glucotrol xl dosing

I am 67 years old male of good health . I have type 2 diabitis, Hepertension . Both are under total control with medications (Glucotrol XL 10 mg and Metformin 1000 mg 2 times daily, Also Benicar 10 mg and duriatic pill 25 mg ) I never dink nor smoke and I have no evident health problems .

i am taking toprol xl 25 mg (half in am and half in pm. it seems to be working on bp but when i am up on my feet heart rate goes to 100-115. why isn't it working on hr.

I'm currently taking 300 mg bupropian XL. I have been prescribed and taken in the past Tramadol. However, I am getting mixed answers on wether these 2 drugs can be taken together. Does anybody have any experience taking these 2 drugs together and were there any side effects? Thanks much!

Hi there, been going through various medication regimes now for the last 3 years after me depression 'insidiously' crept up on me to the extent that all the nicer part of me was gone and that was just getting by, carefully avoiding being 'out in the open' and retreating into myself.

Is it preferable to take 2 150 mg Wellbutrin XL tablets together in the morning, or should I space them 12 hours apart?

I am a type 2 diabetic and I concerned about fasting (religious) and taking glipizide. I have been on metformin for over 14 years and have had to recently add glucotrol to my regimen. I do not have any low blood sugar symptoms at all and I am scared of the time I have to restrain from eating. Is any one else ever dealt with this?

it does relieve the headaches as a daily medication, just as long as they get the dosing correct. (and make sure you take it at the same time every day) i have noticed if i take it late then i tend to have the headaches the next day. you might see if they can put you on a medication in case you have a headache while on the topamax.

Hello - I was recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL 300 mg.(I got generic but I'm not concerned about that) I haven't started taking it yet because the pharmacist seemed concerned about me starting at that level. All the web research also indicates that 150 mg is the starting dosage. I was on Paxil for 1 year about 10 years ago so I have some experience... Just wondering if 300 mg is too high for a non-suicidal person.

My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...

I have been on this combination for 6+ years and doing pretty well with them. In May 2008 I was started on Toprol XL 25 mg. It worked for my blood pressure and lowered it but it also made my depression worse and I finally went to my doctor to get off of them. I am now weaning off of the Toprol XL. I am on the second day of 12.5mg and I can't tell you how bad I have felt all day. Extreme anxiety and jittery. I CANNOT wait for this drug to be out of my system.

I went from brands name Wellbutrin SR 150 mg once a day, which made me energized and active, to brand name Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day. Now I am sleepy, lethargic and there is no buzz or energy at all. What's up??

My LDL is 223 and before 222. when taking toprol XL 50-75 mg. My cholesterol is 177 when I am not on antihypertensive drugs. I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.

My therapist has suggested this dosing to make the transition gradual. I was just curious as to anyone elses experience with such a change, good or bad.

The doctor failed every time no matter how hard he tried. Eventually, he used the Xl probe instead and it did succeed in taking readings. I got a score of 6.1kpa on the Xl probe. Being a rather skinny male, could it mean this probe might have underestimated the degree of my fibrosis. How would this reading compare to a reading using the M probe given I'm not fat thus XL probe could potentially miscalculate my score. Anyone who can share his opinion on this will be highly appreciated.

I recently got my fibroscan done for the first time. It turned out to be a very unusual experience. The doctor performing the scan couldn't get a reading using the M probe no matter how hard he tried, despite my being a slim (borderline underweight) individual. Eventually he gave up on the M probe and used the XL probe instead, which worked and gave a median value of 6.1 kpa value.

I then e mailed the makers of toprol xl - and they confirmed toprol xl can cause ringing of the ears as a known side effect. I also checked DIovan and its listed as well - Due to this , I guess the next best thing to do is see my Doctor and complain to get off the medications or switch them. thanks too for info on h.b.p and how it can cause ringing in the ears, when its too high .. I recheck and check my b.p everyday 3 to 4 times daily- when medicatated its down to normal levels.

can you be switched from the time released once a day toporol xl 100mg to the less expensive metoprolol succinate 50mg twice a day to achieve the same effect

My doc prescribed Wellbutrin XL since the Lexapro made my depression even worse, excessive sleeping, etc. My question is - can I still take 1 mg of Klonopin to help with anxiety, prevent panic attacks? I've taken Wellbutrin before for a bad depression and know that it makes a person more energetic but also jittery at times. Any advice? Could I combine Lexapro 10 mg with the Wellbutrin XL 150 mg? s on or has been on Wellbutrin XL or SR, did it work for severe depression and make you happy again and actually look forward to things.. I'm starting to give up hope.. Also, does anyone have any feedback on consuming alchohol while on Wellbutrin?

I have taken 50 mgs of toprol XL for 12-13 years. It is a very safe and a good medication in my opinion. The XL means that it has an Extended Life .. in other words one pill is supposed work for at least 24 hours i think... but anyway... I dont know why the doc would say just use it when your rate is fast.. if you took one a day ....your heart rate should stay pretty regular Id think.. but Im not a doctor... I dont really know about taking it occassionally... doesnt make alot of sense to me..
