Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.

1306714 tn?1327257080 Just got back from the NS and had a good conversation with him withthe concern of something still being wrong. He reassured be it is probably due to how many surgeries I had in such a short time. I said my concern of rapid heart pulsation and very very frequent urination. He showed concerned of maybe tethered cord, so he did order a full spine MRI. I just didn't expect it to take 2 day's. They said I will be in the machine for at least 2 to 4 hrs at a time.
Avatar n tn studies where not a good scientific study,,,he says it was all post menopausal women and that made the study biased. A good study is double blind and a good cross section of women ,,some of differnent ages and ethnic backgrounds . I personally would advise anyone to do a lot of homework on this ...

Avatar n tn that have not worked. There are some drops under study that may help. One study showed that children that play outside daily reduce myopia progression but it is only one study and has not been duplicated. k Most myopis (me included) have normal eyes that just need glasses, contacts or lasik. Don't beat yourself up over this.
Avatar f tn 10 years ago I had a spontaneous csf leak out of my right ear, had surgery, they placed a "bone & glue" patch. Neurosurgeon said the patch should last about 10 years which June 2010 is the month. Two years ago I did a sleep study and it was determined that I have sleep apnea, so I started on a CPAP machine. I haven't ever been really comfortable using it, I always wondered if it was too much pressure.
Avatar n tn My son is 4year old and has undergone 2 surgery. First bending of PAH and 2 patch to close VSD. Now Doctor has doubt that his patch is open. Is there any treatment for this or repeat surgery is necessary.
Avatar f tn I had a hysterctomy almost 3 years ago at the age of 35 for a borderline serous tumor. My oncologist put me on an estrogen replacement patch and I have been using them ever since. With all the stuff in the news lately about HRT and their new findings, I would love to know your opinion. Are these studies only on women who have gone through natural menopause or do they also include women who were put into surgical menopause at a young age?
1312898 tn?1314568133 New studies indicate a significant increase in some diseases among women with red hair. One study found that multiple sclerosis may be more common in red-headed women, but similar association was not found for men with red hair. Woman with red hair are also more likely to have endometriosis compared to infertile women of other hair colors, have a higher incidence of melanoma and have more complications after surgery.
1703515 tn?1350500231 I heard that Klonopin may decrease the effectiveness of the birth control patch. Is this true? Has anyone ever taken the two together?

Avatar f tn I asked my doctor and she said shed prefer me use the patch, gum, e-cigarette or anything other than smoking. I bought e-cigs, the lowest dose Eldorado 2 cartridges then no nicotine for the rest. Has anyone else tried e cigs while pregnant and successfully quit?
Avatar f tn I had the surgery and have been on the estradial patch for at least 5 years. I am on .1 and .5 patch every 4 days. I am now 40 and just went to a new doc and she was shocked I was on such a high dose. The previous doc did blood work and it showed I needed that much estrogen. Here is the scary part. She asked why I wasn't on progesterone and I said I didn't need it because I don't have a uterus. That is what every doctor told me in the past.
Avatar n tn My daughter has scar tissue that is inhibiting the flow of CSF and is experiencing some of the same symptoms that she had before surgery. She had a synthetic patch that disintegrated after just 1 week so they immediately put in a bovine patch. I have read that both of these can cause scar tissue and the recommendation now is to use tissue from the patient's own body (autolgous pericranium) for the dural graft (patch). Has anyone had any experience with this?
