It caused the ringing in my ears to get worse. I've had minor chest pain for a few days. All of these are on the list of side effects.

Avatar m tn Flomax can cause "floppy iris syndrome" (FIS). A small percentage of people on Flomax and a much much smaller % of people that were on Flomax in the past but not on it now have FIS. FIS can make surgery, usually cataract, more difficult as the pupil does not stay dilated. However FIS is now widely recognized and special techniques have been devised to deal with the floppy, contracting iris.
Avatar m tn My urologist prescribed Ditropan, which I took for about a year, which helped at first. Flomax was added the following year, which again worked for awhile, but the symptoms returned after 6 months or so. The Flomax caused retrograde ejaculation, which bothered me because in the past, I had always shot a fairly substantial load when I ***.
Avatar n tn And i think it maybe a reaction to the medication. I did do a search on Leviquin and side effects and found several patients having this reaction. Along with other reactions mention were pain or distress in the tendens??? I saw Dr. One today...and seems he was evasive or defensive in answering my questions. That and i quote...he didn't have the time to discuss it my questions or something like that. He did say i had prostititus(sp) and said no urologist would ever consider surgery ...
Avatar f tn I am VERY allergic to the IVP dye they use for kidneys - I literally coded and was warned never to have that again, but the nurse said this contrast doesn't contain any iodine, so hope that's what it was that caused that terrible experience. The side effects to the contrast are: nausea, vomiting, rash and worst - heart attack! Very comforting!!! But it will be fine. I'm taking a small dose of Klonopin about an hour before the procedure. Thanks for your info and will check back in later.
Avatar m tn You doctor must surely rule out it is not causing the pain. Pain from one side shifting to the other side is a typical symptom of CPSS and Myofascial pain. The pain will be unilateral in constant, however suddenly on a day it will shift from one side to the other side. During this time, the pain in the original side will be absent or reduce for many of them, however it will come back to its original side after few days. Have you read this book "A headache in pelvis"?
Avatar n tn I can urinate pretty freely, and the whole area down there seems relaxed. Sweet relief! On the negative side, I'm experiencing a common side effect - masturbated the other day, and no semen came out! Freaked out until I read that Flomax can cause ejaculatory failure and/or retrograde ejaculation. Bizarre stuff, let me tell ya. But, I'll take shooting blanks over the pain and discomfort any day! Morgannon P.S. Enigmaman, have you tried direct heat yet?
Avatar f tn My wife just had cataract surgery on both eyes. We chose Tecnis Monofocal ZA9003 Its important to understand there is no best automobile but there are a lot of very good ones. There is no "best" IOL. There are a lot of very good IOLs. Most monofocal give very good results. As people start asking for more and more glasses independence then the IOLs become more complicated, the surgery much more expensive and the chance of complications more common.
