Flexeril with suboxone

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril with suboxone

flexeril

Avatar n tn He informed my husband that the ambien cr could be taken with the suboxone. I was still a bit nervous so of course my husband slept beautifully with me watching each breath to make sure he didn't suffer respiratory distress...I believe that suboxone reaction depends on the individual and your best bet would be to open up more to your doctor because he knows more about you than anyone here could.
Avatar f tn Are you sure the flexeril dose is 100mg?That is high..flexeril comes in 10mg tabs and 100 mg is 10 tabs a day?Is this right?
7392085 tn?1390512827 I recently walked off the clinic on 89mgs but I got 7 days worth of suboxone & can get mire if needed by a doctor of course will I be ok
871357 tn?1244040713 I think anything pretty much can be addictive if perceived to be. How many did she take before she went to sleep? No, she should not have needed the excederinpm unless she was asking for the pain.? Just watch her, she won't try to od on the flexeril will she.? Do a search on the flexeril and see what you can find out about it. I took it for awhile, didn't seem to help a whole lot but I hear some say it works well for them. Yes, it should, could make her sleepy.
Avatar m tn My son has been on this for a year, his doctor finally weaned him off, with flexeril & something else. But he is experiencing withdrawal and he's only been off it a few days. I didn't realize how bad this stuff was until now. My question is when will the discomfort of this start to subside? He is starting a very important internship in 2 weeks & he's very worried about controlling this withdrawal . I think the doctor had him on it too damn long. Thanks for your response.
Avatar f tn You have to be careful what you take with suboxone. Things like Ativan are extremely dangerous to take with Sub. So are some of the really strong muscle relaxers. Please becareful with these.
Avatar m tn You should be OK on those things but I would not start at the full doses of L-Tyrosine. Build up 500mg at a time and see how you do. You shouldn't need the valium with the Flexeril. Neurontin sometimes has helped with w/ds so that should actually benefit you.
Avatar f tn I've tried both Soma and Flexeril (not at same time!) for muscle relaxers (I have fibromyalgia, lupus, severe arthritis). Really the only side effect I've experienced with the Flexeril is that it makes me VERY sleepy, but when I'm hurting and having trouble getting the rest that I need, that actually is a good thing!
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
1800740 tn?1324237171 My suboxone doctor has me on a fairly slow taper. I am at 2 mgs now and he wants me to jump off completely around Christmas. Since I was on a low dose of methadone (30 mgs. per day) before I went to suboxone, he seems to think it will be quite easy for me. In December, I will have been on suboxone for a year. Meanwhile, I'm reading horror stories about suboxone withdrawal. Do you think I will have an easy time during wds?
Avatar m tn I just seen that you posted. Sorry so long to get back with you. The flexeril never helped me. It did not even make me sleepy. Why don't you call the posion control hotline and believe it or not they can help you. If not they can give you a number to call. If you don't want to do that call your local er and let them know what's going on for him.
Avatar f tn I have been on Suboxone since Jan 4-8 mg a day my doctors instructions at first was to take 8 mags but that was too much for me so he had me take 4 MSG and that worked for me. I played around with it, taking more when I felt I needed more and less when I wanted to start a taper. 30 films lasted me about 2 months. A couple days ago I went back to the doc and asked for 4mg strips instead if 8 mg figuring this will help me along my taper.
Avatar f tn Before getting pregnant i was taking tramadol and flexeril to take the edge off if my jaw started locking up. Now my ob just has me on the lowest dose of flexeril but it seems to do nothing for it. Just 10 more weeks though i think i can make it if i've gotten this far.
Avatar m tn I've been on suboxone a lil over 2years. I was addicted to Laura tabs and opanas for about a year and a half. I wanted to try and get clean but the withdrawals was too much seeing I worked 40+ hours around the clock so my buddy hooked me up with a couple of subs saying they would help me get off opiates which they did but I slowly started to get addicted to the suboxone. Next thing I know I'm buying them every week off the street.
Avatar f tn My boyfriend was addicted to vicodin for about a year after he was going thru a break up and going thru depression. He then turned to suboxone and has been taking that for about 3 years. He's planning to withdrawl In about 7 weeks and be done and turnover a new chapter. He's tampering down 1 mg a week right now he's on 7mg. So next week will be 6mg. And so on.. He really is determined to do it now that I know and he has all the support. My question is what should I expect?
757527 tn?1237893063 My doctor prescribed 5mg Flexeril daily. I took one last night and my pain went from a 8 (on a 10 scale) to about a 3. Has anyone else tried these? Can they be used long term? I'd rather not have to rely on medicine, but if this is helping me, I may have to stick with it. I also get myofascial massages, use warm heat, take Vit B50, and am trying some new supplements for muscles and joints.
Avatar f tn Yes, absolutely. Suboxone is an opiate and is extremely addictive. People find it just as difficult to taper and quit. One of the patients in our clinic, who we had to detox from Suboxone, was so addicted, that no matter how far down she titrated this drug she could not get off. At one point she was literally just licking the 1 mg strip, but she could not give it up. I find that most have the same problem with both of these drugs.
Avatar f tn I have been on Suboxone now for a year and have had great sucees with it and not using other drugs. But as with any drug your tolerence increases so does your dose need to. Well when I see him I am afraid to tell him that for the past three months I've run out a week in advance and make up reasons as to come see him early which is not being honest with him. I dont feel Im abusing it , its just my current dose is 1.5 8mg. Strips a day.
Avatar m tn m not a doctor but I too have been battling addiction for about 4 years off an on. Suboxone is a type if opiate. You can get addicted to suboxone if taken for long periods of time. If you take it for a few days like you say you are it just takes the cravings and the sickness away for the amount of time that your on it but once it wears off you will go back into withdrawal. There's no cure for dopesickness other than to suck it up and get through it. Trust me I know it can be brutal.
Avatar m tn I am so glad that you quit Methadone, but you are absolutely correct, switching to Suboxone is just going from one devil to another. People find it just as difficult to taper and quit. One of the patients in our clinic, who we had to detox from Suboxone, was so addicted, that no matter how far down she titrated this drug she could not get off. At one point she was literally just licking the 1 mg strip, but she could not give it up.
Avatar f tn In your question it is unclear to me as to whether you are ready to quit taking Suboxone or want advise on how to get you doctor to give you more. Suboxone was approved as a substitution treatment for opioid addiction specifically because the patient was not suppose to develop a tolerance to it and need a higher dose. Obviously, this fails to be the case in many instances.
Avatar f tn Most people find it difficult to come of Suboxone. One of the patients in our clinic, who we had to detox from Suboxone, was so addicted, that no matter how far down she titrated this drug she could not get off. At one point she was literally just licking the 1 mg strip, but she could not give it up. I find that most Suboxone prescribers tend to leave their patients on this drug as a form of maintenance and are either unwilling or unable to taper them off.
1653969 tn?1390331661 The instant sleep thing will go away after you establish a routine with it. Wish that I could really help you - but yours isnt a common complaint with flexeril. Do you do any breathing exercises? A couple of minutes of tai chi and meditation and particularly the breathing exercises are very valid therapies.
Avatar f tn And sorry to hear about your experience with Flexeril. I have not heard of any dependency issues of that drug before. It does make sense that your body can become accustom to any medication. Have you discussed this with your PCP? As Sandee said I don't know how many you are taking per day not the dose. I think I would just gradually reduce this medication. Are you sure the migraines are related to the discontinuation of the medication....or could their be another factor going on?
Avatar f tn I'm on Subutex because I was taking oxycontin and smoking heroin, I thought suboxone didn't give withdrawals but it does, very bad ones, I took 2 weeks vacation from work to try going cold turkey from the Subutex and have been in so much pain, I only made it 4 days then had to take half a subutex, then 3 days and had to take half a subutex and now 2 days and again took Subutex but only a quarter, obviously I can't handle withdrawals, is tapering a successful method or are they any ti
