Thank you very much for your help.But,I have a test Colloidal Gold 3rd generation from hospital only ,I didn't have an ELISA test. Is there any difference?
Can HIV ANTIBODY TEST(ELISA<HIV ! & ANTIBODY) test after 6 months fi fully conclusive????? I hb done ELISA test aftr 6 mnths of exposure???? Can I be 100% confident tat I m HIV negetive as the test came back non reactive with ANTIBODY 0.020 OD........will I have to test aftr ! yr?
I got tested in December 20th=negative elisa, January 2nd=negative elisa, January 27th=negative elisa, and finally I got tested February 7th=negative PCR DNA & Negative Elisa Combo. Can I move on? should I get tested again now been almost 9 months since? I cannot get that fear out of my head. I have a white tongue kinda hairy, which stresses me out even more!
cmia reported to be positive in that report ELISA is negative. Respectively on 8 March, 30 March and 3 may go on a test center for HIV, the test is ELISA HIV1 2 (Ag AB), report the result is negative. I would like to ask the doctor I can exclude the?? and test center staff told me that CMIA inspection accuracy than ELISA high.
Is the hiv elisa test{without the confirmatory test}the most reliable and accurate for detecting the hiv virus if you wait outside the 6 month window period?Is a second, third or fourth generation superior to a first generation elisa? Also why do blood banks use naat and other fancy tests to detect hiv? Do they do that to simply shorten the window period or would such fancy tests as naat, antigen, etc.

I already underwent an ELFA test on February 25 2013 (88 days after exposure) and the result is "Non Reactive", also an imunochromatograf test on May 9, ELISA test on 11 May, and also it coming "Non Reactive". But there is still a lot symptoms appear on my body, like skin rashes, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue etc. What is the diference between ELISA and ELFA?
hello i'm from malaysia.i had short (about 1 mins)oral sex (without condom)with a lady in 27th jan.after 3 weeks i got fever and flu(3-5 days),it's never happended again till now.
i did elisa test(generation 1 or 2) on 11th march(from 27th jan till 11th march=6 weeks).it's showed negetif,but the doctor ask me to come back after 3 months due to the window period.
1. does 6 weeks mean from the day i had sex(27th jan to 11th march) untill the day i did blood test?

t get a lot of information on this test. I know it is not an ELISA and that really bothers me. I had a full std panel done at 6 weeks from exposure and then an hiv only test at ten weeks. I am going to ask for another full std panel at 12 weeks to include another hiv antibody test.
1. For hiv, is 12 weeks conclusive or do I need to wait until 13 weeks?
2. Is Labcorps ICMA hiv 1/0/2 ICMA antibody test as sensitive and accurate as a 3rd generation ELISA?
