I need to get so wax out of my ear but I don't want to spend 200 dollars at the doctors. The last time I used a lavage kit from the drug store it didn't work too well and I got an ear infection and I don't think sticking stuff in myself is a good idea. Are there any sort of businesses I can go to less expensive or am I better off simply getting someone at home to help me?

First of all, the Hopi have no role in inventing ear candling, it's from India. All evidence is that ear candles do nothing whatsoever except put melted candle in your ear, but people have been doing it for centuries and so if it makes you feel better, go for it. But again, it has failed all double blind studies.

I can hear but, it feel like I have pressure in my ear and as though the right ear only. I also hear slight ringing at times including small clicking noises randomly. I have a 3rd follow up appointment w/ my ENT on Thursday. The 2 hearing tests at this point show loss of low frequency and voices sound high pitched in the right ear. Should I be going to a specialist? I suggested that I had water in my inner ear but, the doctor will not agree.

I was dumb enough to try ear candling even though studies show it doesn't do what is intended. People swear it helps them and I had been having congested ears. Long story short hot wax from the candle dripped into my ear and now I am in pain. This morning a piece of "candle" wax came out of my ear but I am almost certain there is more in there. My hearing is muffled and when i move my head while sleeping the crackling wakes me up. Any advice or solutions?

On Monday morning I woke with an ear infection. I went to the doctor right away and was given Otic Edge, told to continue an antibiotic I was already on, to call if it wasn't felling better in a couple of days, and to schedule a recheck for a week later. I understand these home rapid test kits has the HIV antigen embedded in the capture pad, which then will react if an HIV antibody was found in the blood sample. When I pricked my finger, I coudn't get enough blood in so I kind of touched the capture/sample pad a little bit. I'm afraid of HIV exposure after learning that the pad contains the HIV antigen.

Hello, I went to see a doc this morning for my right ear. I have had a cold for about a week and last night my right ear plugged up, start ringing and discharging fluid so I figured I had an infection. The doc said that the right ear was indeed infected although it had no wax build up and the left had a large amount of wax build up wasn't infected. He told me that I should get a ear wax removal kit for the left when I have the time.

There are no approved home testing kits. There is an approved collection kit in the US it's the Home Access Kit but there are no approved home testing kits.

I am a 29 year old female, my possible exposure was over 18 months ago, i recently tested myself using a home self testing kit called EZ Trust Rapid HIV Test Kit (manufacturer is CS Innovations Singapore, product commonly sold by Labpro and Nexus Laboratories). I had ringing noises in my ear for a while. I went to walmart and bought over the counter ear wax remover kit. It was drops that soften ear wax and helps some come out. After doing that i stopped hearing stuff. But you might want to check with your doctor. Could be medicine or anything.

I have a digital ear and temple one. Dont remember the brand name. It was over $100 regularily but we got it on sale. I love that it is digital and super quick for squirming baby. It also lights up green for normal range and yellow for temps to watch and red for a fever.

I would NOT recommend using any ear war removal kit because you really don't know what you are dealing with. This could cause more problems. Consult an ENT Specialist and ask for vestibular testing. Sounds like it could be your inner ear. If all that clears, this could be a possibility that it is r/t anxiety. Anxiety/Panic Attacks are considered medical conditions.

Sore throat, enlarged neck and under ear lymph nodes and slightly painfull, my ear feels plugged and pops when i swallow and my right eye started to have a slight pain around it. My dog is a boxer and she constantly has ear infections. She shakes her head all the time. Short of cleaning her ears three times a day, what can I do about it?
