Effexor could have, too. You just never know. Keep in mind, Zoloft is very different than Effexor, it's a different class of drug. It tends to be less problematic than Effexor, which is why your psychiatrist might have recommended it, but it's also a weaker antidepressant since it doesn't target norepinephrine, only serotonin.
