Avatar f tn They have a new Goldbonds eczema lotion I've seen advertised on tv but I havnt tried it. The healing lotion by them is what worked for me.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar n tn There is really no definite cure for eczema and topical corticosteroids are the mainstay in controlling but not preventing the flares of eczema. You may ask your physician if taking antihistamines will be able to help at this point as this may help in reducing the itchiness. Applying calamine lotion and applying cold compress on the skin for not greater than 15 minutes may be able to help relieve the redness and the itchiness.
Avatar n tn Hello, The symptoms are due to dyshidrotic eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar m tn It's probably eczema. There is no cure and no one seems to care how much it destroys your life. Not trying to be sarcastic, just tired of dermatologist who act like it's just a minor itch. The one thing you can't do is itch. I know don't breath either. When you scratch it makes it worse. You need to keep the area moisturized. I wouldn't use steroids, they just make it worse. When you use steroids you need to use them constantly to get the affect.
Avatar f tn Hello, This can be due to dermatitis, eczema or dry skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

Avatar n tn if they say it is eczema, it probably is because eczema comes in many different types. try very strong oily lotion and btw, swimming makes it worse.
Avatar f tn Aveeno eczema care cream works wonders. I used to rub a loofa on my stomach for half an hour or more in the shower because my stomach was so itchy...after using the cream religiously at night for about 4 days, no more redness or itching.
Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
803552 tn?1237924431 Hi. For the last 6 months I have had a rash on both arms. It is lots of red dots that are very slightly raised and they don't itch. They are very unsightly. I went to my dr who said it was eczema and prescribed Aqueous cream but I don't think it is eczema and the Aqueous cream hasn't helped at all. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Hi, It could be eczema. You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene . Use a medicated lip balm with sunscreen.
Avatar n tn It almost looks like broken capaliares scattered across my neck/chest. I am very fair complected. What is the cause of this? Is there a cure to make these things disappear or to prevent these? Should I see a demeratologist?

Avatar m tn I read an article about a woman who bathe in bleach in an attempt to cure eczema and burned 90 plus percent of her skin. It was horrible! I do hope that someone more knowledgeable than I would be able to read your post. Just don't lose hope as help will eventually comes along.
Avatar f tn try the lotion renew , i get eczema as well all over my body to the point to where sometimes i bleed. This bottle only sells on amazon or you can buy it one the website of melaleuca. It was recomended by my family member who sold the products , i just thought she was trying to get money out of me but it worked so well it was the only lotion I used. It is a little bit expensive but give it a shot it may work on your skin. I hope this helps everybody !
Avatar m tn It has grown in size and at one time was raw and very irratated. Trips to the ocean seam to cure it dramatically. I used to frequently masturbate without lotion and I think this is what brought it on, along with using tanning beds just as much. Now all that is left, is dry almost new skin left in long old torn spots that were previously raw. This is sometimes flaky and scaley. I have used lotrimin, psoriasis treatmean (3%salicylic acid), coconut oil and many lotions.
Avatar m tn I've had this dry spot on my finger for a long time that just doesn't seem to want to go away. I've tried numerous lotions (Eucerin hand lotion and Aquaphor and some others) and I even tried some wart remover because I thought it could be that but nothing seems to work. It's right next to my knuckle. Does anyone have any idea of good lotions to use or whether this is some type of condition that I need to see a doctor for?
Avatar n tn I too have this same problem and want to know if you received a answer. Thank you!
1060719 tn?1254505235 I had these. They are called Scabbies. They are little bugs, not visible by the human eye. They burrow in your skin, laying eggs. After 14 weeks, the eggs hatch. This occurs mostly on the feet, insides of fingers, and elbows (rarely). There is only ONE CURE for this little reatrds. lol. These can not go away without treatment. I can recommned "RID" It's a lice killing shampoo with the one thing that can kill them. Premetherin. Rub it on your dry hands, and leave it on 15-20minutes.
Avatar m tn My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
Avatar m tn If it is due to eczema, you can apply good quality moisturizers. the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. Doing so tends to increase effectiveness and reduce side effects from medications. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I haven't with pregnancy but am going thru it with my 11 month old. We where recommend eczema lotion from target the generic of aveeno. It's in the lotion area in a white bottle with a brown lid. After 3 days of use he is looking so much better. It was all over his body. Stop using Sented wash and with no dye in it. It's a start and is working great so far!
Avatar f tn So its Eczema? I keep good hygiene, i shower everyday and use a lotion for sensistive skin everyday. my skin is not dry, and this rash thing is only in one spot and i never had this before. well i just e-mailed my mom and she says i dont have Eczema. she says its really ugly and you get scabs and normally is not in one spot. so i would beleive her because she has a friend that has Eczema and it doesn't look like what i have.
