Avatar n tn The Novartis patch, called Exelon, was previously approved for patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s and it remains the only federally approved patch for the disease.
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn Mother had been experiencing dreams, nightmares really centering on the things she fears the most - abandoment, loss of control of her money, being pushed down the stairs, etc. These dreams were very real to her and she would then argue with her husband about why he said he wanted to do these things to her. He, of course, knew nothing of these "conversations and situations" she thought were so real.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

Avatar m tn I have high blood pressure 160/100 with the clonidine patch it's 135/85 almost every day my hands feel shaky some days it's worse then others. Just wanted to know if HBP can cause core/hand shaking, been tested for everything else, brain MRI, endless blood work, suffer from a little anxiety too. Could it be anxiety mixed with high blood pressure??? Thanks.
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar n tn Is it possible that I have Parkinson's all these years? No never been tested..
Avatar f tn Ok this one goes out to anyone experiencing interchangeable symptoms of Chiari and Parkinson's. Please reply if you would, as I am hoping to find fellow members who are having this dilemma.
Avatar n tn Hello. Isolated masseter muscle tremors can be seen in Parkinson's disease, but are rare. In my view, she should be examined for Parkinson's disease and efforts should be made to investigate further. Please do not get disturbed by the mention of Parkinson's disease. The symptoms are only remotely suggestive of PD. Get an MRI of the brain done. It may help us detect any changes, may be unrelated to PD.
Avatar n tn Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. Avatar f tn Hi Cessy and welcome to our little MS community, Diagnosis Parkinson's in a someone in their 30's would generally be classed as early onset Parkinson's and because of the rarity of Parkinson's for that age group, misdiagnoses would definitely be a possibility. I've actually read statistics that put the misdiagnosis rate as high as 1 in 5 in general for Parkinson's.
Avatar m tn I went to see a N/S this past week and he said he thinks my problem may be that I have Parkinson's disease. He said my symptoms don't seem to be chiari related. He put me on medicine for Parkinson's. Has anyone else been told they had Parkinson's ? Now I have to go see a neurologist next month.Boy I tell it gets better all the time. I'm getting tired of seeing doctors. This will be number 4.
585414 tn?1288941302 I understand some of these questions are complex but given that the tardive conditions cause respiratory convulsions and myoclonic spasms any idea that its been of some use would be of great help to me.
Avatar f tn Then whatever they say something is going on and you need to seek more answers for him, ask for another opinion, ,as he has had a diagnosis of early Alzheimers maybe this is part of it, there is a new med coming up called Rember', it should help a lot of people Google it to get the latest information, it is on the 3rd year of Trials , hopefully be on the market in a couple and passed by the FDA ..
Avatar f tn I see that there isn't much activity over on the Parkinson's Forum. I did some research to try to answer your question as I can see you are terrified by the prospect. Your risk for early onset PD (under the age of 60) is very, very small small. There is a slight increase in risk if you have a sibling or a parent who had "early onset" PD. Instead of 1-2% risk for the general population, your risk would be 3 or 4%. This is only if your sib or parent has "Early Onset.
Avatar f tn Any suggestions on holistic approach to Tx. Parkinson's Disease? What are some MJFox's alleviating PD method?
