i started taking tramadol about 2 years ago for pain, and now if i run out i get really bad withdrawels, its like having the flu but a hundred times worse, i know i am addicted, i need too know if there would be a rehab for tramadol addiction in uk? im not sure if there will be as its not heroin or any other drug like that, its just a pain killer, if there was a rehab place for it then would i have too stay there for a few days or would they just tell me to cut down slowly?
Comming off the methodone is horrible.I tried twice to taper down to 5 mg. I never got below the 5 though I went back up because I couldn't stand it.Which is why 3 plus weeks ago I jumped off at 25 mg.I finally realized ther was not going to be any way to avoid the withdrawl.I went on the methodone to avoid the withdrawl from the vicodin,BIG mistake.I'm only speaking from personal experience.Getting free from this drug is probably one of the hardest things I've ever done.

something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on
the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet
you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...
Now I am drug free, symptom free. I just wear clay against my breast every night. I jog. I feel great, rarely ill. I am two pounds heavier than before I started Prednisone. The thing with me that is different compared lots of women with this disease is that all my trouble was local to the breast. I never had joint trouble, weakness or any other inflamation in the body. I contined to jog through the disease (but I had to hold my bandaged breast against my chest the whole time).
You stated that he went to jail for possession of drug paraphernalia, not drugs. Most, like my son did, go to rehab to avoid more jail time. And resume their old habits once they are 'clean' from rehab. Someone has to 'want' to be free from an addiction without playing games. It's his choice, sorry to say, not yours.

This med made me so weak I could barely walk. For the last 10 years I have been eliminating one drug after another but rehab was the last straw. I have been told some of my metabolic pathways may not be fully developed or completely absent. The last time I needed something for a transient episode of muscle spasms, I took 1/10 of the dose 2 instead of 3 times a day. After 10 days the spasm had ceased and I stopped taking the drug.
