Avatar n tn I've had eczema my entire life and it's NEVER been as bad as it is now. I just gave birth a little over a month ago, but my skin now is soo irritated and itchy I can't even sleep at night. It's made it hard to move or take showers. It burns. I've had perscription steroid cremes every type of lotion out there. And all my dermato wants to do is use the same cremes. I NEED RELIEF!! Does anyone know a natural way to ease the eczema pain?

Avatar f tn They have a new Goldbonds eczema lotion I've seen advertised on tv but I havnt tried it. The healing lotion by them is what worked for me.
Avatar n tn It seems to be concentrated around my belly button which seems to stay pink most of the day, but sometimes fades to white, but much more pale than my natural skin color. Any suggestions on what this could be?
Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
Avatar m tn it appears to be an "eczema" disease. i'v been experiencing it for 2 years and it spreaded from my middle, to the 2nd, 4th and now the 1st finger (only right hand). So the finger's skin made a cycle, where it peeled, and then it grows the newer one but its thick and theres no fingrprint in it, then it goes back to peeling and again. (But in a small area).
Avatar f tn I don't have eczema but Aveno makes a lotion specifically for eczema you can probably get it at your local drugstore or Wal-Mart or some place like that.
Avatar f tn Try Aveeno products the have body wash for eczema and lotion for it as well.

9041091 tn?1410417329 To help with eczema get some Cortizone Eczema Lotion. Its betweeen $8-$10 a bottle.I ewas instructed not to put ANYTHINGthat has a scent to it on my sons skin becabecause it makes it worse and sunscreen has a scent and I've never heard of that helping either.
Avatar m tn I've noticed this dry patch of skin on my left ankle. I'd say it's about the size of a bottle-cap. I've tried using lotion, but it won't go away. I've had it for about a year now. Is this something I should be worried about?
Avatar m tn This didnt change anything so im assuming its eczema, but I had always heard that eczema came in patches all over the body, not just one place, It doesnt hurt or anything I just don't like how it looks
Avatar m tn It's probably eczema. There is no cure and no one seems to care how much it destroys your life. Not trying to be sarcastic, just tired of dermatologist who act like it's just a minor itch. The one thing you can't do is itch. I know don't breath either. When you scratch it makes it worse. You need to keep the area moisturized. I wouldn't use steroids, they just make it worse. When you use steroids you need to use them constantly to get the affect.
Avatar m tn My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
Avatar f tn also i put on fake tan on my legs, but they have no chemicals in the lotion, (cuz my mums all into natural stuff) could that maybe the cause of it, even if it isnt chemical?
Avatar f tn You can develop allergies to things that you've never been allergic to before. I suggest reading the forum discussing hair dyes. There are many horror stories about allergies to these hair dyes. There are many man-made chemicals that are so toxic in hair dyes. People were even talking about brands that you might associate with being less toxic or "natural" and what kinds of allergic reactions they have had to these products.
Avatar f tn I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be dyshidrotic eczema or contact dermatitis. It is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash). Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.
Avatar m tn I was born with eczema and during my childhood it manifested in my arms. Suddenly, my eczema cleared up and I was completely fine, I thought I was cured. My freshman year in high school, the skin around my mouth began to chap. I didn't really pay much attention so I used original chapstick. As time passed it got more and more intense. I'm now a senior in high school and at this moment I'm experiencing a flare-up.
1227049 tn?1267237385 I have tried a wide variety of things to control it. Doing nothing and natural treatments (oatmeal, honey lotion, etc.etc.) have had no affect and have caused the condition to become worse. The one thing I have found to control it and actually make me feel comfortable in my skin is hydrocortisone. I have been using the lowest formula of it (0.5%) for an extended period of time (probably since I got on the original accutane course) in these areas.
Avatar f tn I haven't with pregnancy but am going thru it with my 11 month old. We where recommend eczema lotion from target the generic of aveeno. It's in the lotion area in a white bottle with a brown lid. After 3 days of use he is looking so much better. It was all over his body. Stop using Sented wash and with no dye in it. It's a start and is working great so far!
Avatar f tn So its Eczema? I keep good hygiene, i shower everyday and use a lotion for sensistive skin everyday. my skin is not dry, and this rash thing is only in one spot and i never had this before. well i just e-mailed my mom and she says i dont have Eczema. she says its really ugly and you get scabs and normally is not in one spot. so i would beleive her because she has a friend that has Eczema and it doesn't look like what i have.
Avatar n tn Wow I have never heard of it appearing around the mouth! That must hurt! But I get it bad on my hands! If you can find Dermasil lotion, that works good! It does burn a bit, but then reapply it and it smoothes your skin! Eucerin works well too. Make sure you get unscented lotion!!! If it isn't ON your lips, try putting the lotion around them.. Or go to your doctor. And if it is really bad, ie.
Avatar f tn I dont think its eczema because I grew up dealing with it and it feels and looks different than eczema. It doesn't itch like eczema.
Avatar m tn t pregnancy related per say but are there any mommys out there that have babys with eczema? If so what do you do for it? Her doctor who saw her today just said to put vasolene on it but to some extent that is what I have been doing and I am seeing no improvement. I feel like there has got to be something I can do...
Avatar f tn i was recently introduced to meleleuca products,n they are fantastic! it got rid of all the eczema rash, uses the pure oil, then the RENEW lotion,it is the best thing ive uses so far,it doesnt thin the skin out klike most cortisone creams the doc usually prescribes,my question is this...although the rash n itch has gone away, the awful pimple like blisters have not, does anyone know what i could use to rid of it?
Avatar n tn You may have pregnancy eczema, sooo annoying!! I would try to use lotion and see if that helps any, if not I'd mention it to your doctor!
