Avatar f tn So i know its really CONTROVERSIAL but i just wanted to know your thoughts on it mommas. So yesterday i was at a wedding and had a glass of red wine im 10 weeks 1 day today. I just wanted to know if any of you had an occasional drink during your pregnancies and how it turned out. This is my second baby and with my first it never even crossed my mind to indulge in a drink so i kinda feel bad. But if i can have an occasional glass of red wine and it not be detrimental then id like to.
Avatar n tn [4] Generally the risks are low if there are no other risk factors. Some studies have estimated up to a 1% (1/100) chance of delivering a baby with a chromosome problem when there is a CPC present.
Avatar f tn is important to fetal lung development. The fetus gets all of its oxygen and nutrients through the placenta and umbilical cord---a process called fetal circulation. Read more: http://www.livestrong.
Avatar f tn There are many cases when a baby has a hole or two early on and as the baby grows and the heart continues to grow the holes close or get smaller on their own. After birth baby's can be given medications to help close the holes and manage things like hypertension that's related to holes in the heart. Some require surgery. my son TJ had 3 holes in his heart.
Avatar f tn I am currently 35 weeks and 5 days. I see a fetal specialist every week because my baby hasn't been growing during my pregnancy. I do everything the doctors tell me and she just doesn't gain much weight. She is measuring in the 3rd percentile and just now weighs about 3 pounds and they are planning on inducing me in 17 days god welling maybe before that. If the doctors are concerned they will monitor the baby and your pregnancy very closely. I wish you and your baby the best of luck!
1431138 tn?1294566894 I was just wondering cause a friend of mine is 12 weeks and said they told her there were girl parts today at her ultrasound. I think that's way too early to tell so I was just wondering.
Avatar f tn t know if you had a 5 day transfer or a 3 day, but here is a breakdown of both to give you an idea what is going on, Sending you positive thoughts and baby dust :) When is your pregnancy test??
1682653 tn?1355846015 I tested 5 days post transfer with a hpt and got a negative. But both of my betas were positive, so it must have been too early. Now I am 14 weeks pregnant! :) During this time, my friend sent me the following information, which was SUPER helpful! Hopefully it will help you too. Best of luck and lots of baby dust!! What Happens After an Embryo Transfer? Once you complete your embryo transfer, you will have approximately 1½ weeks to wait before a pregnancy can be detected.
Avatar n tn If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
Avatar f tn Hi! Yes, that is too early to see a fetal pole or cardiac activity. In ten days, you should see a nice change with development of a little "grain of rice" with a tiny flickering heart beat. I wish you the best!
Avatar f tn Sounds like the growth of baby is progressing normally, the only thing I hadnt heard of either was the "tail". Below is a complicated quote that mentions the growth and then regression of the "tail" during early fetal development. Do you have a follow-up US to monitor things? Your HCG levels and observation of HB are very encouraging. "the rostral neuropore closes and develops into the forebrain prominence and then the head.
Avatar m tn When I had my 5-day FET, I was wondering how early was too early to test also. I tested 5 days post transfer with a hpt and got a negative.
Avatar m tn There is no safe amount of alcohol you can drink. Fetal brain development damage can occur with just one drink.
3588173 tn?1357317184 Lol yes its a good sign my son had them a lot lol its the baby practicing breathing nothing to worry over
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear this. I had never heard of this and did some research. This is what I found. Hope it helps and prayers for you && the little one :) CPCs can form within this structure and come from fluid trapped within this spongy layer of cells, much like a soap bubble or a blister. CPCs are often called "soft signs" or fetal ultrasound "markers" because some studies have found a weak association between CPCs and fetal chromosome abnormalities.
Avatar f tn Does anyone get fetal hiccups a lot? It seems like my baby gets them a lot. It worries me because I can't remember my other two babies having them as much.
Avatar f tn Hello, Doxycycline, like other tetracycline-class antibiotics, can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. The use of drugs of the tetracycline-class during tooth development (last half of pregnancy, infancy, and childhood up to the age of 8 years) may cause permanent discoloration of the teeth (yellow-gray-brown).
Avatar n tn When I had my 5-day transfer, I was wondering about this too. I tested 5 days post transfer with a hpt and got a negative. But both of my betas (blood tests) were positive, so it must have been too early. Now I am 14 weeks pregnant! :) So it depends on how early you do a urine test. Maybe the following information will be helpful to you. Oh - also you can't tell by HCG levels alone whether or not you are carrying twins.
Avatar f tn m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Avatar f tn I went for a fetal echocardiogram at 20 weeks (now I'm at 24 weeks) to check the development of the babys heart as my mom has a heart condition called Hypotrophic Cardio Myopathy. Since its a genetic condition, we were advised to make this appointment. I wonder if its recommended for others even without family history of a specific condition. I personally would want to check the development of my baby's heart regardless.
