75 mg. My cholesterol is 177 when I am not on antihypertensive drugs. I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.

The doctor failed every time no matter how hard he tried. Eventually, he used the Xl probe instead and it did succeed in taking readings. I got a score of 6.1kpa on the Xl probe. Being a rather skinny male, could it mean this probe might have underestimated the degree of my fibrosis. How would this reading compare to a reading using the M probe given I'm not fat thus XL probe could potentially miscalculate my score. Anyone who can share his opinion on this will be highly appreciated.

I recently got my fibroscan done for the first time. It turned out to be a very unusual experience. The doctor performing the scan couldn't get a reading using the M probe no matter how hard he tried, despite my being a slim (borderline underweight) individual. Eventually he gave up on the M probe and used the XL probe instead, which worked and gave a median value of 6.1 kpa value.

I then e mailed the makers of toprol xl - and they confirmed toprol xl can cause ringing of the ears as a known side effect. I also checked DIovan and its listed as well - Due to this , I guess the next best thing to do is see my Doctor and complain to get off the medications or switch them. thanks too for info on h.b.p and how it can cause ringing in the ears, when its too high .. I recheck and check my b.p everyday 3 to 4 times daily- when medicatated its down to normal levels.

can you be switched from the time released once a day toporol xl 100mg to the less expensive metoprolol succinate 50mg twice a day to achieve the same effect

My doc prescribed Wellbutrin XL since the Lexapro made my depression even worse, excessive sleeping, etc. My question is - can I still take 1 mg of Klonopin to help with anxiety, prevent panic attacks? I've taken Wellbutrin before for a bad depression and know that it makes a person more energetic but also jittery at times. Any advice? Could I combine Lexapro 10 mg with the Wellbutrin XL 150 mg? Thanks everyone!

s on or has been on Wellbutrin XL or SR, did it work for severe depression and make you happy again and actually look forward to things.. I'm starting to give up hope.. Also, does anyone have any feedback on consuming alchohol while on Wellbutrin?

I have taken 50 mgs of toprol XL for 12-13 years. It is a very safe and a good medication in my opinion. The XL means that it has an Extended Life .. in other words one pill is supposed work for at least 24 hours i think... but anyway... I dont know why the doc would say just use it when your rate is fast.. if you took one a day ....your heart rate should stay pretty regular Id think.. but Im not a doctor... I dont really know about taking it occassionally... doesnt make alot of sense to me..

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. So I was going to get back on my meds. that I used to take which was Welbrutain XL and Xanxa .

I was released from the hospital yesterday after a two day bout of atrial tachycardia and off and on atrial fib. My Toprol XL was increased from 100mg to 150 mg. 100 mg in the morning and 50 mg at night. I have low blood pressure (90/60) and I'm afraid that taking the extra 50 mg at night will drop my blood pressure too low and I could die in my sleep from my bp bottoming out? Is this an unreasonable fear?

I am wondering if you are uneasy about taking digoxin. If so, I would ask you cardio if you can get by with just the TOPROL XL. Digoxin, xanax, toprol xl, and lisinoprol seems like a lot of stuff to be taking. I am a runner and only take TOPROL XL 12.5mg. This knocks out my extra beats and really slows my heart down. A little seems to go a long way for me.
