Avatar f tn Thank you for some reason someone said I could and I was like I dont think u can.
Avatar f tn to pray for her because shes pregnant and obviously this could be extremely harmful to the fetal development. So I suggested that instead of depending on Facebook prayers she should go to the ER or call her ob/gyn since she's on medi-cal...yet she refuses to go because she's "helpless". The only one that is helpless in this case is her unborn child.
Avatar f tn I have to go see a fetal development specialist on July 8th just to be safe. Has anyone else been through this so I don't feel alone? Prayers ladies, prayers would be appreciated because right now I'm so scared about this for my daughter. Her name is Lorena Nancy.
Avatar f tn is important to fetal lung development. The fetus gets all of its oxygen and nutrients through the placenta and umbilical cord---a process called fetal circulation. Read more: http://www.livestrong.
Avatar f tn There are many cases when a baby has a hole or two early on and as the baby grows and the heart continues to grow the holes close or get smaller on their own. After birth baby's can be given medications to help close the holes and manage things like hypertension that's related to holes in the heart. Some require surgery. my son TJ had 3 holes in his heart.
Avatar m tn Causes Many different things can lead to intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). An unborn baby may not get enough nutrition because of: Heart disease in the mother High altitudes Multiple pregnancies (twins, triplets, etc.) Placenta problems Preeclampsia or eclampsia Congenital or chromosomal abnormalities are often associated with below-normal weight.
Avatar n tn I had several drinks in the beggining of a few of my pregnancies, since i got pregnant on BC and was not expecting a baby. as soon as i knew I stopped and the octor said everything would be fine, as long as i stopped, so the baby did'nt get addicted or suffer side effects. i had a perfectly healthy baby both times. So don't stress your self out stress is probably worse for the baby than the alcohol before you knew you were pregnant, just don't do it know.
Avatar n tn But as my doc said my job wouldn care if anything happened me or my baby nor would they help if my baby arrived early due to stress. guess u gotta put things into perspective sometimes.
Avatar n tn So I was sent to another dr for a level 2 ultra sound bc my baby coul dhave trisomy18. this ultra spund showed 2 holes in the babys heart. one the dr said was 3-4 times larger than normal. So i had an amnio done that day. From the amnio test showed no trisomy18. I was so happy to hear this, but the hole in my babys heart is scaring me bc the dr said it was 3-4 times larger. I went back for another ultra sound at 29 weeks. Th hole measured the same was not smaller or bigger.
Avatar n tn If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
Avatar f tn I don't know why I'm so scared. All doctor appointments have been great. Baby is growing, and looks great. Doctor even told me that my chances of one or highly unlikely. I guess I've wanted to be a mom so bad for so long I'm afarid to have my little one taken away. Any ideas on how to reduce my fear?
Avatar f tn The baby only measured 1cm which from my research isnt as big as most are this far long however Im not panicking about that as Ive been told all fetal development is different. Ive also taken some comfort in how nauseated ive been which to me is a good sign, but not so fun! So as of now I am relaxed and excited!!
Avatar f tn Even after birth there is an excellent chance that VSDs of this type can get smaller spontaneously, or even close completely. Your doctor may ask for another fetal echo when the baby is further along in the pregnancy, but if not, then an echocardiogram should be done within the first few weeks after birth to see if the VSD is still present and what size it is at the time. Depending upon that evaluation, your doctor can decide what type of follow up (if any) is required.
Avatar m tn There is no safe amount of alcohol you can drink. Fetal brain development damage can occur with just one drink.
