Avatar m tn Afterwards my cough came back and I saw a doctor and he told me do not use flonase which makes me cough. I am confused?
Avatar f tn Had a sore throat and the doctor at the clinic had me take Flonase saying it was an allergy and I did, against my better judgement. Developed a cough about10 days later and saw my regular physician (probably much later than I should have, about two more weeks) and she gave me an antibiotic that helped for a while and told me that if this continues, to have a chest x-ray. Did that and they found two very small nodules that they think are benign (possible calcium deposits).
Avatar f tn This time, my symptoms were a slightly scratchy throat, a very dry throat, and most noticeable, a very bad breath. I purchased Flonase and started using it 4 days ago. I use it every night and my sickness has seemed to get better. However, the breath is still slightly there. Starting today, a ticklish feeing in the back of my Thais has appeared and I continue to get the urge of wanting to cough.
Avatar n tn I have fibromyalgia so and am in grad school and working so fatigue is my middle name . I wear a mouth guard and washed real good thinking maybe there was some bacteria on it or something .
Avatar m tn My 5yr old son has always been a good eater. Pretty much eats anything. For the last 2 weeks he has been eating very little, chewing it forever and then seems to have a problem swallowing it. He doesn't complain of a sore throat or stomach ache. We took him to the doctor to check and see if he had strep. He didn't. He was a little stuffy and the doctor gave him Flonase to help clear things out in the hopes this would help. She said to give it a week and then give her a call.
Avatar n tn its gotten alot worse over the last three..have been tested i am severely allergic to all tree pollens grass and ragweed pollen mold and dogs..i have tried everything ( including the drops under your tongue) nothing reaaly helps i am tired of feeling like this all time..
Avatar f tn Family history: My sister & dad have rhinitis. My mom has chronic cough and her PCP said it’s allergic (don't have detail check-up). I had strong allergic reaction to Erythromycin (whole body & face swollen & covered by hives/rash) when I was a kid Since 2010, I started feeling congested at night (bedtime & early morning) and okay in daytime. Occasionally took Claritin because of tickle in throat but nothing serious. Normal daily life & sleeping is fine.
Avatar f tn I have a cold and I talked to the pharmasict. And he says all I can take is Tylenol. No cough candies, no vitamin c, unless it is naturally occurring. No extra zinc, except what is in my prenatal vitamins. I checked with my doctor and they agreed. She did give me a prescription for a nasal spray to help with breathing. It is called Flonase.
1939607 tn?1324289300 http://www.rxlist.com/flonase-side-effects-drug-center.htm I think it's the Flonase, in my case adverse reactions are: mild swelling (throat), sore throat, white sores/dry spots in the throat, nausea and vomiting, sinus irritation and congestion, pain in the lymph node area. I also experienced feeling difficulty swallowing, dry cough, dry throat/mouth -- all signs of a relatively severe allergy. Lots and lots of sufferers online have been asking about this.
20896457 tn?1592763839 My 5 year old daughter developed a runny nose and cough in early September. The mucus from her nose always drains down the back of her throat (postnasal drip) and that's what makes her cough. She's been to the pediatrician twice, and both times the Dr said her lungs were clear. The Dr prescribed amoxicillin on the first visit because her symptoms had been present for 3 weeks by then.

Avatar f tn My son started this noise over 6 months ago. At first we thought he was clearing his throat but the dcotor called it a cough, as he's inhaling before it happens. She heard a wheeze in his chest and is sending him to a pediatrician. She's thinking asthma, but I've never heard anything like it. Fast forward to 0:45 and 1:30 in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar f tn When I went in I was breathing very heavily with tightness throughout my chest and lungs, a dry cough that was almost nonstop ,a very bad wheeze, the cough would feel it was breaking up mucus only at night time but I never coughed anything up.
Avatar f tn I have the Arnold Chiari malformation and had the decompression surgery 21 yes ago. I have allergies and chronic sinusitis which makes me cough frequently and severely causing me unbearable pain in the back of my head like it is going to explode. It is almost too much to handle and it happens way too often. Any suggestions or advice please ?
7993104 tn?1396090856 I feel almost like I need a nebulizer treatment. I cough for a while and my the late morning I feel better but it is concerning. Is this normal? I would like to point out that while I snore, I didn't go to the doc complaining of any sleep issues. I feel that I sleep better w/o all that stuff on me. However my oximetry test said otherwise...
Avatar n tn The doctor took a chest X-ray and gave me Flonase. The Flonase did dry up the mucus but I still have the cough. If anyone knows what's going on, please respond to both of us.
Avatar m tn One doctor said I have postnasal drip due to the bad flu i had in December. I’ve taken Flonase, mucinex, and sudafed and don’t notice any difference in my need to cough up mucus after eating or drinking. I’ve had trouble swallowing for a year and a half and have had an esophagram and an endoscopy recently which showed esophageal rings, gastritis, and gastric polyp. I don’t have a stricture. Doctor suspects Esophagitis.
Avatar n tn I still do not cough AT ALL when I am lying down but when I am up and moving around I cough almost continually. My cough is very dry and hard (I have to wear panty liners at all times because I wet a little everytime I cough). I am not as bad as I was the day that I was in the ER but I am FAR from feeling normal. Any help as to where to go from here....I am very frustrated.
Avatar f tn I started to get a "thick mucus" feeling back in February and was irritated enough that I went to see an ENT. She didn't see anything immediately wrong so she gave me flonase which did not work. The mucus is almost impossible to cough up, so I just have to wait for it to come up naturally. When it doesn't come up as one big blob, it is usually clear but thicker than what I'm used to.
Avatar f tn SHe prescribed him with QVAR and Flonase and wants to see him back in 6 weeks. So my question, could he have caught TB from this guy that spit on him? Or am I over reacting? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Help. I've had a cough now for 7 months and I can't take it anymore. I'm 26 year old male who was relatively healthy. This cough started shortly after a common cold and has not gone away since. It is usually a dry cough, although on rare occasions I can feel mucus flying around. Also, it has caused me to sometimes clear my throat constantly. Furthermore, since this started I have had near constant nasal swelling (ie hard to breathe out of one or both nostrils).
Avatar f tn I went to the ENT today. He told me I have a deviated septum, a narrow passage and a lot of congestion. He told me that Flonase and nasal sprays won't help me much. He wants me to do a sleep study. He asked if I feel tired during the day or have headaches in the morning. Which I do sometimes. I do not want to wear a C-pap. I was told there was a surgery. Anyone know about it?
Avatar f tn 45 and 1:30 in the clip): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyCZCHf4Qhc Finally this summer, his GP suggested maybe it was post-nasal drip and that we try allergy meds. After a month on Claritin and Flonase there was no improvement. He went back for his follow up and she finally listened to his chest. While we can't hear it, with a stethoscope, she said she did definitely hear a wheeze in his chest.
Avatar m tn He also has albuterol inhaler and Flonase. However, it does not work sometime like the last 2 nights. The flonase really made it worst so I stop. He has this about a year off and on, but worse when the weather change.I have air filter and huminifier at home as well. Myself, I started having sinus issue only recently about 2-3 years. I have post nasal drop 2-3x per week. Sometime mild and sometime very bad.
Avatar f tn I am taking pseudaphed during the day, benadryl at night and flonase. (Bad spelling) Now my throat is tight and it feels like I am about to get larengitis. Is it getting better or worse; should i keep doing what I am doing. I am also using afrin once in a while, and i have not allowed my ears to get wet in the shower for the past week.
Avatar f tn About a year ago I developed what I thought was the flu. I went to the dr. Who gave me antibiotics. It went away for a few days but then came back. My symptoms were running nose, nasal drainage down my throat filling my lungs with gunk, and subsequent cough. After 3 more trips to my family Dr. and three more, and different antibiotics, I demanded something was wrong and I'm not taking any more antibiotics. I went to see an ENT and he said it was my deviated septum causing the problems.
