1890554 tn?1322678048 I was wondering how many of Chiarian sufferers can wear and walk in high heels?
Avatar n tn You are having pain at the big toe joint b/c the joint is out of alignment. Wearing high heels can add more stress to the joint. Have you taken x-rays of the foot? It helps to evaluate the bunion and get a better perspective to see what needs to be surgically done. If the mal-alignment is severe, you would need a procedure that requires 6 weeks on crutches. If not, you would most likely get a procedure that would allow immediate weight bearing.
Avatar m tn as time went on iv been thru phisio MRI scans which nothing showed also had steroid injection coz the doctor thought it mite have been a gout but it went that either then I woz given specially made cast in souls for my flat feet I have had all my life and never affected me until this injury occurred so carried on wearing them for about 10 months and realized where I woz initially having the pain started to ease but I woz having a lot of pain on my heels the moment I was standing on them for more
Avatar f tn I already posted this in another forum but i wanted as much feed back as i can get lol....So I have had pain in the back of my heels since I found out I was pregnant but recently it's getting worse. It doesn't matte if I'm standing or sitting the pain is horrible. If I sit for more than two minutes and try to get up and walk the pain is almost unbearable! Does anyone know what this is? Any advice? Should I talk to my dr when I see her next?
Avatar n tn I reckon everything is quite normal in pregnancy.. I had footpain last week @6weeks it felt like brusing under the balls of my feet and heels felt like they were gonna crack! I bought new runners and feel much better... also enjoyin being barefoot in the house which is new to me!
Avatar f tn Now, it could just be bruised badly, and ice may help with any swelling and ibuprofen for pain and swelling. But if the pain does not get better within a couple of days, I would get to your doctor and especially if you have any swelling around your ankles or on the foot. Good luck!
Avatar f tn For a year now I have had a pain in my foot, there is a fair size bulge on the inside of my foot close to the heel. Also the veins bulge from the side to the bottom of my foot at times. This all occured a year ago when I was walking in heels and slipped on uneven pavement and twisted my ankle. was x-rayed and nothing broken. Frustrated, as I am now on pills again to try to bring down the inflammation. Thank you for any comments or help.
Avatar f tn Who thought maybe the pain was from bursitis and injected both my heels. No dice! Still pain. Had another MRI three weeks ago that showed the same mild plantar fasciitis and now the bone marrow edema in four bones of the foot. The fracture seems to have healed, which is good, but the pain is still here! He is now saying he thinks the pain is from the plantar fasciitis. He told me to take Advil twice a day and stretch and ice my foot again! He did not seem worked up at all by the marrow edema.
1541952 tn?1317816629 I have to wear high heels for work but they like constantly give me awful blisters where the shoe rubs against the bare skin on the back of my heel and I'm always having to cover my feet in bandaids... is there a better solution? I've tried a few different brands of high heels, and like a few different half-sizes up or down and while some are more comfortable than others, I still somehow get blisters everytime.
Avatar f tn I have two question to ask 1. I was told by my mother that I have a thorn in my foot like she does and it is genetics, I was hoping maybe is there a treatment? 2. In my left foot, my Achilles tendon has pain. Its not swollen, I dont think, but its painful. For instance I cannot touch my toes without feeling pain shoot up my leg from my tendon, thats even with stretching, and I cannot bend my foot forward completely and my ankle seems to crack a lot.
Avatar n tn I have burning pain at the bottom of my feet, I was massaing them with foot cream and discovered them to be really red, I am taking five diffrent medication for schizophrenia, I am also overweight 254lbs compared to 159lbs before meds, Spoke with my doctor about it, she said none of the medication would create this problem. Please help I am on fixed income and cannot afford to pay people to take me to different doctors.
1558461 tn?1295392601 but just recently the rest of the foot is giving me fits, have had cortizone injections in both heels, was doing fine until this toe has worsen, now it's flaring up again. Have you had similer problems?
Avatar n tn I am 22 year old Girl. I am having server pain in my both heels and i could hardly walk. I have had my Blood test that showed ESR 66. two Weeks before i Had Urine test and it should Pus in it. the report is as under ESR 66mm, HB10.
Avatar n tn Plantar fasciitis, arthritis of small joints, diabetic neuropathy, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, over weight, deep vein thrombosis, wrong foot wear, gout, etc are a few causes of sore feet with heel pain. A high ESR by itself is not diagnostic. You need other tests too. Please consult a rheumatologist and an orthopedic specialist. Take care!
203342 tn?1328737207 I have pain in my heels, on both feet. I have had no injuies to my feet or legs. When I stand or walk, it is only my heels that hurt and /or are tender when my feet touch the floor. I am in general good health, and do some walking, but not a lot. They are most tender during the morning when I get out of bed, but the tenderness last all day and night. Anyone ever hear of or have this problem?
Avatar f tn Over the past few weeks I've been experiencing a lot of pain in my left heel. I have back issues due to which I've had to spend a lot of time on my feet and that's probably triggered something. Are there special shoes I can wear to prevent further foot fatigue or use special inserts to make it better? Thanks for your help!
Avatar m tn however, if I walk for more than an hour or so, my heels have a vague pain. Not harsh or uncontrollable, but achy enough to make me walk cautiously. What can I do? Can i just apply a cream or something that will get rid of this? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Bend your left knee slightly, tighten your abdominal muscles and gaze forward. Push through your left heel and lift onto the ball of your left foot. Lift as high as possible, then lower your left heel to the floor. Shift your weight onto your left heel and repeat. Complete 12 to 15 repetitions, stopping when your calves fatigue. Before doing anything get The OK from your doctor.
Avatar f tn Since it is on the side of your toe or foot, you may have the start of a bunion. Are you wearing high heels or shoes that pinch your toes (pointed toed shoes)?? I have had bunions on both feet, and this is kind of how they began. Needless to say, I do not advocate high heels OR pointed toed shoes. If your shoes are not fitting properly, they can create many painful problems. Make an appointment and have it checked before it gets any worse.
Avatar n tn Well, though the exact mechanism of formation of Haglund’s deformity is not known, hereditary is believed to play a role in it, especially in people with high arch foot. The theory postulated is that in a person with high arches, the heel bone is tilted backward into the achilles tendon causing constant irritation and minor inflammation. Similar changes can also be caused by shoes with rigid backs or high heels.
Avatar n tn I am having a pain on the bottom outside edge of my foot. It feels like a bruise but has been there for a while. I am a runner and assume this is a training injury. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed (MRI) with a nondisplaced coronally oriented fracture at the base of the second metatarsus. I have had pain and swelling on that foot since 3 years I twisted the foof but never went to doctor. I only had pain if I was standing for too long or wearing high heels. Last week when I got the report the ortho ordered 4 weeks with crutches. I am having a hard time with them so I want to know if I could use anything else, like an ace band?
Avatar m tn Well I keep getting diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and nothing helps. I do not get ANY pain in the morning, I am painless at first but after standing a while the pain starts to build up. I do not feel pain in my fascia if I stretch it, even after a hard day of standing. Heel lifts and taping do nothing to relieve my pain. Most insoles do not help.. Only insole that did a tiny bit was a gel insole.. A cheap one at that. I don't feel any pain when running.
Avatar f tn After 7 months of casts, crutches and Cam walker boots, the pain does not seem to be any better. New MRI shows Marrow Edema in four different bones in my left foot! I have not gotten any info from my doctor yet, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. I can't be on my feet for more than a couple of hours with out having really bad pain and limping. I am very frustrated to say the least!
