In a nutshell, it just proves that you can not treat body parts in isolation ! I am a diabetic on insulin. Recently , I was prescribed a fenofibrate (Trilipix 135 mg) along with Crestor. My cardio wanted this for helping in getting my triglycerides down. I have not had a lipid profile done since starting on this med two months ago.
Avatar m tn I have noticed since I began taking fenofibrate that I experience cloudy urine after I eat certain foods. It only happens the first time I uninate after eating these foods and becomes clear thereafter. It seems that it is triggered with creamy and greasy foods. Is there cause for concern? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Fenofibrate in combination with a Statin drug can cause severe Rhabdomyolysis. I know because I have gone through it. My muscle pain got so severe that I couldn't even move my arms and I wound up in the ER with kidney (also a muscle) pain so severe, I was climbing the walls.

There is an extremely and I mean EXTREMELY small chance that Tricor can cause Diabetes, but it is extremely rare. How high was you fasting blood sugar level? What does your doctor say? Avatar f tn It can also be due to fibromyalgia, electrolyte imbalance, hormonal imbalance, Vit D or Vit B12 deficiency or peripheral neuropathy of diabetes and hypothyroidism. A pinched nerve can also be the cause. Lyme’s disease is another possibility. You need investigations to rule out the above mentioned possibilities. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.

Avatar n tn doctor has adviced me to take rosuvastatin and fenofibrate tablets.can you please tell me whether it helps to reduce weight?
Avatar n tn Your numbers are high, but you need to look at the breakdown. First off, your TGL's should be under 150. Not hard, just cut out the empty carbs like breads, sugars, pastas etc. Also, drinking will elevate your TGL's so don't over do it. You could start on a Fenofibrate like Tricor to lower your TGL's it works well. A statin will not really do that much.
Avatar m tn Ouch, that is rather high! Do you eat lots of foods (starch types, potatoes, rice) that your body turns to sugar? What has your physician recommended? I work with a gentleman who had high triglycerides, however he was overweight (just had the gastric bypass, down 100 lbs) diabetes, but that's lessening with the weight loss, but he also did not exercise, and also had high BP. All of which you don't have.

15860670 tn?1443541254 I'm not being a smartazz in saying this, but the safest way to come off of each of these medications is thru the advice of your physician. Cessation of either one of these medications could have a rebound effect. Again, you physician would be best to consult with Metoprolol Tartrate Tablet 100 mg. take 1 tablet 2 x daily made me feel like a zombie. It was terrible! I reduced to 100mg and was much better! May I ask why you want to go off either one of these drugs?
Avatar f tn Meds I am currently on are levothyroxine and fenofibrate. I was on buspirone but just quit that a few days ago. I did have this happen one other time a few weeks ago, but the second time after that everything was normal, so I wasn't worried. I believe at that time I was off the meds or just starting them.
