Avatar n tn Exelon patch is on back order from the manufacturer until October 24. What alternatives are there?
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar f tn My mother who has cronic back and shoulder pain is being taken off of fentanyl 100mcg patch and 7.5/500mg and being put on morphine 60mg 2x daily and then morphine sulfate 15mg every 4 hours for breakthough pain. What I'm wondering is there going to be withdrawl or is the morphine going to have enough of the same stuff in it. If not what kind of withdrawl systems will there be to watch for.
Avatar m tn t know where else to put this, but I was recently switched from Morphine 60mg ER to the Fentanyl Duragesic patch. I thought the weird flu like symptoms might be a result of the new drug, but apparently it has to be withdrawal from the Morphine. I'm kind of miffed neither the doctor nor pharmacist even mentioned this could happen. I was naive and thought the new medication wouldn't create an issue with the switch, I was wrong.
Avatar n tn Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.
Avatar n tn I've experienced perianal itching and a noticeable white patch around the area. I've used several products for jock itch, thinking it is caused by a fungal infection, but there has been no resolution to the problem. If anything, the only thing that was accomplished by the application of these creams is the temporary relief of some of the itching. I also used a systemic (oral administration) antifungal, with no help, either.
Avatar m tn I started with 25 mg every 72 hrs and then went to 25 every 48 hrs. I was getting worse about 4 months into the 25 mg patch and my pain doctor increased me to 50 mg every 48 hrs and told me that my body just got to a tolerance and we needed to go up. About 2 months into being on 50 mg I just couldnt ever figure out why i felt so weird all the time especially the second day after putting a patch on.
Avatar m tn 27 AM WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration has delayed by nearly a year a plan to boost safety standards for the type of rail car involved in a fiery explosion that killed at least 47 people in Canada this month. Officials began work on the rule more than a year before an oil train derailed and exploded in Quebec on July 6 — but the rule was never put in place.
Avatar n tn Thank you. I notice you are in Cleveland and have a question regarding Mom. She has been treated for the last few years for Alzheimer's with an Exelon patch. I am not sure why she isn't on any other therapy but this is what her family doc has her on. She has not been "formaly" diagnosed however, the stress of the situation with dad has sent her downward very quickly. Unfortunetly without him, her anchor, her condition has become severe.
Avatar m tn My family doctor has me on the androderm patch. It seems to be working ok, but it is somewhat of a pain to place the patch and keep it sticking. The doctor doesnt like the injections because your testosterone fluctuates too much. Why can't the injectable be made thinner and inject small amounts daily with an insulin syringe?.
