1890554 tn?1322678048 I was wondering how many of Chiarian sufferers can wear and walk in high heels?
1541952 tn?1317816629 I have to wear high heels for work but they like constantly give me awful blisters where the shoe rubs against the bare skin on the back of my heel and I'm always having to cover my feet in bandaids... is there a better solution? I've tried a few different brands of high heels, and like a few different half-sizes up or down and while some are more comfortable than others, I still somehow get blisters everytime.
Avatar f tn Vagisil powder is amazing as a foot powder. Take the label off if you're paranoid about the guys seeing it. (generic vagisil powder bottles look identical to gold Bond but vagisil neutralizes odor, yep Eve dudes' foot odor better than anything else on the market).
Avatar n tn Bend your left knee slightly, tighten your abdominal muscles and gaze forward. Push through your left heel and lift onto the ball of your left foot. Lift as high as possible, then lower your left heel to the floor. Shift your weight onto your left heel and repeat. Complete 12 to 15 repetitions, stopping when your calves fatigue. Before doing anything get The OK from your doctor.
Avatar n tn Well, though the exact mechanism of formation of Haglund’s deformity is not known, hereditary is believed to play a role in it, especially in people with high arch foot. The theory postulated is that in a person with high arches, the heel bone is tilted backward into the achilles tendon causing constant irritation and minor inflammation. Similar changes can also be caused by shoes with rigid backs or high heels.
Avatar f tn I wish I could still wear heels but my feet swell so bad

Avatar n tn There's a old wives tale that say you can't use high heels because it damages the babies head . My family is having a new years party & I want to look nice since I feel its been soooo long since I've actually gotten ready. Are high heels actually bad for pregnancy?

Avatar n tn I'm having sharp pains in the bottom of my feet. Sometimes it's in the ball of my foot , in the middle and also the heels. I'm not sure what's going on but it hurts really bad and it comes and goes.
1847422 tn?1332867056 Walking on heels is the most sensitive way to test for foot dorsiflexion weakness, while walking on toes is the best way to test early foot plantar flexion weakness. Abnormalities in heel to toe walking (tandem gait) may be due to ethanol intoxication, weakness, poor position sense, vertigo and leg tremors. These causes must be excluded before the unbalance can be attributed to a cerebellar lesion.
Avatar m tn Even if i see high heels and stilettos, it turns me on but not enough for ejaculation. I also gets turned on if a girl stands on my chest, belly or walks over my back with or without high heels or if she gives me a footjob over my body. But it also doesn't suffice for ejaculation. I think gentle female touches do makes me comfortable but it won't suffice for a continous turn on. I have to masturbate under a pillow to make me ejaculate.
Avatar n tn Hi Dixy, First you have to remember its not just tendons but all your nerves run under your foot, but does sound like a bruised tendon, the best thing is ice it and take it easy.
Avatar m tn Though I do not have close experience with them, z-coil shoes have built in orthotic devices and allegedly these can be adjusted for individual variations in the shape of the foot. Shoes that raise the heels without adjusting the level of the front part of the foot are not advised.
Avatar m tn Hi pleeeez pleeez help me I am 27 yrs of age perfectly healthy until 2 yrs ago where I woz in a incident where I missed a step from 1 ft high and fell on to my right ankle and fell over with a lot of pain especially near the posterior tibial tendon and the navicular bone.
Avatar f tn It's worse on the outside from my ankle down to my arch. I have high arches. Pain feels better when I wear shoes. Otherwise, it is sometimes shooting and very tender, like I bruised or sprained my ankle. Sometimes touching it in a certain place sends a shooting pain. I am on my feet all day. MRI and xray were the only tests.
Avatar n tn Also, my the 4 toe on my right foot sometimes bothers me. I am 35 and have worn uncomfortable heels for years and my right foot is slightly larger than my left foot. When I begin to panic about all of this and look things up on the web my chest bone begins to hurt and I then feel like my throat is closing up. I've always been a rational person and of late am completely freaked out that I might have ALS and it consumes me day and night. Please offer some guidance.
Avatar f tn The simplest reason of a generalized ankle pain is sprain—like in wearing high heels, twisting your ankle etc. Since there is swelling on inner side this is where ligament tear could have happened. This cannot be caught on X-ray as Caregiver said. You need a MRI or clinical examination by an orthopedic doctor. Usually boot plaster is applied for 2-3 weeks to immobilize the ankle and give time to heal.
1533352 tn?1307054656 I started putting band-aids on my feet at first because I was always getting blisters from where my bare skin would be rubbed raw from wearing uncomfortable shoes. I wear alot of high heels without pantyhose, which results in alot of blisters. I also wear various other shoes, always without socks, including ballet flats, penny loafers, moccasins, mary janes, and more recently ankle booties.
Avatar n tn I have a bunion on my right foot. It really hurts when I wear heels and now hurts with any shoes if I stand or walk for long periods of time. What is surgery like these days? How long is typical recovery period? I've heard that bunions will just grow back. Is this true? Any non surgical remedies? My pain is not from friction on the skin. It's in between the bunion and my big toe.
Avatar f tn Since it is on the side of your toe or foot, you may have the start of a bunion. Are you wearing high heels or shoes that pinch your toes (pointed toed shoes)?? I have had bunions on both feet, and this is kind of how they began. Needless to say, I do not advocate high heels OR pointed toed shoes. If your shoes are not fitting properly, they can create many painful problems. Make an appointment and have it checked before it gets any worse.
Avatar f tn for about 5 months my heels have been very sensitive (on both feet) it feels like the skin is tearing. I have to elevate my feet at the ankles and not let my heels touch anything -- just be surrounded by air. I just came back from a week in Maui and I have had so much trouble with my feet --- they have blisters all over the bottom of the whole foot, between toes and everything. They are so so painful.
Avatar n tn Plantar fasciitis, arthritis of small joints, diabetic neuropathy, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, over weight, deep vein thrombosis, wrong foot wear, gout, etc are a few causes of sore feet with heel pain. A high ESR by itself is not diagnostic. You need other tests too. Please consult a rheumatologist and an orthopedic specialist. Take care!
