is glipizide 10mg the same as glyburide 5mg / because my husband was drinking the gyburide and when we went for the new prescription it had changed to glipizide and he hasn't felt good since the change do i call his doctor

I also take 500mg metformin after a meal(breakfast and dinner) and was advised to take 5mg glipizide before meals (breakfast and lunch) but sometimes I measure my bs before and notice it's sometimes 70-90 . A little about me: I don't eat at regular intervals, I don't snack , I have 3 meals a day . Wake up at 530 go to work, eat breakfast at 9 and then my lunch around 12 , dinner between 5-630. Hi, I recently went on glipizide after a very bad reaction to victoza. I was losing weight, but now the glipizide is keeping me at the same weight. Has anyone had the experience that is the same? and is there a lower does that anyone has still been able to lose weight with? and yes I'm on a low carb diet and excercise plan. I'm doing better with this than I did before and I lost 33 pounds. It's the glipizide.

5mg for two weeks to 5mg for one month and then has been going down .5mg (yes ½ mg) every two weeks and is now ready to go down to her last .5mg step. This has taken months and is actually faster than many places would recommend though much slower than her pdoc suggested. My Coumadin dose was 5mg four days a week and 7.5mg three days a week for most of the two years. Now my INR has suddenly jumped up. I have started Ditropan XL 5mg HS without any change in the droplets. Any ideas as to what I should or could try next? My urologist thinks my sxs are overactive bladder. How can this be resolved?

6 months ago I started having high BP. Long storie short I was put on procardia xl. Started at 60mg then the Dr. rased it to 120 mg. Was working fine for about 2 months. Then I started having a racing heart high pules in the 100s. Went to the ER. And they droped my dose to 90mg. I noticed I have been getting a lot of heart burn. To make a long story short, I'm 63 yr. female with 2 previous MI 1996, 2002, with a full metal jacket in RCA, 3 stents in "96 and 2 more in'02. I'm also diabetic, on Lantus and Glipizide.
