about 6 months ago i started to experience pain in my right hand around the middle knuckle- but more the area between the pointer and middle finger from the base of the finger to the middle of the top of my hand. its often swollen and i noticed a bruise on the top of my hand in that area today. i had an xray when the pain started and they saw nothing.

The last month my finger pain has really gotten bad and has now started in on my right hand too - and that started with a bout of SHARP pain in the pinky finger joint but is now in the middle, ring, pinky on that hand too - still worse on the left. what gives?

i am a 32 year old female, relatively healthy, currently taking neurontin and feldine for pain and symptoms from an undiagnosed illness i have had for 2 years (neurological symptoms, weakness, fatigue). i have bilateral joint pain (mostly in my hands and elbows, also wrists and ankles). i do have joint hypermobility syndrome which is a connective tissue disease that makes the joints very flexible. i know joint pain is a common problem with my JHS but it seems so symmetical.

m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think). I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen. any amount of swelling in a small joint such as a finger joint can cause quite a bit of discomfort. It sounds like you "jammed" the joint(s). It can take a long time to resolve. Like 6-9 months. You could try soaking it in hot water to loosen things up and try to pull and put tension on the finger to loosen up the joint. Pull the finger slowly, steadily, and gently straight out. I have found this can help loosen it up and relieve some pressure in the joint.

You could have injured interphalangeal joint of your finger. The multiple joint involvement could also be due to infection or due to reactive arthritis. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

hes been on bed for more than 3 yrs..initialy the little finger of his left foot lost control then the joint at knees then he lost control over his thighs..slowly the other leg stopd working..we jst dont understand why is this hapng..som say its due to weekns..some say skul is shrinking and his arms wil also loose the control gradually..
