Eczema lotion aveeno

Common Questions and Answers about Eczema lotion aveeno

Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
9041091 tn?1410420929 To help with eczema get some Cortizone Eczema Lotion. Its betweeen $8-$10 a bottle.I ewas instructed not to put ANYTHINGthat has a scent to it on my sons skin becabecause it makes it worse and sunscreen has a scent and I've never heard of that helping either.
395795 tn?1215116490 My little guy has this on his cheeks. His doctor said to use Lubriderm or Aveeno lotion several times per day. We use Lubriderm, which really helps as long as we keep up with it.
Avatar f tn My son has eczema really bad and I use Baby Aveeno the one with the dark blue cap and it works magic on him.
Avatar f tn Upu can use the Eucerin baby stuff too! Its super gentle but specially formulated for eczema. Aveeno products also work great, be careful with essential oils, some are not safe to use during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn eucerin, cetaphil lotion and aveeno. If you can take time to soak in bath, take a aveeno oatmeal bath ea day....remember that wont help immiediately, but if done each day it will help prevent it. Cortizone 1% is ok but dont use it every day because its damaging. Hope some of my advice helps...the steroid is the key to get it under co.trol at 1st then the other stuff will help longer term... Probioycs r soo important and a good multivitamin..
7882296 tn?1405394667 Theres a Baby wash called Aveeno baby exczema skin therapy. Also get the Aveeno baby exzema lotion skin therapy to go with. Use it every bathtime, and afterward, rub him head to toe with the lotion, im talking scalp too. It worked great for my son. Good luck!

768015 tn?1333655675 I have Eczema so i know how annoying it is! Lotion wise Eucerin is the best for the that other than that you have to go the dr and get some hydrocortizone cream! Being PG im would definetly ask your DR what would be best and safe to put on it! The cream i have they said is pretty strong!! oh and soap wise make sure you get dove or caress that really moisturize your skin these are the only 2 that i buy!!
Avatar f tn I've always suffered from eczema, especially when the weather changes. About 2 1/2 months ago, I started getting severe itch in the groin area which I assumed was jock itch. I treated it with Lotrimin and it helped, but did not cure it. About a month into it, I started using a prescription mometasone furoate, to treat eczema, on the area and it relieved the itching a great deal.
Avatar n tn She said it doesn't have to be obvious to be Eczema and told me to just go buy Aveeno with Menthol and use it nightly as a preventative. Does anyone know if this sounds like Eczema? thanks!
568659 tn?1256143582 This week, aquaphor is holding the eczema down, but I don't think it's the answer, either. Aveeno didn't touch dd's eczema. Eucerin combined with a steroid worked for a while, but then stopped working. Hylira worked well for us (that's a non-steriodal goo ... prescription), but then our dd said it was burning (well, it was more like screaming), so we had to stop that. I think that works best when the flare ups aren't so bad.
326352 tn?1310997895 Hello, I have extreme eczema and I use cortisone and the sensitive skin lotion Cetaphil. However, to make matters worse my face recently broke out with these tiny bumps and all over my body including my face and scalp feel itchy and crawly. Does anyone know what's going on??? I'm scheduling a dermatologist visit soon but I need relieve like yesterday. Help!!!
Avatar m tn My daughter has eczema and we use no scented bar soap when we bathe her, which the doc said to only do once every 2-3 days. Then we use non scented lotion (aveeno makes a good one). We put that one her twice a day. We also use hydrocortisone on the irritated spots every 4-6 hours until they clear up.
Avatar f tn I haven't with pregnancy but am going thru it with my 11 month old. We where recommend eczema lotion from target the generic of aveeno. It's in the lotion area in a white bottle with a brown lid. After 3 days of use he is looking so much better. It was all over his body. Stop using Sented wash and with no dye in it. It's a start and is working great so far!
1853014 tn?1340042175 I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion with colloidal oat meal (green label). It's the ONLY lotion I can use. If it gets really bad, I use a glob of antibiotic ointment and put on some cheap stretchy gloves.
Avatar f tn I'd try something like Aveeno Baby eczema cream. Dove bar soap for sensitive skin, Stelatopia Cream Cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and CeraVeĀ© Hydrating Cleanser are examples of cleansers often recommended by dermatologists to treat eczema. Cleansers should only be used to wash the diaper area and areas that appear dirty. They do not need to be used on a daily basis.
Avatar f tn I have severe eczema as well, I know how you feel, you can ask for a mometasone furoate 0.1% oint, put it on, once your eczema goes away, you have to buy Nesporin, the lotion brand, it will help moisturize your skin and keep it from being dry and itchy. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn Typically with my kids, they have very sensitive skin their first 2 months, so I buy Aveeno baby lotion and wash to go with. If they develop any rash on skin at all i get the Aveeno Eczema lotion. Works great. Good luck.
Avatar n tn The ONLY over the counter treatment that works (and works well) is Aveeno Excema Care (now called Aveeno Advanced Care). This is an oatmeal-based lotion that prevents flareups and reverses minor flareups. With use twice a day she hasn't had a flare up in months - however, when we stopped using it for a few weeks (Aveeno took it off the market temporarily when they changed the packaging), her eczema came back and none of the other products (including Mustela) did anything.
Avatar n tn Hi, Dyshidrotic eczema may require more than lotions and moisturizers. Have you been assessed by a physician? For a lotion, Aveeno may be a good brand to use. Also you may use Cetaphil to wash the area. I also suggest that you avoid using any strong and abrasive hand lotion. The colored and scented ones need to be avoided as they may contain abrasives and irritants. Always protect your hands from direct contact with any irritants. Topical steroids may be of help.
Avatar m tn I find that I can apply lotion all day and it it doesn't seem to ever get saturated. Is this eczema and can I get rid of this? I am a 21 year old male.
Avatar f tn Hello, Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema.Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
1456473 tn?1365831055 You can take benadryl, and I take a warm bath and use aveeno calming lotion nightly. My legs used to be nothing but open sores and scabs because I scratched it uncontrollably, but the less I scratch the more it seems to go away.
Avatar f tn If anything it has gotten worse! I have been using Aveeno brand oatmeal bath and eczema cream, I've tried baby oil baths with Shea and cocoa butter, I have tried maybe 9 different intense moisturizing lotions! Nothing helps! I've been surviving for weeks on 2 hour naps because I wake up itching like crazy! To anyone suffering like me, my heart goes out to you!
Avatar f tn I use Cerva cream. Also Aveeno Advanced Care lotion. I shower once a day. The spot started a year ago as a couple of little spots, but within the past 3 months turned into this huge thing on the side of my face. I've never had Eczema on my face before. The spots don't itch during the day at all. I do all the scratching in my sleep. I think it's just an unconscious habit at this point. But how do I break the habit if I don't know I'm doing it??
