I have tested 89 days after exposure by ELISA. I dont know which generation of ELISA test is followed in India. I am confused should i consider that test as conclusive or retest after 6 months.

rapid elisa test is which generation test, window period of rapid elisa test, serology reports are negative after 131days, is this conclusive

Unprotected penetrative sex varginal with + hiv encounter does not means you were infected because only 1 person will be infected from 2500 persons secondly yeas rapid tests usually caused a confusion because of false positive that is why the official advice recommend hiv 1&2 antibodies elisa third generation test after 90 days of post exposure or duo p24 test is always reliable after 28 days retest with duo or Elisa once you get negative result forget it have a safe life

hi i am male from srilanka, i had high risk exposure with sex worker and she wa hiv positive, situation was condom break inside the vagina, and then i changed after that i did pcr proviral dna test after 50 days of post exposure then after 3 months elisa then after 5 months elisa then after 6 months rapid test then after 7 months rapid test then after 8 months rapid test all are negative but i have all symptoms related hiv like cough, mussles pain, neck pain, white toung, fatigue etc pls help me

I do sex with a prostiture in india in june with condom, I did hiv blood test by Elisa method in india 10 , 20 , 49 days and results are all non reactive . please suggest any more test after fews days later needed or not. However I am do that sex(no oral and anal) first time and that time parter help me to placed the condom on my penis.but I confused about that the condom is properly placed or not. after this exposure on december 11th (2days after last exposure) i have tested for HIV with ELISA tri-dot test and the result was nagative. after this my neighbour female was tested on january 3rd (after 25 days of last exposure) and the result was negative. and i get tested on 25th Jan i.e., 6 weeks 5 days after the last exposure and 1st of february i.e., 7 weeks 5 days and the results ( ELISA tri-dot test ) was negative again.

Is the ELFA test method an improved ELISA (as explained by the doctor at Apollo) and is it a Duo test/4th generation test? 3> Do I need to get another ELISA done at a different lab? The tests would be conclusive depending on the window period between the date of the test and the last possible exposure to any of these infections through unprotected intercourse with someone infected. If the HIV test carried out was a serology ELISA test of 3rd generation, this is fully conclusive after 12 weeks; the Hepatitis B and Syphilis tests would be conslcuive after 4-6 weeks.

hello i had done elisa test at 19 weeks mark it was negative result do i need test again at 24 weeks mark

Thanks Mr.teak i had a test after 6 months by tridot method and was negative.i was bit confused that tridot detect only hiv 1(c sub type) not other subtype because i had sex in UAE and checked in india for my conclusive result. Where is hiv 1 & 2 found? whether all hiv 1 & 2 Abs test look for all subtypes ( i mean both elisa/eia & Rapid test), if yes, then one test is enough after windows period. Please clear my doubt Mr.

Elisa is fine, you don't have HIV.
