Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.
my son has severe plaque psoriasis. he is on medicare and dovonex is not covered. What other medicine can he use and is there any financial assistance.?
I am 27 now and have 10% of my body covered in psoriasis. This is considered severe. Psoriasis in my life has showed up EVERYWHERE , the penis, behind my ears, in any weird spot you could think of. Psoriasis can appear anywhere on the uman body. Depending on how bad the area is, and how built of the skin cells are, psoriasis can be non-painful but usually it has some sort of discomfort associated with it.
I burned my hand with hot wax in a little area about a size of a quarter about 6 months ago. Now I have a white scar on that area. I've been to a dermatologist and they prescribed me Dovonex and Vectical ointment. I've been using Dovonex and now I'm using Vectical. The dermatologist told me I should keep putting the ointment on before I think of doing something else. But I really need this scar to go away because my engagement is coming up. PLEASE help me if you can.
I have been switched to Dovonex for the treatment of psoriasis, but experienced achey joints and hormonal fluctuations after prolonged use of Desonide (0.05%). I was wondering if this is just a coincidence (that I am just naturally predisposed to having thyroid problems) or if I misused the ointment.
Hello, my six month old son was born with ILVEN. It starts on the back of his shoulder and goes down his arm to the crease of his arm. We have been going to a pediatric dermatologist since we first noticed it. They did a biopsy and it came back as ILVEN. His dermatologist prescribed dovonex and a steroid cream I apply twice daily. I have been doing this for 3 months now and I don't see any change at all. Our next appointment is in another 3 months to check it.
Have you tried Dovonex, a vitamin D3 derivitive, on your elbows? Might be stronger than Elidel on that part of the body. Ointment is stronger than cream. Just be careful not to get it on your face so best to wear long sleeves after applying so you won't accidently touch.Also, as mentioned, Protopic -- very similar to Elidel -- is a bit stronger and sometimes works better than Elidel.
4) You can use a cheap apple cider vinegar (yes - cheap and in every grocery store)to keep it at bay. I put it in a spray bottle and keep it near the shower. Once a week, spray your body with the vinegar in the shower and leave it on for 5 minutes or so. The acidity in the vinegar seems to do the trick. This seems to help kill it and keep it away before it has a chance to make those dreaded spots.

Last week, I threw up because of standing up too fast. I'm very lightheaded and occasionally get a numb feeling at the top of my head, my cheeks and my tongue.

Is anyone else on here suffering with depression or anxiety in their pregnancy?
I was diagnosed with PND after having my LG and got rid of it fine but have been living with anxiety ever since, I was coping with it fine but since falling pregnant this time my anxiety had definitely worsened and finding the right treatment is tricky.
I know it's a common problem before and after pregnancy. Hang in there! Avoid fatty foods... like anything!!! with cholesterol.
