The brain contains pockets or spaces called ventricles with a spongy layer of cells and blood vessels called the choroid plexus. This is in the middle of the fetal brain. The choroid plexus has the important function of producing a fluid called cerebrospinal fluid. The fluid produced by the cells of the choroid plexus fills the ventricles and then flows around the brain and the spinal cord to provide a cushion of fluid around these structures.

The pulmonary artery and the aorta are the two “great” arteries that lead out from the right and left sides of the heart, respectively. At minimum, the pulmonary artery is typically larger than the aorta in the normal fetus. Without knowing about how much of a size discrepancy there is as well as not knowing their absolute measurements in relation to the fetus’ age, I cannot tell you whether this is a normal finding in this case, or not.

I personally think it's selfish and foolish to drink during pregnancy. Your putting your baby's health at risk and fetal development during the first trimester is crucial. Any alcohol use during pregnancy can result in a child being born with FASD. To me it's not worth the risks.

I'm 9 w 5 d. I'm constantly under stress. I work two jobs the father is out of the picture and I have little to no financial help. I may even lose my medical card because of working two jobs. But heres my question. How much damage or what kind of damage can stress and depression do to my unborn child? I really have no way to manage my stress nor can i only live on one job. Suboxin is a class C medication which means the effects on baby are not known and it can be taken when the benefits outweigh the risks. There is no evidence it will harm her baby but that doesn't mean there won't be any effect. Baby would be at risk for withdrawal after birth.
Make she that your sister works closely with her dr on this. Her dr MUST know she is taking the medication during pregnancy to monitor her and baby appropriately.
If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!

Everyone is different. I had a 5 day fresh transfer of just 1. I was convinced it didn't work based on cramps and feeling like AF was coming, but instead I got my BFP and my daughter is just about 12 weeks old now.

Fetal echocardiography can sometimes reveal holes between the lower heart chambers called ventricular septal defects (VSDs). The size of the hole at 20 weeks gestation is not going to be the size of the hole at birth. It can go either way: it can get smaller or close before birth, it can stay the same, (in which case a 1.7 mm defect would be considered a small hole), or it can get a bit larger.
