Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

Avatar m tn ve been on a series of prescription pain medications for over a decade and am fairly fluent in the basics of these treatments, including interactions and/or withdrawals and interactions with my accompanying benzodiazepines. I have to be, considering these are all respiratory depressants and I suffer from severe sleep apnea (I use a BiPap). I simply want to know a doctor/pharmacists opinion on the proper procedure when switching from this one medication to the other, and then switching back.
Avatar n tn interactions between prozac and fentanyl. My husbands meds were recently doubled. Prozac now 40mg and fentanyl 50mcg. and he is now talking in his sleep every night and constantly scratching at himself in his sleep.
1703515 tn?1350500231 I heard that Klonopin may decrease the effectiveness of the birth control patch. Is this true? Has anyone ever taken the two together?
Avatar f tn I wear a freestyle libre patch. What medications are interacts with tadalafil? Is Viagra will be safe for me?
Avatar m tn Has anyone tied the scopolamine patch to alleviate depression? I have been on so many different anti-depressants for over 15 years; nothing alleviates it. I heard that many people have had relief from the patch when no other drugs seem to work, but I am scared to try it after reading the posts above. Please let me know if you have tried this patch to alleviate depression and what your results were/are. Thank you.
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar f tn It was a large patch of swirling lines...kind of like if you put water and oil together and pressed between glass...with light shining from underneath and moving around...does that make sense? I could also see it with my eyes closed. Any ideas?
1364139 tn?1280791344 From what I understand, from extended research on the fentanyl patch when I was on it a few years ago, the patch can lessen the effects of pain medications, anesthesia, or other medications that you may be given before, during and after surgery, or even have some other interactions...Course I am not a medical professional, but that's what I have read.
Avatar f tn In 2007, I was hospitalized and dx with GBS. After years of pain meds, I found myself chewing my patch. I started Methadone treatment two years ago and currently & 120mg daily (liquid I divide am/pm @ 60mg). I’ve also been taking Wellbutrin 75mg bid. Interested in Concave for weight loss and help with energy, but noticed interactions. Belviq better?
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar f tn I am on Effexor and plan on quitting smoking again. I've quit numerous times - the most I've quit is for 2 year. I have used the patch with success - however the last 2 times, I've gotten to 12 weeks, stopped the patch and started smoking within 2 weeks. So, I want to try a new strategy. I am considering Chantix - but right now I am on Effexor and am concerned taking both meds will create a problem.
1322157 tn?1279656681 , of the School of Nursing at the University of Rochester Medical Center, an expert on drug interactions, explains that grapefruit juice is one of the foods most likely to cause problems with drugs, because it is metabolized by the same enzyme in the liver that breaks down many drugs. The cytochrome P-450 3A4 enzyme breaks down grapefruit juice into useful components for body, just like it breaks down dozens of medications.
Avatar m tn After suffering diarohea, excessive flatulence and wet bum for 3 years (I am a relatively young 36 year old) I saw my gp who referred me to a specialist. After endoscopy and swalowling some tracers they found I am not reabsorbing my bile and it is causing havoc in my lower intestines. The specialist mentioned/believes that the receptor cells in the intestines weren't being stimulated by the bile anymore. I have been prescibed colestid.

131829 tn?1249997363 Well this is really a medical question and due to the interactions with MAO inhibitors best addressed to a professional. I know that Topomax works on migraines but you could ask if they interact. I know that the MAOI inhibitor Ensam does not have interactions if you take the newly available patch form but I don't know if they've considered that. We have some webpages linked up for information. You could find out more there and then speak to your psychiatrist about it.
