Avatar n tn Cold chills can come from having the flu, or perhaps in your case with the fainting, could be something as simple as you not having enough protein to eat on a regular basis. Protein is like the wood in a fire, it burns and heats up a person. And if you ain't got no fire, you'll get cold. In addition, protein gives you energy, and if you don't have any, you can get pretty weak and light-headed. But there are many reasons why this happened to you, those are just my top two choices.

1512628 tn?1304974064 What in the world is the difference? Every time I end up in a different hospital they call my fainting something else. (Each time they get my records from each other). As of yet there remains to be no ryhme or reason why I went from the occasional fainting to a wheel chair so that I could leave my bed and crawling to the bathroom behind!!! Any thoughts???
917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.
621465 tn?1221537588 Is fainting or loss of consciousness something that can be caused by a migraine? I have been suffering from migraines for some time now. Some are bad. Some are awful. Some are 'please almighty power of the cosmos let me die now'. Several days ago I was trying to rest off a migraine headache. I had not taken any medicine for it since most pain killers upset my stomach, and it was already mighty upset. I guess I got up to go the bathroom and fainted on the way.
Avatar f tn this is my first baby and im terrible with the morning sickness..:(.. its awful having t go t school with it too..:'(..
Avatar f tn Since then I have seen a cardiologist who has diagnosed me with POTS because of my constant fainting and fast heart rate upon standing. All of my ECGs and echos are normal. I am wondering if perhaps my disaitonomic problems are caused by something more serious. I mentioned the bradycardia to my current Dr. But he did not seem worried so I dropped it but I don't want one of those serious fainting episodes to happen again and wake up with a pacemaker and lose my license.
Avatar f tn Recently my mum's been very sick, she can't seem to eat properly - and if she does, she throws up the food afterward. Also, she's had a very severe headache and has been sweating and feeling hot when it's really quite cold. She also feels very weak. This has been going on for about 3-4 days now and though we've seen doctors and they've prescribed some medicine it doesn't seem to help her condition as they can't pinpoint exactly where the problem is.
Avatar m tn ve been warned about the Appetite sepressant that it is. Although, the medicine was great in that area, i went from 283 lbs in May 08 to 209 lbs Nov. But yesterday, I fainted for the first time ever in my life. While i'm not at any of the risks that the drug warns about, The doctor told me that he wasn't too sure, could be my weight loss so fast, my medicine, withdrawls, or then he turned to earwax?????
Avatar f tn If my husband should keep hydrated to prevent fainting when its very hot outside, he'd really have a problem. He has a bladder problem which stems back to his prostate problem. He'd be in the bathroom constantly. As it is he is in here every hour and still has urine retention which greatly effects his comfort level. Urologist isn't doing much to help him. Do people with MS have to use catheters as a rule, or is this a unusual problem?
Avatar n tn If lightheadedness gets worse, it can lead to a feeling of almost fainting or a fainting spell (syncope). You may sometimes feel nauseated or vomit when you are lightheaded. -Vertigo is a feeling that you or your surroundings are moving when there is no actual movement. You may feel as though you are spinning, whirling, falling, or tilting. When you have severe vertigo, you may feel very nauseated or vomit. You may have trouble walking or standing, and you may lose your balance and fall.

Avatar m tn Now two of three days a week I have heart skips, dizziness, fatigue, severe breathlessness, nausea, half fainting, confusion, speech diffuvculty and general malaise as I did before taking amiodarone On other days I feel well. Avatar m tn Neurocardiogenic syncope is by far the most common cause of sudden fainting. It is very rarely life threatening although injuries can occur due to fall. It is not genetic. However it is important to identify the triggers. Avoidance of triggers are cornerstone of treatment. Wearing graded compression stockings and beta blockers have been found to be helpful. http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn Hi I have some questions about the Tilt Table test. Symptoms started getting worse a few months ago. Fatigue, dizziness/lightheaded when going from sitting to standing, occasional fainting, sometimes racing heart (while sitting) followed by extreme fatigue, swelling, can't tolerate warm weather (trouble breathing, elevated heart rate, dizziness). Did the whole range of blood tests and referrals after my PCM was stumped.
Avatar f tn t take medicine for, so this was not surprising). Today, we had our second practice. We did the same warm up drill, and following throwing, I again felt very light-headed and sick to my stomach. It was worse this time and my pulse was racing. I sat down in the field to try to recover. The next thing I knew, my team was around me panicking. I was on the ground. They say that my eyes were rolling back into my head. I assume that I passed out, because I don't remember lying down.

Avatar f tn Stephanie, I am 37 years old, to be 38 in January. I have been diagnosed with vasovagal syncope. I've had seizures since I was 2 1/2. It's been a LONG road to diagnosis and I still don't believe any of the doctors have it right. I'm currently on high blood pressure medicine, Paxil, and an anti-seizure medicine. And I still had a seizure yesterday.
