If your cough got better using it, maybe it was helping some allergy symptoms, like post-nasal drip. Did you ask your doctor what he meant, or try to clarify anything? Always feel free to ask questions and clarify anything you don't understand with your doctor.
1939607 tn?1324289300 http://www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm I think it's the Flonase, in my case adverse reactions are: mild swelling (throat), sore throat, white sores/dry spots in the throat, nausea and vomiting, sinus irritation and congestion, pain in the lymph node area. I also experienced feeling difficulty swallowing, dry cough, dry throat/mouth -- all signs of a relatively severe allergy. Lots and lots of sufferers online have been asking about this.
Avatar f tn He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar n tn ) - is a surgical incision of the vas deferens… (not sure if you actually heard it!..), however as a huge worrier of getting the possible long-life side effects from it, I have to believe and rely on that there is still could be one but an effective nasal remedy against this symptom, thus to undergo this risky and unpredictable surgery could be unnecessary!

2114467 tn?1358210256 I have had good luck with Benedryl (diphenhydramine) I am not crazy how sleepy and thirsty it makes me but just about all antihistamines have anticholinergic side effects. Sure, ask your doctor about it but my guess is that it will be OK. If it works for you now then I would definitely take it. It helps to have as many knows as possible when you are taking new meds & new rescue meds.

464237 tn?1315670793 t want the infection to get even worse. How is it ok to use flonase for bacterial infection? Have any of you used flonase for infection. My infection is not allergy related, it came from a cold that was going around. Thanks so much for reading. and yes I have been using nasal irrigation along with all of the other home remedies I have found on the internet.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar f tn After about a week a lot of the side effects subsided; no more panic attacks, mood swings, brain fog, head pressure. I got a CAT scan done as well and everything came back good; she did say something about my sinuses being small but that it's normal considering my allergies. However after a month of quitting this nasal spray, I'm still having issues with my vision. I've been to the eye doctor three times.
Avatar m tn For instance-time released bupropion ruined my life for a while but changing to immediate release bupropion did not have the negative side-effects. Also, using fluticasone (Flonase) more than a few days at a time exacerbates my depression/suicidality. Bottom line: be careful and take notes of how your body responds to meds.
Avatar f tn Also was very agitated while first taking the Flonase and no where in the pamphlet does it mention this is a side effect or to call your doctor if you start coughing, etc. Should have checked the internet like I always do. Needless to say, I am trying not to regret this too much and try to get well.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone. For the past week and a half I have been dealing with unrelenting panic. I truly mean unrelenting, as it has been a problem for 10 or more hours a day. I've been fighting severe nasal congestion for over a month and I've been on a corticosteroid spray for the last three weeks, but my doctor doesn't think that the spray is producing these side effects. Something's up.

Avatar f tn Are you taking flonase?? Google blogs on flonase side effects. It was amazing and doctors don't tell you this stuff. I am not taking flonase as of today!!
Avatar n tn According to a couple of websites, Flonase (which is a steroidal medication) can have potential side effects of easy bruising, menstrual irregularities, and more of the symptoms you listed too (see private message for more info). Marijuana can increase your heart rate, which can make you sweat. It also can cause anxiety (see private message for more info). Pristiq can cause side effects of rapid heart rate, sweating and diarrhea amongst other things (see private message).
Avatar m tn Doctors say it is not because of the spray because so little is absorbed into the system through the nose, but I have read online that Beconase is absorbed more than other nasal sprays, (up to 44% of each dose is swallowed). I have seen numerous people reporting palpitations and other systemic effects across the internet after using Beconase and other brands (Nasonex, Flonase etc) of steroid nasal sprays. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Avatar f tn Did your doctor say what it is, bump or pimple? How do you feel the bump? Is it in the area between the outside skin on your nose and the air channel, or is it against an inside wall of you nose? Your bumps may be the same as my ear lobe experience. I often have a bump in my ear lobe and while it doesn't bother me much I find myself squeezing the ear lobe with my fingers to feel the bump.
612551 tn?1450022175 I have been using Warfarin for many years and only after the troublesome nose bleed a couple of months back did I start getting some blood when blowing nose hard.. and only on the left side, the side that had the bleed problem. There must be something weak on that blood barrier. The ENT didn't want to do and cauterization work following the troublesome nose bleed..it may be (don't remember) the is nothing to cauterize as the whole area is just "weak"...
Avatar f tn I used to take Seldane (it was removed from the market in 1998 after causing several heart arrthmias). It seems to me something replaced it that was supposed to be seldane without the bad effects, but I can't recall the name of the drug. Anyway, I think some of my afib issues started with these drugs. You can't be too careful if you prone to heart issues.
