Avatar f tn Cutting sugar is good for insulin/glucose issues but I’m not sure it’s going to help with yeast infection. How old are you? Do you take birth control pills?
Avatar f tn After more fluconazole, she switched me to the birth control pill (which made me too sick to function) and put me on Zoloft (which made me too depressed to get out of bed), diagnosing me with vulvodynia, something I'd never heard of. I just wonder... How did this happen? Was it the Depo shot/pill, or could it be the insane amount of fluconazole I've taken over the last couple of months?
Avatar n tn I stopped talking birth control about 4 years ago and have been sexual active a few times after my last period unprotected. I just made 22 a couple of months ago.
Avatar n tn Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this! I am 22 years old and have been dealing with on an off yeast infections for over a year. It all started out last March I got my first yeast infection and UTI at the same time from a Marathon, mind you I was a virgin at the time so it was not from sex. Following that I continued to get them on and off, after meeting my boyfriend and now being sexually active I get yeast infection every week.
Avatar n tn ve been treated with flagyl, fluconazole, over the counter suppositories and nothing works, it just keeps coming back. I am on birth control (orthotricycline) do you think the pill could be causing my recurring yeast infections?
Avatar m tn As far as the drugs.
Avatar f tn I developed a yeast infection 6 months ago, according to my culture results it was a c. albicans infection. After treatment with fluconazole, my symptoms did not resolve and I was re-swabbed and found to have c. glabrata. I’ve been to two different gynecologists since that time and have tried several different treatments (terconazole, fluconazole, Nystatin, boric acid) but the infection will not go away.
Avatar m tn I have had rashes and dark skin on and around scrotum and inner thigh for last 5-6 years. In the beginning rashes and small cuts used to appear between inner thighs and they would heal themselves but they left dark and loose skin when they disappeared. But for last 2-3 months these rashes and cuts started appearing again in ferocious way and these have extended on testicle skins too. When they appear it itches too much results in small cuts with small blood. i m very depressed.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 32 yrs old and a mother of two. The youngest is 14months. I know that I'm supposed to have hairloss after birth, but I noticed that it was turning into patches of baldness. I've tried to better my diet and when doing a bit of research, found that one of the side effects of taking fluconazole was hair loss. I've immediately stop taking this and want to know if my hairloss situation should get better.
Avatar n tn i m really worried wheather 2 continue this pregnancy as effect of the tab lasts for 7 days in blood and medical literature i reffered 2 shows that even a single tab fluconazole taken during pregnancy has left to birth defects. but i read on ur site that first 18 days of conception baby is resistant to harm ful effect of drugs n radiation.
Avatar m tn I had sex for the first time with my boyfriend 3 days ago. we used a lubricated condom and I'm on diane 35 birth control pills. He hasn't had sex since his ex about 8 months ago. He's been tested and I've never had sex. Everything went well but right after my lower abdominal started to hurt and when he fingers me I have bad lower stomach pain and kind of a burning sensation when he fingers me. And it still burns afterwards too.
Avatar f tn As days went on by my goodness my skin changed completely, pimples and rash from face, shoulders, the top and bottom of my back, and been diagnosed with h pylori and candida glabrata. I've gotten rid of h pylori taking mastic gum I've ordered off of amazon. But been prescribed with fluconazole for the past 3 years that never EVER gotten rid of glabrata. I've done new diets (alkaline, carnivore) and and that infection wont ever go away. What's going on?
Avatar f tn Hello and hope you are doing well. There are no known interactions between fluconazole and propranolol, so you can safely take them together. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
1124121 tn?1267135738 It is very difficult to get rid of, probably caused by your birth control, diet (sugars/carbs feed yeast), and yeast can become resistant to almost all treatments in about 4 days never really clearing the infection. Look up chronic candidiasis syndrome, yeast overgrowth! It's not recognized, tested, or properly treated by docs. It's very difficult to get rid of. Start taking a good quality enteric coated Probiotic. Threelac is the best I've found but it's expensive.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Avatar f tn Fluconazole is an antifungal and one pill stays in the blood stream for 3 days. It is normal to take a 'loading dose' the first time which helps get a jump start on the infection. I would take it as the doctor directed. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn canesten, fluconazole, acidophilus, hydrogen peroxide, antibiotics (metronidazole, doxycycline), garlic capsules, folic acid, stopping taking the birth control pill for a month (thought it was hormonal), - as you can tell its driving me a lil bit crazy....
Avatar m tn A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). I treated with Monistat (miconazole)cream, which mostly cleared up my symptoms. I still felt somewhat irritated down there so I went to the doctor. She took a swab sample that came back negative for yeast/bacteria/gonorrhea/chlamydia.I felt fine for 2 weeks, then felt intense burning during intercourse . A few days after that, the itch was back.
Avatar f tn I'm still in my first. I'm at the end though. I haven't taken it yet.
Avatar n tn While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen. I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt. It seems that my Doctor is pretty clueless about yeast infections. The Fact that i had it for about a month now has me worried that there might be a worse condition behind it.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm 23 years old and I was suppose to start my period on June 1 and today is the 8th and nothing came. I have never been late before except when I was pregnant years ago. I have never been on birth control so I'm wondering what other possible reasons could I be late for my period. I am not stressed and I don't have any symptons of being pregnant(at least not with my first child). I took two pregnancy test yesterday which came back negative.
Avatar n tn It is not killing probiotic cultures in your bowels. And 6 weeks is not really longterm, especially since fluconazole is not an antibiotic, but an antifungal. Candida is a mean one, and hard to get rid of. But Candida hates a balanced diet with lots of beans, veggies, wholemeal, yoghurt and fruits. Reduce your meat and sugar intake to aid the meds to kill it off. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Went to my midwife yesterday to get checked out for my 3rd yeast infection in a month, and she found no live yeast, and no reason I should be this uncomfortable...but the itching and pain is extreme and unbearable. I am actually completely swollen down there and she has no clue why! I don't know what to do it hurts so bad and I've never been swollen this bad! No burning when I pee or anything and no blisters or bumps at all...just completely itchy painful and swollen...
Avatar m tn I eventually went to a dermatologist and he presribed to me Cordran Lotion and 200 MG of Fluconazole tablets. They both seem to control the problem but again, does not make it go away. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn I have heard about the patch and the IUD and wanted to know all about them or any other really effective birth control. I don't want anything that will increase my acne, weight, or flow. I have bad acne and flow as it is.
360318 tn?1340393363 So my question is should I get on birth control? How will this effect the way I act and the way I feel? I have heard bad stories about the pill, and that it makes you really cranky, and I am already cranky once I ovulate, and I am worried my boyfriend will leave me if I am more cranky, because he has threatened to leave a few times when I had ovulated and had been cranky.
