t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon.
My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Thank you for the reply....After reading the directions to this patch I was terrified that I was going to die in my sleep with it on. I know this sounds ridiculous ...and for me it kind of is because I do not normally have a problem with anxiety.....but the package insert and directions are written in such a way that I just didnt sleep last night at all....
I was on quite a few opiates including quick release liquid morphine taken orally ...but my pain was still breaking through...
Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.
On December 22, I developed a canker sore on the inside of my lower lip. And also found a tiny patch of red skin on my outer/upper groin about 2 inches away from the base of my penis in both directions. No burning while urinating or any discharge, nothing unusual on the penis or scrotum. Just the tiny patch of red skin, which doesn't look like any STD I've seen pictures of. Since finding the patch, I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my groin/thigh area.
I was put on Fentanyl 25mcg every 3 days for about 2 months. After 2 months my Dr. told me to start changing my patch every 2 days. This was because the 3rd day for me was always a bad day. I could feel the pain "I thought". 2 months after that I was told to increase to 50mcg because I wasn't getting the same pain relief. So now we're at 50mcg every 2 days. Today-Just over 6 months later....... I want off. I think the patch might be making me feel worse. This was my Dr.
It started with a little raised area of itchy pink skin on my inner elbow so I scratched it and it flared up to be large, round with raised, scaly red borders that really itch and a dark brown center. I think it was the dry scaly skin at the borders that itched, not so much the center and now that the dry skin is mostly gone, the whole patch doesn't itch so much. But there is still a large brown patch on my arm... how do I treat this? Should I be concerned? Here is a picture.
I had an eye patch on throughout all of yesterday and have been experiencing a pretty intense discomfort/irritation in the eye, sort of like the feeling when you have an eyelash stuck in your eye except this is a big eyelash that bothers you every time you blink and can cause sudden stabs of pain if you blink the wrong way. I believe these are from the stitches in my eye.
Noticed this first about ten days ago when had problems with urine stream in middle of night spraying in all directions. This continues. More recently have itching in urinary tract in penis, a little burning, more frequent urination. Area of redness enlarged a bit over last week but still just on tip. I am circumcised. No sexual activity other than long term partner.
What could be the causes??
on my face developed into a rash, which I thought was healing, but then it developed into a single, circular, slightly raised, thick, and sometimes itchy patch of dry, red, flaky skin.
it is impossible to cover with makeup, because it just makes it look even flakier.
but without makeup it is extremely noticeable and red.
sometimes it hurts, but only if I poke it with my nail.
I have no idea what it is. It simply will not go away.
Rupert01~ When you get on the pill it changes your period usually. That first 3 months your body is getting used to the hormones on the pill, and that extra long bleeding sounds like a side effect of the pill. It should go away over the next couple months.
Did you continue your next cycle of the pill after that week? Make sure you follow the directions even if your still bleeding because if you don't you may get pregnant.
