Avatar f tn I haven't with pregnancy but am going thru it with my 11 month old. We where recommend eczema lotion from target the generic of aveeno. It's in the lotion area in a white bottle with a brown lid. After 3 days of use he is looking so much better. It was all over his body. Stop using Sented wash and with no dye in it. It's a start and is working great so far!

Avatar n tn It is not eczema as I had this when young but it could be an alergic reaction. I started to use baby lotion as a body lotion on my entire body which was about 10 years old so I may have reacted to it. I also just moved into a new flat so am concerned it may be the bed and finally I am rewashing my clothes in a different soap powder - just in case.
Avatar f tn Hi ive had a really bad skin condition for neally a month now i have big red patches all over my body from my face downwards, and it is really itchy my face goes all red and gets really flaky its a nightmare i cant stop itching and i feel really uncomfortable please help
Avatar n tn other than that you need to start taking culturelle probiotics every day and evening primrose 3x a day. use cetaphil body wash and make sure your shampoo and conditioner are mild ...i use bavy shampoo and a all natural conditioner and I try not to put much product on my hair. Watch your detergants...use all free and clear. Moisturize whenever you can, but make sure your lotion is fragrance free such as: eucerin, cetaphil lotion and aveeno.
Avatar n tn I thought it was an allergic reaction to a body wash I used @ weeks ago but they still have not gone away.I went to my family doctor she gave me a steroid shot and some pills.I still have this issue. What in the world could it be the spots are small.
Avatar f tn I have moderate/severe eczema, and I started noticing that whenever my body comes in contact with water (shower, pools, etc.) my eczema worsens and becomes a lot more visible. It's probably normal for this to happen, but I was wondering why does it happen?
Avatar m tn Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water and do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. Also use mild steroid cream and good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
Avatar f tn Dove bar soap for sensitive skin, Stelatopia Cream Cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and CeraVeĀ© Hydrating Cleanser are examples of cleansers often recommended by dermatologists to treat eczema. Cleansers should only be used to wash the diaper area and areas that appear dirty. They do not need to be used on a daily basis.
Avatar m tn the main thing is dont irratate it too much it might itch a little and feel really weird but just wash it every now and then and it should be better by 3-4 days..youll notice peeling best thing to do is wash it off with body soap in the shower..scrub it let it dry a little, and youll notice its way easier to peel i feel like a new man thanks for the help bye!!
Avatar f tn Meds are so dehydrating that the very dry skin is common among everyone on the meds. Use a mosturizing body wash in the shower, followed by lotion. Oat meal baths helped me a lot with an allergy to another med.
Avatar f tn Have you tried the avveno eczema soaps?! My daughter has eczema and thats all I can use on her without her breaking out.
Avatar f tn So its Eczema? I keep good hygiene, i shower everyday and use a lotion for sensistive skin everyday. my skin is not dry, and this rash thing is only in one spot and i never had this before. well i just e-mailed my mom and she says i dont have Eczema. she says its really ugly and you get scabs and normally is not in one spot. so i would beleive her because she has a friend that has Eczema and it doesn't look like what i have.
Avatar n tn I have a history of eczema, but it only is targeted in certain areas of my body and I have medication for it, which has not helped the areas of my itchiness. It is not chicken pox because I had it when I was little. These bumps are incredibly itchy and no matter what cream, prescribed or not, soap, etc..they are not going away. Some days are less and other days are incredibly swollen like rash, it seems to be spreading.
Avatar n tn Hello, For eczema skin, Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

435139 tn?1255460391 t register for any bath products yet and I have read mixed reviews on the big baskets that they offer (baby oil, baby powder, baby lotion, shampoo, body wash...) We don't want a lot of extra stuff that we aren't going to use...I heard lots of people on the babies r us site say that the Johnson&Johnson brand was drying and that they used the body wash for shampoo, like an all in one...I read a lot of positive things about Aveeno products...What do you recommend? What did you use?
