I myself have a fear of needles, this is my second pregnancy.
, cups, paper, sticks, trash, etc, but I have fear of it being a needle. The funny thing is, most of the time, I never review the photos; I guess just knowing I have them brings me relief. Before, I was even using a picker to pick things up off the ground, which I would store in the trunk of my car; however, I've pretty much gotten past that. It has come to the point that my condition is impacting my relationship.
I have a fear for needles and was informed I would have to get more needles poked into me after 30 weeks. I'm 21 weeks now, but I'll have to face my fear apparently. The thing is I tend to faint and cry when someone puts needles near me. I have tried talking to my sister who is helping me, but she told me to stop being a baby and suck it up.... I can't help it, needles are scary.
Then we tried fertility treatments, and that involves lots of blood draws and injections, and of course insemination, which began a fear of HIV and pregnancy by someone other than my husband. I like to blame it on the Lyme doing something to my brain. I had always had somewhat of an issue with anxiety, but nothing like what the OCD was. I finally sought cognitive behavioral therapy and reluctantly started medication. I have seen big improvements since when I first had OCD.
The last time because of fear, so went to the Jiangsu province ( CDC detection from high risk for four months ), I thought I could have been completely off the fear, and fear, and in the CDC test hemospasia needle ( should be a vacuum blood collection needle ), because I a is AIDS patients.

Although I am not the one giving the shots, I still feel fear everyday that I will come across a needle and accidently get poked by it and get an infectious disease of some sort. I have tried talking to my family and friends about this phobia amongst other mental health issues but they don't seem to understand. Ever since a dentist appt like 5+ years ago I shake uncontrollably when getting ivs and such as a coping thing or something. I've had my blood drawn 7 times and 2 shots in this pregnancy, my fear of needles is basically gone now. The best way I handle it is not looking and wiggling my fingers on the opposite hand and concentrate on that, make sure to breathe. Just think it will be over before you know it.

You said you are intelligent. I do believe you. You have only one question to answer, as Jesus asked I will ask also. Why? The answer for that only you have. Go back in time in your head and remember. You might have bad experiences, clear those for yourself, and then heal yourself. For you to do that is important maybe more important than your cholesterol standing right now.Until you make it to the doctor eat cholesterol friendly as you can.

Hi, this morning I went to the hospital for the rabies vaccine, I was sitting on the chair waiting for the nurse to give me 2 dose shot, then I noticed there was a container on the floor with used needles in it, and at the last dose, I saw the nurse accidentally slightly contact the container with some sound, and I can't stop thinking what if the needles come out of the container and get in touch with me, if there a risk?
s forum, you have to pay for that one, nonetheless you have NO RISK OF HIV, HIV is an extremely fragile virus which spreads through bodily fluids in acts of unprotected sex (vaginal/anal), or the sharing of needles, you need to see your Doctor about those symptoms as they are not indicative of HIV but I think it's stress and anxiety, try not to worry!
Well hun if you are pregnant you have to get over that fear because the needles are coming lol. It will be best for you to have the blood work done because false negatives are more common than false positives. The other possibility for these type of results would be a chemical pregnancy so go get check, best of luck.
i have to tell you, i am so scared i have never experienced the feelings of anxiety and fear and depression and loss of control over my own thoughts like i have been this last month. it has become a sickness and i have made myself physically ill. i am so stressed. reading your replies is the only thing that gives me comfort and hope so thankyou. i am seeing a therapist once a week, it seems to help so far.
t even get an epidural when I had my 2 older kids because of my fear of needles...but now I try not to watch them getting everything ready to draw blood. I pick a spot on the wall and stare at it until they are done. I also just talk to the lab tech about random things to take my mind off of it...its helped me a lot this pregnancy (I haven't cried yet!
I am deathly and I mean deathly afraid of all and everything medical including drs and of course needles. I am in a panic even thinking that I too should be tested and the thought of having to endure treatment is terrifying to me. I know the chances are slim and I hope for the best but after being married 8 years and together 8 more before I am sure at some point in time we might of grabbed the wrong toothbrush and I know we have shared a nail clipper, etc.
