When I went and got a massage last week my massage therapist said her midwife told her the same thing, one glass a day was okay. I'm still unsure myself. I had a friend who lived overseas and she said the women/people in Europe are more excepting of it. So, talk to your doctor but a few glasses in the third trimester will not have the baby being born with fetal alcohol syndrome.
If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
No its not especially in the first trimester. Rapid development of babies major organs, brain and spinal cord happen in the first trimester. I hear some women have a small glass while pregnant personally I wouldnt but if you were to you should wait at least until the middle of the second trimester. Ask your doctor. It is currently not recommended that any alcohol be taken in while pregnant since FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) is not completely understood on when and how it all happens.

They explained the types of lobules and their development. That throughout the first trimester, the number of Type 1 and Type 2 lobules rapidly increase, resulting in the breast having more sites for cancer to start. In the second trimester, the lobules start maturing into Type 4 lobules, which are cancer resistant.
Development, Gestation, Conception. They give different dates for when the second trimester begins and for when the third trimester begins. Your health care provider might prefer to use the Development method, while another Midwife or Doctor may use the Gestation method.
I am sure they do that just to confuse pregnant women.

I'm planning on getting some done around 34/35 weeks.
Im going in for an ultrasound at 34w. But only because i am high risk and to check the size of the baby.
Well I asked my Dr and he said I beer or glass of wine a week in the first is fine and second trimester 2 a week and third you can have one glass of wine with dinner whenever... I went by those rules last pregnancy and my son is just fine but I know people freak out about all kinds of things so idk... It's up to you..

by the way, they can easily fix the valve problem by putting one in, and placing a patch over the hole in the heart. Sometimes in these situations babies are born with a PDA which normally closes at full term, it's a vessel that goes between the heart and lungs and in babies with heart issues, sometimes it's benefitial to keep it open a little longer and it can be done with a stent type device I think.
