I am in Central Ohio, so anyone know of anywhere around here would be great. But if i found a INPATIENT Rehab which i could go to for free or almost free... i'd go anywhere! Thanks!! BTW, yes i am a newbie, but did search a lil for this.

as me and my friends say i couldnt pay my rent and now had to move back with my mom im out of control and cant stop my addiction has completely taken over and dont no what to do.................i want to find a good rehab that is free............

After you detox and you no longer have insurance benefits for any rehab, what do you do? My grandson just checked into a detox facility but cannot return to his home. He is detoxing from oxy, valium, alcohol and was on a binge after 10 weeks clean. I dont know what to do to help him without enabling him..any suggestions? He is 18 last month so we dont get any info from detox facility.

Most rehab centers take care of the detox the first week or so that you're there. I know the ones I checked into do. Also, stay away from Ultram. It will open a can of worms you don't need to mess with.

Hi Hun, Avisg is spot on. Most of the treatment centers (rehabs) have what is called an "indigent" program. That is by no means an insult. It is simply a program for those who do not have insurance but need the help. For example, when I was in treatment I was in with a Pharmacist. He was a person who at one time had the money but had lost everything through his addiction. He was accepted into the program. I saw many others since then also accepted for one reason or another.

well i found a rehab to go to I'm going on aug 25th but the weird thing is she said its tricky with insurances and detox and mine might not pay and she can't see if they will until I'm there and if they dont cover it it cost 9000$ so i will have to leave weird i think but whatever i just hope they will pay without any trouble cuz i need this real bad i am very excited to be going i can't wait to see what life is like being free and sober

He snorts coke, Addarall and Ritalin, the guy leaves paraphernalia all around his house and still denies usage. He is currently on methadone which is just a free drug to him at this point. Before drug use he was an extremely stable family man. Once he go involved in the drug world, he assaulted a guy while high and claimed insanity. This was the only option given to me to treat chronic pain after an accident in 2006. But as every addict knows, sooner or later it can't be controlled. Last Rehab I was in I finished the 6 day subutext detox but I then had such baaaad anxiety (the fight or flight type) AND NO ONE WAS LISTENING!!

I posted before my husband decided to go to rehab we live in Ct and took him to one in Penn. He is in detox for 5 days then stays there for 21 days. The place is called livengrin...any of you heard of it or been there? I just want to know if people can easily have sex in places like that?

Not all rehab centers are equal. Many if not most try to do it too quickly with a one size fits all approach, whereas an individual psychiatrist who really knows his stuff will go at your pace. Not that those are easy to find! By the way, you need a new psychiatrist. The one you have doesn't seem to realize he works for you.

So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.

I was just curious why none of the testing centers I have been checking with offer the 4th gen DUO test in the U.S? Or at least when I tell them where I live they don't offer it here. They only offer the RNA early detection test or just a standard 3rd gen antibody test. Anybody have any insight on this?

Detox gets you off the drugs safely, and a little of what rehab does. Rehab deals with learning about your addiction and how to live life without drugs. Once you are done with detox, they will help set you up on some continuing aftercare activities. Like an inpatient rehab, or outpatient rehab, a psychiatrist to follow your meds etc. that kind stuff. Google free clinics or chrisis pregnancy centers in your area, the cpcs should also be free. And hopefully one of them gives free ultrasounds. I got mine done at a free clinic that was also a cpc.

ok... stupid question.... when people talk about going to "rehab", what is it they mean? you check into a place and you detox there, and start aftercare? how does one start, is it ever covered by insurance? i dont think i can do this by myself im a mess.....

Get your phone book out. Look up detox and rehab centers in your area. Whether you have health insurance or not there are places you can go to get detoxed. That is the beginning. Then the work begins. To figure out why you are doing this. It sounds like it started with back surgery. But that is just a symptom.. There is something that is making you afraid or sad or both that makes you feel a need to numb yourself. I use to do this with alcohol.

gov/ there you will find a locator for tx centers based on the location you enter. i entered within 100 miles of gainesville, fla and got 131 facilities, the first ten within 33 miles. 6 of these accept payment on a sliding scale based on income and other factors. i hope this helps you folks and in the meantime i would highly recommend aa/na for your husband and al-anon or nar-anon for yourself. those are where most healing begins to take place.
