t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon.
My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

I've been looking for alternatives to narcotics for pain - specifically in one localized area the dr. has called a "trigger spot" in my shoulder. It becomes a big knotted up muscle under my shoulder blade and gets worse when I'm stressed. I've also been told I have tinitus in that shoulder. ANYWAY, I'm currently tapering on suboxone and really need to find alternatives for this pain.
It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Does anyone know of any alternatives to pain medication? I'm sick of taking pills and I don't like the idea of a pump injecting me with medication. Besides physical therapy what else is there?
I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.
Putting that aside, I feel that you did not give the 25mcg Patch a fair chance. Seeing that the 12mcg patch did nothing then what would possibly make the 25mcg so strong? The side effects can be hard to deal with but if you hang in there, they do go away. The Fentanyl is the only thing that has helped me and getting past the initial month was tough.
It has been noted that a person is less likely to abuse Fentanyl and Methadone because of their properties.

Of it off al pull this glue type substance off the patch. Is this safe? At a small amount of course, not the whole patch. Do I chew the glue or suck on it and for how long? And also swallow when I am finished. I don't want to OD on them

t understand why the dr wants me to consider alternatives, especially if I am willing to get hyst. I could see making a suggestion of alternatives if I wanted to keep my uterus, but like I said I am done with it and all it does is provide the inconvienience of a period, which is horrible... And now since it is affecting my health and quality of like, why keep it?
