333672 tn?1273792789 Hi, Go for it girl! Makes you feel really good. Won't do any harm, even if it doesn't do any good. It makes your feet feel good, nice and relaxed, not everyone can stand having their feet touched but I have it done and massage and both make me feel better. Certain points are meant to work on your spine etc. but I get my nails and everything done with my reflexology.... that's what I treat myself to when I want to indulge. Cheers, Udkas.
1979418 tn?1432135441 ) Looking at reflexology.... always been a big believer in the ancient healing arts. Been dealing with foot cramps this year (hey not the horrible crippling leg spasms of last summer, so no complaints!!!), and my hubby has been helping with foot and calf massage. Couple times he has hit a few spots where you literally can feel the nerve connection up to almost my eyeballs.
Avatar f tn my right foot between top of heel and bottom of arch has been hurting so badly for about 3 months. any ideas? read in a reflexology book could be bladder issues? also heard could be plantar fasciitis?
Avatar f tn hi. i have had cfs for 16yrs. have got alot better nut not fully. i have reflexology last week for help in other areas in my health but it seems to have made my cfs worse. has any one else experienced this?
7557112 tn?1399509472 I hear walking...we walked my cousin through the mall and got her this foot massage (reflexology) that was suppose to help with contractions. It worked! Just 7 hours later she went into labor. But keep in mind, people can be 1 cm for awhile so don't get too frustrated.
398532 tn?1231463960 Nope just dont press to hard on your feet tho. It might not feel that good. But just stay away from the ankles (back of the ankels mainly).
230972 tn?1224470126 I am not for sure the spots but I would definitely try to research it a little. Or just have DH give you a really good thorough foot massage. It cant hurt to try. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I also suffer with pelvic and hip pain . I'm getting physio and that's seems to be helping. I also have tried hot baths they give me short term relief. I use a hot water bottle as well on my lower back.
8026978 tn?1396325900 My cousin got some type of foot massage (I think it was called foot reflexology or something like that) last year that is suppose to bring on labor. She got the massage at noon by 6pm that evening she went into labor. She swears by it! LOL!
Avatar f tn I've heard that foot reflexology can have an effect on inducing pregnancy, that there's certain pressure points within the feet. (Is that why it's unadvisable for women in their late third trimester not to have pedicures?) Maybe she should have a pedicure! Seriously though, I think this is an old wives' tale, so this is not true advice. I wish her all the luck at birth and congrats!
Avatar f tn Hi I have an appointment to have some foot reflexology. Currently 37 weeks pregnant. Has anyone tried it and does anyone know if it brings on labour?
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing a sharp pain on my lower left foot during a bowel. Stared about a month ago which scared me at first, now I've just gotten used to it. I think maybe it could just be a pinched nerve. But if anyone can pin point the problem I'd really appreciate it .
Avatar f tn Hi! I was in a car crash in May 2013 and got whiplash, I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, they did tests and said I was ok but noticed that I had 2 fused vertebrae from a previous car crash about 10 years before. Ever since this recent crash I've had nerve problems, from the top of my head all the way down to my hips hurt, then turned into a kind of 'itchy' feeling for a week and then into 'pins and needles'.
Avatar f tn hey DO NOT GO NATURALLY HAVE A C-SECTION. Please discus POP with you doctor and ask him about the repairs nothing good comes!!!!!!! read about POP now!!!!!! esp with one big baby!!!
Avatar f tn In my case i had spicy salsa and chilli on the monday night and my sister did the reflexology on my foot and i went into labour later that night (well it was after midnight so technically the next day) but then who knows whether i would not have naturally gone into labour even if i didnt have those things lol. Good luck and enjoy your last moments without your baby girl as it wont be the same again. It will be much better but more hectic hehe! Hope you have a nice easy delivery!!!
3804392 tn?1404419858 I went to the doctor for it and was advised to stretch my calves a good deal and then take my foot/heel and press it against say the edge of a step (or something like that). It is a bit sore to do but I did recover doing these two things. They also make wraps for this now which I haven't tried but have seen advertised.
Avatar f tn I've booked in for labour inducing reflexology tomorrow at 2.. I was wondering if anyone has had it before and if it did anything? I know it's not 100% but I was gonna go for a massage anyway haha!!
Avatar f tn another thought, go and get a foot massage/reflexology done and get then to concentrate on your points for your uterus or go and get some acupuncture done
Avatar f tn Google images of foot reflexology, and hands too for the fun of it. They are the nerve endings and you will see the root of your problem.
Avatar f tn Definitely! For example people get reflexology (foot massage) because there is a nerve ending in your feet that effects each part of your body. I'm sure a nerve in your neck could have some effect on your stomach etc, with that said be cautious with message.
Avatar f tn I was going to massage therapy school but had to drop, and be careful of foot rubs, getting into the reflexology part of it we learned there is a spot on the side of the ankle that relates to the overies and uterus and can send a woman into labor.
Avatar f tn You could also try acupuncture or a really firm foot massage/reflexology let the know your overdue and to concentrate on the uterus points :)
Avatar f tn Good luck. Keep us updated on if the reflexology works. I was having a lot of pressure and Braxton hicks about 2 weeks ago, then they went away. Now I only have one day until my "due date" and I'm ready to be done, but baby isn't.
237053 tn?1258828426 I had had the slight numbness in my toes and the stiff painful neck shoulders prior, so I thought a massage would do me good. NO! The next day all everthing got worse! That weekend I ended up in the ER due to weakness, numbness, and dizziness. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
Avatar f tn I have had 4 sessions of reflexology over the last 2 months and am currently on day 24 of my cycle. Started using the CB monitor this month and was surprised to get 2 peak days on days 21 & 22?! As my phase Inbetween O day and visit from AF is 14 days (previously using standard ovulation tests) i am expecting AF to arrive in 14 days so around cycle day 35 which would be a significant shorter cycle than usual!! Has anybody else had success with reflexology shortening cycles?
Avatar f tn try getting your partner to give you a foot massage concentrating on the fleshy bits behind your ankles, getting him to rub or squeeze this area quite firmly, if you cant get him to do this, go for some reflexology or a pregnancy massage and ask them to do your uterus points :)
Avatar m tn One day, i sliiped my left foot ang almost did a split.I didn't fell when it happened but i heard a sound at my hipbone. it was really painful. then nunbness of my left finger tips and left leg occured within 3 days. i had few sessions with a physical therapist, numbnes was lessened and only the left fingertips & left toes got slightly numb at this time.
