I have severe back pain to the point I wake up sleeping on my back because I esentially get 'stuck' it feels like its out of joint at times. Also severe leg cramps most of the time I can't sit stand or lay without discomfort to the point I have trouble sleeping at all. Is flexeril harmful to my baby at 29 weeks?? I was thinking of taking a half pill. Not for regular use, just in extreme pain.
Went to the urgent care and he advised to try to see if just Tylenol, rest, heating/icing would relieve any pain but gave me a prescription for flexeril, a muscle relaxer, and a pain medication. I am nervous to take either but nothing else has done much so far. I can barely walk upright. Has anyone ever taken muscle relaxers pregnant? I plan on calling my ob tomorrow when they open again but wanted advice.
I am in same boat. My doc prescribed me a muscle relaxer, flexeril. Which is also a class b drug.
i talked to my Dr and she actually prescribed Flexeril, which i was weary about but she swore up and down it was okay once youre this far along (i was 37 wks when she rx'd it). she also said that using something like bengay or the tylenol precise muscle cream might help. she said it was from the baby sitting on sciatic nerve. it was REALLY painful! one night of the flexeril helped it completely and didnt even need it again. also, i put a mattress pad on my bed and that helped a ton also...

Hi I was on Lortab tens for 8 yrs I have had a new dr and she is great for the last 9 yrs along the way she changed me to morphine 50/2mg E/R capsals twice a day (every 12 hrs)I know that loratab has Tylenol at a dose of 325mg and Tylenol goes thru your liver but what about morphine I was told it goes in to my blood stream is this true I had liver cancer in 1981 so I am trying to protect my liver and I have stage 3 kidney disease on the low end of stage 3 I also take flexeril 10 mg 3 a day but I
who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen. The Naproxen made him very sick as well as angry (the anger could also be from coming off of the Tramadol) so now he's taking Percocet and Flexeril. I used to be a Pharmacy Tech so I know the combination of all these drugs can be (or is) dangerous and initially (while on Tramadol) he didn't use the Percocet but I found out he was using the Flexeril with the Tramadol.
Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
The first few days were ok, just interrupted sleep but last night... NOTHING. I took a tylenol PM and that was no help. Any suggestions for something over-the-counter that may help me sleep and get rid of these damn night sweats?
Vicodin is a pain reliever with tylenol. The other two are antidepressants,one an SSRI the other an SNRI.
To me taking them together make no sense. They do travel different pathways in the brain/body, one holds Norephineprine where it is needed for energy and pain reduction. Serotonin is held where it is needed by both meds which help with depression.
Trust your doctor. He must have assessed that your depression is serious and a source of your pain besides the Fibromyalgia.
My hips feel like they are breaking when i try to roll over. The only thing that eases the pain is flexeril which my obgyn prescribed for my pain to help me sleep. Talk with your doc and see if they cant give you some muscle relaxers, they really help with the pain. And if you have insomnia like me, they will put you straight to sleep and you'll sleep all night; until of course you have to pee.
heating pad, warm baths, tylenol, and when the back pain gets really bad I have a prescription for flexeril but I usually just deal with the pain.
I have been prescribed Flexeril for over a year, as a muscle relaxant for long term back and neck pain... I was told it was a 'safe' drug, and not to worry about it - it was not addicting. Now, after taking it for this long, I have re-read the patient information packet, and see that it is only for short term use, and I cannot find information on how to titrate off.

Day 4 is very close to the time that physical withdrawals generally start subsiding. Of course, this all depends upon your dosages. 30mg Roxy's are pretty powerful things, so it may linger a while. I'm gonna be honest here, I tried Flexeril during most all of my detoxes. They never seemed to help me at all. That being said, I'm pretty tolerant to muscle relaxers, so none of them did me very much good even when I was using. Try them before bedtime, they may help you to sleep.
Alcohol and flexeril are both central nervous system suppressants and consuming alcohol while taking flexeril compounds the drowsiness, confused thinking, respiratory suppression of the muscle relaxant. Flexeril/alcohol combos are frequent causes of accidental overdose.
I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.
I wouldn't even consider taking that. Talk to ur dr.
