Avatar f tn I am prescribed quite a few pain meds and benzo's for Chronic pain and anxiety but need advice on getting off Fentanyl Patch ASAP. I am prescribed Fentanyl Patch 100mcg every 36 hrs, Diladid 8mg 2-3 daily, Percocet 7.5 4 daily, Norco 7.5 4 daily, klonopin 1mg 4x daily, Valium 10mg 2-3 daily, Flexeril 10mg 3x daily, Phenergan 25mg 2x daily. I now am down to taking 50mcg Fentanyl every 72 hrs, 1/2 so 4 mg of Diladid if needed 0-2 a day, 1/2 of Percocet so about 3.
Avatar f tn I voted 5-10 but I don't take meds specifically prescribed for fibro. They are for the stuff that goes along with it.... singulair, xyzal, omnaris (chemical sensitivities and regular allergies) synthroid topamax (migraines) wellbutrin After being seriously overmedicated for 4 years before my dx....I'm also very careful about what meds I take and how they interact. I didn't have any luck with flexeril, amitriptyline or cymbalta. I took vioxx for years and felt great on it....
Avatar m tn t sleep because of these constant muscle contractions in my legs and back. Last week the dr. gave me Flexeril, the muscle relaxer to help sleep. It works well but leaves me so groggy the next day. the last few days I have only been taking 1/2 or even 1/3 pill, it takes longer to sleep, but still works. Last night I tried without one and the muscle spasms were worse. Does anyone know if the Flexeril is actually causing these to last longer than they normally would?
363110 tn?1340920419 I'm on this board and also the pain mgmt board since I deal with chronic back pain. after taking my norco for 1 week I chose to dump the rest out this was last monday. We're at almost a week without now and I hurt like hell (prior back injury w/nerve damage) and I'm not sleeping well or eating well. after 1 day the stomach problems stopped and it took the first 3 days for my pain to level out, my pain has leveled out at about a 4 most times but can spike to an 8 or 9 with activity.
Avatar m tn I find that it works pretty well for me and for me, it does not make me as sleepy as flexeril does (another muscle relaxer), but of course, everyone is different, so it may very well affect you differently. I've also tried Skelaxin, but for me, it did absolutely nothing.
Avatar f tn Being the smart and AMAZING man I married about 6 months ago he took the norco and locked them up. Every night he would give me my night time one and leave 3 in a pill box for the next day while he was at work. After that I noticed because they were there and there was NO way to get an extra was ALL I could think about. Fast fwd to 2 months ago. I was on the following...
217599 tn?1202850952 it would have been better if he had given me the norco, as i know how to taper off of it and have very few wd symptoms.
Avatar f tn The dosages were upped until reaching norco 10/325. 4 per day. This with Tramadol 300. Within the last year I have had to add flexeril multiple times per day as well as gabapentin multiple times per day. As if this wasnt enough i have severe RLS but the meds made me VERY sick so dr upped my xanax rx to help with sleep because of the RLS. I first stopped the tramadol, 1 1/2 weeks later I stopped the gabapentin and then a few days later the flexeril.
1387175 tn?1326400997 I have RA I take Norco 10/325 And 2 soma 350mg but I want slowly get of soma even with a disc in my lower back L5S1 lumbar neuropathy radopathy
669241 tn?1236264344 m taking Ultram ER 400mg a day, Flexeril for muscle cramps at night, Restoril very night to help me sleep, Norco twice a day for break through pain, Zoloft for depression, a lot of vitamins ad fish oil. My pain never completely goes away, but mostly it's around 5-6 on a scale 1-10. Right now I'm just trying to get it under 10 not having much luck. Good luck to you and welcome.
Avatar n tn I have tried several muscle relaxers over the years for my shoulder pain and flexeril is the only one that works for me. It helps with the pain and also helps me to sleep. I am really sensitive to medication so I usually only take half of a 10 mg tablet at bedtime. Sometimes when I am in a a lot of pain during the day I'll take a quarter. It helps without making me too tired. Hope this helps some.
Avatar f tn I stopped suddenly 2 months ago after reading the drug interactions of flexeril with norco and wellbutrin. They all effect the CNS in similar ways. I also experienced bad withdrawal symptoms but in the end it was worth getting off flexeril because of the side of effect of muscle weakness/stiffness. Here's my two cents - 1. If you are taking other drugs, they can interact or AMPLIFY side effects so go online and do your own search to see what each of the drugs you are taking does.
Avatar f tn I have been on duragesic pain patches 25 mcg for almost two years. I switched back to my regular doctor since they were gone for over 18 months. I have been taking Norco 10s 8 per day, and ativan and lithium and flexeril and trazodone. My new doctor doesn't think I should be on the patch since I am only 39. However, I was in a tragic automobile accident three years ago and almost died. I suffered fractures of T3 4 5, Fratuctres C 7, could have been paralyzed, but lucky.
694947 tn?1227987427 stay relaxed read the thomas recipe and give urself a break...plead the flu and get it done..do not be afraid of the flu as it happens to everyone and that is exactly what wds feel like for most people..in fact i have had worse cases of flus by far than the wds i experienced..
Avatar n tn I have fatigue, probably secondary to the insomnia. I require Norco 10/325 QID and even that is not sufficient for full relief. EMG/NCS negative. MRI brain, back, knee/patellofemoral region or pain negative, X-RAY or legs negative, venous/arterial ultrasound with ABI are both negative. Major lab testing all inflammatory markers all negative but I’m suffering very bad and this has taken over my life causing bad major depression.
Avatar m tn I have hashimotos By the way. I am asking because i am hanving jaw tension and pain now and want to take the flexeril but i am afraid it might trigger my hyop tyroidism.
1460652 tn?1340248730 then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. AGAIN and he said to go see a cardioloist AGAIN.
Avatar m tn My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.
747443 tn?1233024111 Turned out that on top of RA and bursitis, I had osteoporosis in them. I got relief from darvocet, flexeril, RA meds and osteoporosis meds. It took time but things got better once I was on the combonation.
Avatar f tn I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Please give me any ideas or info you might have regarding if the flexeril would be contraindicated due to the GERD situation? Thanks, God bless!
363110 tn?1340920419 I figured it was time to post an update. Today is day 13 off soma and to be completely honest I feel alot better. I had a week of W/D where I had some muscle aches and I could not sleep much at all and had to take ambien and when I did sleep I'd dream that I was taking soma (wierd hu?) but this last week has been ALOT better. I'm back to a regular pattern with my sleep and my husband and I have been reconnecting. This last week Ive also taken to talk to family and a couple friends.
Avatar f tn Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
232328 tn?1207090071 I used flexeril for back pain, and to be honest it did nothing...The doctor told me it was going to make me sleepy and it did not...It is a muscle relaxent... I ws on the 10mg dose.... So then he switched me to zanaflex, and i can only take it at nite because it makes me knock out....I don't take it all the time, only when my back is hurting as i think that one can be addicting i am sure others will give you their experience on it!
Avatar f tn My back is really bothering me!! Hurts so bad and can't relax for anything!! I'm 35 weeks and really want to! Has anyone taken a muscle relaxer or even a half of one?
Avatar f tn m going again tomorrow to perhaps get off of flexeril and maybe get a monitor to take home. Has anyone had this happen to them when on Flexeril? I noticed that the skipped beats got worse with the supplements i'm on too but don't know if these should cause such an event.
Avatar f tn I've had bad lower back, tailbone, and pelvic pain. My doctor prescribed flexiril and pain meds. I take them as needed, I usually take half of a muscle relaxer though cause they make me so sleepy!
