I have been put on metformin hydrochloride 500 twice a day to decrease sugar levels. hernia op delayed because of this. diabetic type 2 and had always controlled by diet but sugar count creeping in the mornings so told dr who issued prescription. have been on just over 2 weeks yet morning tests show very little decrease 7.2 to 8.00. Told to wait 6 weeks for reconsideration on op.
I know when they do blood test some sort of average is established so just morning count not all that is relevant.

I was wondering if it's possible for metformin to cause severe food sensitivities and colitis. I am a 36 year old female with polycystic ovarian syndrome. After initiating metformin, many of the hormonal problems, including weight gain despite daily exercise and healthy eating habits, have greatly improved.
My father has been taking oral anti-diabetic drugs since almost 10years now ( Gliclazide 80mg & metformin hydrochloride hydrochloride 500mg now. 1/2tds, before every meal). His blood sugar has been around 155mg/dl. his lipid profile was done and it was found tht S.cholestrol is 144mg/dl, S.Tri is 60mg/dl, HDL is 53 and LDL is 79. S. creatinine is 1.16mg/dl. and urine report showed albumin present(++++). he is 58 years of age.

My doctor prescribed me trazodone hydrochloride for anxiety, sumatriptan succinate for migraines, zopiclone for sleep, I've been told I can take the trazodone with zopiclone, but I have the new sumatriptan tablets, it says in the medical pamphlet that it is an MAO-A inhibitor and can't be taken with antidepressants/anxiety tablets.
Would it be ok to take both the trazodone hydrochloride and the sumatriptin succinate together?
Hey, I have been taking the generic fluoxetine hydrochloride 10 mgs tablets for about 1.5 years now. My pharmacy recently changed manufacturers and the tablets are now blue... I do NOT tolerate these tablets as well and have also tried the 10mg capsules with the same effects (less effective more side effects- nausea, dizziness, fat face, racing thoughts, decreased libido, nightmares, sleep disturbances, etc.).. I have called several pharmacies but they all have the blue tablets too -_-...

yea i was on the phone today to my doc and hospital and they put my mind at ease and just told me to wait till i go in and have all new tests al done and then they will tell me what the problem is as i am trying to conceive aswel so im on metformin hydrochloride 850 so i wil keep u up dated as soon as i get some results thank u so much for ur response
Here in Australia it is spring time and the pollen count is through the roof. As a result I am suffering from hayfever/asthma and typically do each year from 20 October to 20 November and pretty much to those dates. At 34/63 weeks on tx it certainly is adding an extra dimension to my sx's but still upright. I have found it necessary to take 180mg of 'fexofenadine hydrochloride' an anti-hystermine I guess.
I am taking some tablets prescribed by my doctor containing (glimepiride USP,pioglitazone hydrochloride,metformin hydrochloride). Is it ok to take these tablets? does this contain sugar?
