fear

Avatar n tn I started taking concerta 8 months ago and it has made ia great change in the fear I USED to have speaking in front of people . I till stutter but not near as often when speaking in front of adults .
Avatar m tn From time to time, when im speaking, my ears would suddenly be like a loud speaker and everything i say will be projected about 10x louder than what it actually sounds like. Sometimes its so loud i cant hear myself but i know what i'm saying and so do others. Ive asked my friends and they say i jus sound normal. It's all in my head. This is also only in my right ear. When this happens i hear things just fine, theres no buzzing or ringing. It's only when i speak.
Avatar n tn I have just read about lisalopez speaking inner thoughts out loud whilst being entirely unaware of doing so. I have also been doing this for a few years. It gave me a very hard time when I realised it was happening and I saw a psychiatrist as I was convinced I was being 'drugged' or something similar, and that my speaking with no knowledge was a side effect. He tried to get me to prove it wrong. I tried to prove it fight actually, as I know it happens and was happening.
Avatar n tn Well, anyways, my problem now is my acquired fear of loud noises and places. Im 21 and in college, so i basically dont go to parties (loud music) and DEF have not been to a single concert yet and will never again in my life, i dont play my radio loud, and dont attend football games (ppl screaming and band and all that). I really feel like ****. I want to go out and have fun and be be normal and all that but i want to have my hearing in good condition and not stress the tinnitus situation.
Avatar n tn I have a four year old daughter who is extremely afraid of any kind of insect, whether it's big or small. If a bug is near her, she screams and panics. She is also afraid of loud noise, for ex.I can't vacuum, blow dry my hair, make eggs, anything that makes any type of loud noise or even when we grill, she is hiding. When in the pool, she is afraid of leaves that fall in the pool and bugs that are in the water.
5967922 tn?1377546960 s always been afraid of loud shouting but now his fear has extended in the past couple weeks. He is afraid of any loud nose - shouting, gunshots, any sudden noise that is out of the blue, etc. When any of these things frighten him, he shakes uncontrollable and can't be comforted. He wants to try and get away from the noise by going outside, but then is fearful outside and wants to come right back in. I recently got him a thundershirt, but he still shivers in it.
Avatar f tn Then he put on a condom, before he could get the head of his penis good inside of me i asked him to stop. The next day i asked my did he have anything and he got very offended. Nothing came back, now i have lower abdominal pains and jus now ive been having what i think are night seats.
Avatar f tn many people have a fear of public speaking. And remember anxiety and panic can come at the most inoppertune times even if we have previously been through the exact same experience panic free time after time. I also agree that you should not expect perfection and not be too hard on yourself. Just the fact that you get up there is something that you should give yourself credit for; that is no easy feat to accomplish in my opinion. Do you have other social situations that you get anxious in?
Avatar n tn lol You can always have a friend over for dinner sometime and try and practice speaking quietly with them, that way they can help you determine what is maybe too loud? or even better have a group of your friends over to practice with and you can cook them dinner in exchange for them helping you.
Avatar f tn I am quite paranoid and generally look into the small details out of fear; when he was doing the needle and speaking out loud to his technician, he kept saying numbers like 2ms etc and at one point he said 6 in my hand and I asked him does that mean anything etc and he said it has zero meaning and is irrelevant/to do with how he’s holding the needle and this and that and that higher or lower have no significant meaning especially in my case where the actual measurement on the screen is accura
Avatar n tn t mean you have tourrettes for sure. If excessive have it checked out. Lots of people think out loud .
1415482 tn?1459702714 My grandmother got married when she was 18 years old, she was young and had a baby and so she figured it was the right thing to do. However, things didn't work out and she and my grandfather got divorced. Soon after, she got involved with another man. In my early years, I really remember him being kind and humble, I call the man 'daddy' for crying out loud as my father moved abroad before I was born. For six years, this man was all I knew in my daily life.
Avatar f tn //i.fluther.com/164249/speaking-your-thoughts-out-loud-without-realizing-it-what-is-this/ One theory I have is that it started after a bad acid trip where I just never really went back to normal. The one thing the doctors DO tell me is to stay the **** away from drugs, which I now adhere to. I just want to know what's actually wrong with me, and if I'll ever go back to normal. So that brings me here.
Avatar f tn t know how much that is a factor - especially since all of my in-laws are unnecessarily loud at all times, and they do not have ADHD. My kids and I all repeat answers back to ourselves. It's usually to be sure that we have clearly understood the answer when our minds are busy thinking about something else. Maybe he is learning about words/language by listening and repeating words.
Avatar f tn When these things are done to him he goes into a panic and starts to scream in fear. When he was about 3 his fear started to spread to noises, he now has a fear of loud noises. He is afraid to go into public bathrooms because of the blow dryers, he will cover his is ears scream is a smoke detector goes off and these are just two. I am going to take him to the doctor but I would like to have an idea of what may be going on if any so I can advocate for my son if a second opinion is needed.
Avatar f tn The noises of your heartbeat, blood, and digestion, plus the echo of you speaking makes the womb super noisy. One study I read actually said that it's as loud as a vacuum cleaner constantly running, so the baby really can't hear much outside of you. The reason they can recognize mama's voice is because it echoes inside of you. Everything else is just background noise. Even if you played music super loud, your baby won't be able to really hear it well.
Avatar m tn Trump destroys what the "the establishment" Republican Party is all about, so I'm ALL FOR HIM. This country has been trying the same thing, over & over & over, for the last 60-years... and look where it's gotten us, and WHO it's gotten us. Of course, none of you really like him, and that's okay. That's what makes this country mediocre...
Avatar m tn Music comes through speakers which work by moving the air in front of them. The sound waves travel towards your body and if loud enough will bounce off all kinds of objects in the room. It is just moving air and will not pass through your body. I know the feeling you are speaking about when you feel your chest thumping, I was next to some large speakers a couple of weeks ago, and when they turned the volume up, I could feel the air pounding against my chest.
Avatar m tn HIV is neither "dead" nor "alive". It is either active (when it is INSIDE the body), or INACTIVE (when it is outside of the body, exposed to the elements). Sexually speaking, only unprotected anal or vaginal sex is a risk for HIV. Exposure to genital secretions in any situation NOT during the above mentioned insertive sex without a condom is NOT a risk for HIV. That includes oral sex, mutual mastrubation, frottage (rubbing), etc. You have nothing to worry about.
696149 tn?1314320959 Well, I spoke of it a few days ago......that is getting off the Vicodin and I just took the last 4 I had. I am terrified of what I'm probably going to face. Usually when you fear something, the bark is worse than it's bite, but in this case, the bark is just as bad as the bite, if not worse. Still, all I have to do is get through 1 week.
1183666 tn?1274275146 So, JESSiCA, we meet again! I'm glad to hear you're involved with a partner and a project, but I do understand your fear of public speaking. I'm positive the vast majority of us would rather streak through Wal Mart than get up in front of a group of people. (Would anybody notice us in Wal Mart? Somehow I think we'd just "blend!") I suppose there are a number of things you could try before it was your turn to be on stage.
668202 tn?1225471001 Hi my name is Mallory and I am 21. I am having severe problems with the fear of death/dying, I think about it all day everyday and it prevents me from living my life. I have also woke up 6 times in the past 2 weeks screaming a loud siren like noise because of death dreams. My fiance has to cover my mouth and wake me up and when I wake up from the dream i am so scared my skin feels like it is crawling.

Avatar n tn if there are people speaking they will suddenly be speaking very fast, if I try to speak it will seem like I will be speaking fast, if I try to walk it will seem like I am running. Things become loud, I can hear a pin drop, it seems like anyway... I have shortness of breath. Is this normal or am I the only person that has this issue with time? It is just so scary. I take Trileptal and the episodes have gotten a lot better.
