Avatar n tn Im 20 yrs old and ive had uti for as long as I could remember... it wasn't until recently I had these terrible pains... pains to were I cant walk talk or sometimes even breath... every little move I make is painful... this pain prevents me from keeping a job being active... at the end of the day it makes me very depressed... someone suggested flexeril to me but I'm scared to take it... please give me some advice...
Avatar n tn ) Although I do try to keep my mind over the pain through meditation and other positive mind-thought methods, I continue to take pain medications (ultram-er/flexeril) daily as well as loveox injections for the clots (of which, I may be on for life - at last check the clots had not recanalized - both clots are becoming thick and fixed.) Do you have suggestions on how I can better manage my daily pain as well as maintain mobility and some flexibility, oppose to stiffening of the hips and spine?
Avatar f tn I've tried both Soma and Flexeril (not at same time!) for muscle relaxers (I have fibromyalgia, lupus, severe arthritis). Really the only side effect I've experienced with the Flexeril is that it makes me VERY sleepy, but when I'm hurting and having trouble getting the rest that I need, that actually is a good thing!
Avatar m tn Wow, I'm out of action for at least 16 hours after just one Flexeril! And for the entire next day I'm a space cadet.
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar f tn My back is really bothering me!! Hurts so bad and can't relax for anything!! I'm 35 weeks and really want to! Has anyone taken a muscle relaxer or even a half of one?
Avatar m tn I have been having terrible bladder and stomach spasms for years. I have been diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, however I am not sure why that would cause my stomach to spasm also. They spasm so much you can actually see my shirt move if I am laying flat. I am at a loss as to what to do. They have gotten very bad over the last two weeks. I am urinating 20-30 times a day. Everything seems to irritate it. I feel like there is a balloon in my stomach and bladder that is about to burst.
Avatar n tn I swear by Flexeril! I have dealt with Chiari symptoms for over 20 years now and now if I take a Flexeril right when the headache starts to come on, I fall asleep and wake up as if I never had the headache. It is a miracle drug for Chiari headaches!!
Avatar f tn flexeril is not a drug of abuse as a norm..and good for u...made it thru to day 5..
Avatar n tn I'm worried! My fiancee' has been prescribed Tramadol, which worked very well for him but he has gone through 40 pills in 10 days and the way his dr. wrote his script it says "use 1-2 tablets every 8 hours as needed" so he cannot get a refill for another 2 weeks. He saw a local dr. who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen.
14195784 tn?1435290693 Its been going on for about 2 months now. I could be walking down the hall and i feel hot water on my cheeks and find that im crying. Most the time i dont feel sad or over happy or really anything and there is nothing ever in my eyes when the tears start to fall. I have seen myself cry, my face gets red and my eyes swell up and in all the times i found myself randomly crying my face is never red or my eyes are not puffy.
Avatar f tn I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.
Avatar m tn I'm glad to hear you got some relief from Flexeril. It didn't do anything for my pain at all. It only made me feel stoned and hungover. I'd be careful drinking with it, particularly because you just started taking it. You might experience some kind of cumulative effect after taking a few doses.
Avatar f tn I am still in limbo land but my neurologist didn't answer my question at my last appointment about my muscle spasms (even though I'm mid-testing I feel like I'm going to change, he doesn't listen or answer my questions well). Anyways. It's all so confusing and I would like to understand a little bit more. The ones I'm specifically asking about are the big thigh muscles on the front of my legs and my groin muscles.
1168718 tn?1464983535 thanks guys, I think I will hold off on the Baclofen, and stick my Flexeril as it does seem to help, though not entirely, but it doesn't have the side effects for me ..... Hope you are all having a bright, sunny day..
Avatar f tn I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar f tn Flexeril is not addictive if you use it only when needed I took it for years for a bad back but you dont get hi on it so for the most part if taken as directed your ok just stay away from soma that is a different story...................................Gnarly.....................................
Avatar n tn Flexeril didnt do anything at all for me - you may want to try it though - it might help sleep if taken around bedtime........its not dangerous at least........
Avatar f tn Thank you all for your comments. I haven't taken flexeril as I don't feel comfortable taking it. It was actually my obgyn who prescribed me all that so I am still disappointed. He doesn't seem to listen to.my problems. But I am also using hot patch for my shoulder pain and that's helping me. My right wrist pain is gone but my left is still same. I will buy the wrist strap for carpel tunnel. Tha k you all for suggestions.
Avatar f tn I see a pain management doctor and have spinal injections every 12 weeks. I was prescribed Vicoden 10/325 for pain as well as flexeril and gabapentin. Neither the flexeril or the gabapentin seem to help with muscle tightness, spasms, or nerve pain. I am seeing my doctor again in two days and I wondered if any one could tell me of medications that have worked for you. I have a high tollerence to medication, most do not make me sleepy at all.
Avatar n tn I am a recovering drug addict and alcoholic so my doctor is pretty strict with what types of drugs I can try for my MS so I have never tried Flexeril. I find that Valerian knocks me out when I can't sleep and is totally natural.
Avatar f tn I certainly cant tell you to take flexeril. I will say that I have been taking cyclobenzoprine (flexeril) off and on as needed for a bunch of years. Its never a good idea to use someone elses meds. There are no contraindications for flexeril with hydro - but they are not in the same class. There is nothing opiate in a flexeril.
Avatar m tn The doctor prescribed him, Flexeril, a muscle relaxant. He took the pills for 3 weeks like the doctor suggested. Two days after he stopped taking the Flexeril he started to experience withdrawal like symptoms. Unusual thoughts, dry mouth, numb lips, mood swings, confusion, etc. He had his wife call 911 because he thought he was having a stroke.
747443 tn?1233024111 I tried Lyrica but the side effects were too much for me, Same with Neuronton. I am finally taking Ultram ER 200mg 2 X a day, Flexeril at night along with a mild sleeping pill, I take Zoloft 100mg in the morning and 50mg at night. I also take Baclofen at night. My internist put me on Norco for the break through pain. I went back to the Rhemy last week and he put me on Sulfasalazine for the RA. My hands are beginning to twist and knot up. my elbows are knotted up also.
Avatar f tn Yes, I guess the doc said it is common to get the irregular heartbeat than they seem to say on the package insert for Flexeril. It worked well for me for 3 weeks and then worked only as a good sleeping pill and took my night sweats away, LOL. I can't take valium because I take klonopin. My FP said I could but I don't think it is a good idea for me. As for you if you don't get bad with drawal by using it once in a while (off and on) instead of every day it would be good.
Avatar m tn Two months ago i took flexeril (muscle relaxer) for tmj like symptoms. Right after that i noticed hypo symptoms and when i went to the doc intested at tsh 17. Was i wrong to think that the pill triggered my thyroid? I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.
