Avatar m tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm - which is probably why your doctor said to stop using it. If your cough got better using it, maybe it was helping some allergy symptoms, like post-nasal drip. Did you ask your doctor what he meant, or try to clarify anything? Always feel free to ask questions and clarify anything you don't understand with your doctor.
1939607 tn?1324289300 http://www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm I think it's the Flonase, in my case adverse reactions are: mild swelling (throat), sore throat, white sores/dry spots in the throat, nausea and vomiting, sinus irritation and congestion, pain in the lymph node area. I also experienced feeling difficulty swallowing, dry cough, dry throat/mouth -- all signs of a relatively severe allergy. Lots and lots of sufferers online have been asking about this.

Avatar f tn Also was very agitated while first taking the Flonase and no where in the pamphlet does it mention this is a side effect or to call your doctor if you start coughing, etc. Should have checked the internet like I always do. Needless to say, I am trying not to regret this too much and try to get well.
Avatar n tn The doc said it was a virus with Eustachian tube dysfunction . Sge put me on Flonase The sore throat went awar but was left with a persistent cough for a week . I would wake up and it was so hard to swallow because the Mucus in my throat was so sick. After the cough subside I started to have throat pain again when I wake up then it would proceed to get better during the day and then towards the end of the day it's uncomfortable to say the least .
Avatar n tn Hi, Cough is a sudden, noisy and violent expulsion of air from the chest, caused by irritation in the air passages, or by the reflex action of a nervous or gastric disorder. Chronic and/or dry cough can be side effects of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Allergies and infection are common causes of cough. In response to the allergy-causing agent, people get drainage (usually clear drainage) or a "runny nose." Red, itchy eyes may accompany this cough too.
Avatar m tn Yes, I've only been on it a week and I experience the muscle aches and bilateral flank pain as well. In addition, insomnia!
Avatar f tn I went on that web-site and it is amazing all the side effects people are saying they have from it!! I have had a constant cough and anxiety for 3 years!!! Guess how long I have been taking Flonase?? Why don't doctors know this??? My doctor has never mentioned that my anxiety could be a side effect. I am so thankful for your blog. I hope that this helps me! Thanks again.
Avatar m tn Thanks Randinator (had to call you that cause my daughter is Randi and I always called her that).I never had any side effects with the sovaldi-olysio so I guess they spoiled me.I will follow your advice.Just wanted to be sure It was the Harvoni and not the dreaded flu.Thank you and everyone else for the advice.I hope everyone gets rid of this blasted disease and lives happily ever after.
Avatar f tn I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. I also felt very anxious. I never experienced this before. Boy it was scary.
955491 tn?1253935699 any cuts or scratches on my feet or legs seem to become worse and more itchy and irritated as days go by-i have made every attempt to be careful while doing yard work-a nasty throaty cough seems to have developed.unknown if its related to the side effects--doing a search for each side effect related to doxil turns up numerous possibilities.and yes i know the alternative is far worse and even fatal -so what can one do but wait be grateful ? thank you and my best to everyone.
Avatar f tn He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar f tn Have you been tested for any bacterial infections, like Strep throat? Bad smells are sometimes associated with bacterial infections. If it's not getting better, you should definitely go back to the doctor instead of self-medicating with Flonase. If it's not allergies, Flonase won't help and might make the situation worse.
Avatar n tn ) - is a surgical incision of the vas deferens… (not sure if you actually heard it!..), however as a huge worrier of getting the possible long-life side effects from it, I have to believe and rely on that there is still could be one but an effective nasal remedy against this symptom, thus to undergo this risky and unpredictable surgery could be unnecessary!
Avatar n tn i have tried everything ( including the drops under your tongue) nothing reaaly helps i am tired of feeling like this all time..
Avatar m tn My 5yr old son has always been a good eater. Pretty much eats anything. For the last 2 weeks he has been eating very little, chewing it forever and then seems to have a problem swallowing it. He doesn't complain of a sore throat or stomach ache. We took him to the doctor to check and see if he had strep. He didn't. He was a little stuffy and the doctor gave him Flonase to help clear things out in the hopes this would help. She said to give it a week and then give her a call.
Avatar m tn Most of my side effects are gone, but I still have a few. I feel great, even with the few side effects I have left. What I noticed was they lessened in intensity as the days went by. Then at some point I would realize a certain side effect was gone. Then another and another. They just keep disappearing, but not all at once, and it is gradual. At least that is what I found. I also found that it is a little uneven, just like they are while on treatment.
Avatar f tn Family history: My sister & dad have rhinitis. My mom has chronic cough and her PCP said it’s allergic (don't have detail check-up). I had strong allergic reaction to Erythromycin (whole body & face swollen & covered by hives/rash) when I was a kid Since 2010, I started feeling congested at night (bedtime & early morning) and okay in daytime. Occasionally took Claritin because of tickle in throat but nothing serious. Normal daily life & sleeping is fine.
Avatar f tn Flonase...isn't that addictive?? Just use a netti pot. I think there are low dose zinc lozenges and supplements. I'd get a 2nd opinion r research more, but imho & recent experience: sore throat came on and went away on its own. So how about just trying a little extra water and orange juice, or squeeze fresh lemon into warm or hot water? Would you give your baby flonase for stuffy nose? If not, don't use it for yourself either. Think about the fact that you can have a baby...
Avatar f tn Thanks for your reply. There are so many side effects from so many of the drugs that I wondered if the cough could be one of them. I guess it is just a coincidence. Have you been seizure free since you are on dilantin? His seizures were so violent (he broke a bone in his back caused by the seizure) that it really scares me. He has been fine now but I am the one listening to every noise and not being able to relax.
Avatar f tn Flonase and zertec side effects in children.been taking both sense he was 7 and has stopped growing in height but is gaining weight and is having problems breathing.he is 11 now.
1108194 tn?1378424522 My mother just had her 1st shot of Lucentis. She has a small leak. She is also on Glaucoma eye drops. She is experiencing extreme fatigue and she said her thoughts/memory seem fuzzy. How long do these side effects last? My mother is a small person who doesn't take any other medications except for the eyes. She works out everyday. She isn't up to that either. Does she have to get these every 4 weeks or can they space them out more or lesser dose?
504569 tn?1210454440 It was only on one side this time, lasted a few days. Went away. Came back a week later, on the other side. It hurt to eat because the back of my tongue hurt on that side as well did my jaw. I went back to the Dr. but because my lymphnodes weren't swollen and my throat wasn't red, the Dr. told me she couldn't do anything for me and suggested I take allergy meds. I did-no help. Sore throat went away again for about three weeks until yesterday.
634733 tn?1316625992 I’ve had the most horrible side effects. I already suffer with really bad acid reflux (diagnosed as IBS co they couldn’t find anything else). Well this drug gave me acid to die for – pains in the neck, back, stomach under my ribs; I thought I was having a heart attack!! The acid is so bad at the moment it is making me cough when it hits my throat and the pain – well – and its been 36 hours since I took a tablet. For goodness sake I only took 10 mg and only managed that for 2 days!!!
2114467 tn?1358210256 I have had good luck with Benedryl (diphenhydramine) I am not crazy how sleepy and thirsty it makes me but just about all antihistamines have anticholinergic side effects. Sure, ask your doctor about it but my guess is that it will be OK. If it works for you now then I would definitely take it. It helps to have as many knows as possible when you are taking new meds & new rescue meds.
