Avatar f tn My total cholesterol was 236, ldl is 174 , HDL is 46 and triglycerides is 179 before Rosvin f.After one month course of Rosvin F and life style change my total cholesterol is 119 mg/dl (Reference <200), LDL is 62 mg/dl (Reference , <100) HDL is 43 mg/dl Reference 40-60) and triglyceride is 71 mg/dl Reference <150). New reading lies to low normal reference range. Dr. recommended to continue Rosvin F for one month. I little bit worried about dose. Let me know should I continue Rosvin F.

315318 tn?1353251800 Recently , I was prescribed a fenofibrate (Trilipix 135 mg) along with Crestor. My cardio wanted this for helping in getting my triglycerides down. I have not had a lipid profile done since starting on this med two months ago. However, since being a diabetic , I check my blood glucose (BG) many times during the day and what I am noticing is a clear trend in the BG numbers going lower at least over the last month or so.
159619 tn?1707018272 Well, I get to talk to you all about your numbers, the least I can do is give you my latest numbers. I got my report today from my annual check up and have compared them to 2005 and they are as follows; TC 158.................. 2005) 242 HDL 40................. .2005) 40 LDL 78 .................. 2005) 142 TGL 195 ................ 2005) 300 GLUCOSE 87 ....... 2005) 106 So what did I do? I started out by losing over 80 pounds, it has made a huge difference.
Avatar m tn Today we did the blood test for my husband and his TG is 519 mg/dl. Total Cholestrol is 208 mg/dl, LDL is 142 mg/dL and HDL is 34.42 mg/dl.His S. amylase is slightly elevated 112 U/l. Now a new develpoment happened is slightly elevated TSH of 4.59, which was normal till 1 year back. So please advice what this indicates? is he developing hypothyroidism? how can he regulate his TG and TSH?
378273 tn?1262097621 I have a history of good (low) BP, and since the onset of AFib and the ingestion of beta blockers (up to 200 mg of Metoprolol a day) my BP tends to be on the low side. When I first went to 200 mg of the BB my BP went too low, i.e., some dizziness. I may have missed your points, but can say my experience is, AFib doesn't cause high BP.
612551 tn?1450022175 That is why I concluded the possibility that my body may have developed a dependency on BB to maintain normal BP. That is in part the good news, 200 mg caused me too low BP and some dizziness..but then I adjusted it seems. Maybe then there is not surprise that I'd get high BP when lowering the dose, and perhaps the BP will come down given my previous many years of normal BP. Of course, I continue to age and high BP may just be the next stage in my aging.
Avatar m tn Is it normal to still feel fatigue after taking the bp meds for a few months? I thought the fatigue was supposed to go away after the body gets used to the bp meds???
Avatar m tn I have noticed since I began taking fenofibrate that I experience cloudy urine after I eat certain foods. It only happens the first time I uninate after eating these foods and becomes clear thereafter. It seems that it is triggered with creamy and greasy foods. Is there cause for concern? Thank you.
941118 tn?1312281926 I am very surprised such a low dose of Toprol causes any side effect... I take 100 mg a day and have taken 100 mg twice a day. At the 200 mg I have some low BP problems, but they seem to go away after a few days at that level. I take it control my high HR driven by AFib, I wish I could get that down to something like the 60s, I'm usually in the 80s HR. I think 40 is too low, but for some people it, just like low BP, is well tolerated. Good advice to discuss with your doctor, cardiologist.
Avatar f tn I felt perfect for 3-4 weeks or so without it, then my BP went up over 200, so I was running back to my doctor. Think about that if he also has High BP. Good luck to him!
Avatar n tn I have never had high BP problems, but have had unwanted very low BP with I was on the 200 mg a day BB, that is when CB was added and BB reduced, abruptly. I think my cardiologist sees no problem with sudden changes in does level. At the 25 mg level I think I could just stop taking cold turkey.. but that's me, not advice for you, people have different reactions. Good fortune on your marathon - half is still way farther than any run/jog I have ever accomplished.
Avatar f tn I started Lamictal three weeks ago and am at 200mg. Started Latuda about four days ago at 80 mg. Serequel 100mg to sleep. Doc says I might have BP. Not sure if it's BP or deep depression. How long does it take for these meds to work? I'm on and off and teary and a bit sick. I'm not hopeless anymore, but still very scared. Does anyone have advice?

Avatar n tn I had my first episode of afib last week, prior to that I have been having issues with them regulating my blood pressure medicine. Currently I am on amiodarone 200 mg once a day and norvasc 2.5 mg and 12.5 mg of hctz and one xarelto a day. The problem I am having is when I walk across the room from the chair to the bathroom my BP jumps up to 170/90 and makes the back of my head feel full and I get a little dizzy. Do I need to switch BP meds ?
Avatar m tn ) with BP (144/71) (not sure if it started while walking). She had no chest pain, only palpitations and general weakness. She took 1 mg digoxin PO and eventually the episode resolved. Had two more similar episodes in the past year: tachy with normal BP brought on by exertion. EKG was normal the next day. She's a dear family member who doesn't live in the states and her doctor didn't believe her when she described the episode.
