Avatar n tn The Novartis patch, called Exelon, was previously approved for patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s and it remains the only federally approved patch for the disease.
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn These dreams were very real to her and she would then argue with her husband about why he said he wanted to do these things to her. He, of course, knew nothing of these "conversations and situations" she thought were so real. Additionally, when she focused on a subject she could not let it go until someone helped her make sense of it. Often she has had angry outbursts over the past few years also, has been afraid of descending stairways, falling, and dark places.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.
Avatar f tn Phi, as always, is correct about how long it takes the Fentanyl to get into your system. If you are on the patch for 36 hrs and on that 3rd day you feel more pain, son's hesitate to tell your Dr. that because he/she can order it for you for every 48 hrs. I know how frightening it was for you when you were taken off the oxycontin. It's always scarry when we lose the med that we've been on for so long.
Avatar f tn My husband has been on 75mg of fenadyl patches for about 5 years and when he forgets to put patch on the night he is suppose to he is sooooo sleepy. But he can only put it on at night on the way to bed because otherwise it keeps him awake. Tricky. It seems like he has to be so careful. I was just wondering if others have similar issues to these?
Avatar n tn At this point applying anything on the area may lead to infections and further irritation. Keep the area clean and dry. You may apply vitamin E cream over the area to keep it from drying too much.
Avatar f tn I have a small scaley patch of skin at the bottom of my spine right above my buttocks. It is shaped a little like a hear and is a bit darker than my other skin. The scaling comes and goes. It does not itch nor does it hurt. In fact I would have not know it was there is I hadn't felt it. It this something I should be concerned about or will it go away on its on and should I be putting cream on it or just leave it alone.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar m tn Every once in a blue moon the area will start to itch and I can see small bumps start to appear, so once this happens I take my pills and apply hydrocortisone cream to it and they go away, all the great things to live with when you have herpes...
1176986 tn?1264917842 Hello, it's me again, I am trying to find on the internet, picturesof all the different kinds of Fentanyl patches, and I'm having no luck. does anyone know of a stet that would give me this info? Right now i am currently using the patch made by Watson... I have been hearing about one brand being better than the other and I just would like to be able to see the different brands so i could be more informed.
Avatar n tn I have been thru a year of treatment and clean for 2 years. Finally referred to pain managment MD who is reluctant to prescribe opioids to treat chronic pain. Tried duragesic patch - 25 mcg TOO strong and 12 did nothing. I've also had 4 cervical steroid epidurals which offered fair relief but can't have more at this time (also concerned about amt of steroids in body and effects). I have done P.T., yoga, chiro, heat/ice, yoga, meditation, new mattress/pillows, acupuncture.
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
8976007 tn?1413330650 i have been wanting off this fentanyl patch for months now and finally had the courage to talk to the doctor about switching to an equivalent ER opiate. i am currently on the 50 mcg patch every 48 hrs. she wrote a script for 10 mg oxycontin 2 times a day. i asked her if she had a table for conversion she could look at and she said 'yes' because i was NOT wanting less pain relief. actually, have been needing more the past few months.
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
1281453 tn?1275894600 my nine year old son has a patch of skin colored bumps under his chin this is a picture. Is it contagious? what is it can you help please?
Avatar f tn My hairdresser put two samples of hair dye behind both of my ears 2 days ago to check for reactions, as I had a bad reaction to a hair dye patch test done before over 2 years ago (I'm so thankful that I did the patch test to begin with!!). So we were checking if this different type of dye would be any different. But apparently not as I've suffered a pretty bad reaction to both! There is redness, burning sensation and swelling behind both of my ears and it is itchy.

Avatar n tn Dr gone for a month per nurse. Nurse now said to re-apply patch. Also told cannot go back to oral meds per pain contract & no doctor will prescribe. In fact new insurance denied and no pharmacy would fill because of fake prescription opiod crisis. . I was switched because the garage generics were not working well, dr thought the patch would work better for me. I didn't apply patch yet.
Avatar f tn I took my daughter to her pediatrician, and she said that it definitely was a type of fungus and the cream was I was applying was perfect. She said to apply it twice a day for a month, if it does not go away by then, continue to use it for another month. She said it was very common in childen. She did say, that it takes a while for it to clear up, but after a week of applying the cream I had, she said it looked like it was getting better.
