Please help someone if you know anything? How devastating as a woman to have to go through this. If losing hair was listed as a side effect (like it should be), I would not have taken this. Clearly it's no coincidence. One more major question I have for you is when does this get out of my system and when will the hair loss/ itchiness stop? Is this scarring(permanent) hair loss or will it grow back!??

m not sure what to do because my skin has really cleared up from Doryx but if I continue to take it I will be bald with pretty skin! Not a great combination! Thanks for reviews!

ve currently been off the medication for almost a month now and the im still losing more hair than I used to. Can anyone tell me whether this is going to stop anytime soon or what the heck is going on. I know this isn't stated in the side effects, and when I talked to my derm he completely dismissed it stating he's never had a case with doryx and hair loss, but after searching the internet and this forum I can see im not the only one!!

Thanks for the info though. I actually stopped taking the antibiotics yesterday. I was on them for 22 days. I'm not showing any real symptoms of lyme and I haven't really during the meds as I can tell, but i have a test in a month and a half to make sure I am negative.

I've been prescribed Keflex, Bactrim, and now Doryx. Still won't go away. I don't go out anymore because of this condition. I don't know what I would do if I met a really cool girl. Oh wait, I'd probably just walk right past her and look the other way, even if she tried to talk to me. This condition is so embarrassing. I've taken about 16/30 of the Doryx medication (Qty. is 30) The marks don't seem to be going away.

the redness around my nose comes and goes, sometimes it will crust up and go away other times when it comes i try to wash my face or anything i do to it just makes it worse, its also spread out through my mustache sometimes and i finally got the courage to ask a derm spec and they said it was an infection around my nose and mouth so she prescribed a topical cream called PROMISEH, and some antibiotics called DORYX. i take them and they do nothing .

How should i use it? and is it normal that the apple cider vinagar i soaked the big lesions in has turned the spots on my skin black?

A few years ago I had a horrible case of acne and was put on the Doryx pill for 3 weeks, wash with Brevoxyl 2x day, morning Tazorac topical and evening Duac topical. This combination cleared up all of my acne and dark spots in a month !!! So after two months I weened myself off of the topicals. Everything was fine. About 2 years later, I had another bad breakout. I have really oily skin, lots of white and blackheads and acne scarring (dark spots) resulted from these pimples.

s summarily recommended to avoid laying down after meals. So my take away is that compared to other abx, doxy is harder than average on the stomach, and that laying down has nothing to do with the action of this particular drug, per se. This makes more sense to me.

Hello, I planned on getting STD tested in a few weeks but just completed a ZPACK (azithromycin) for a sinus infection and my dermatologist has put me on 100 mg doryx (doxycycline) for acne. Other then the HIV test should I go ahead and get tested for gono, syph, chla? The reason I ask is that from what I am reading on this forum, often times those antibiotics would clear up those infections. Thank you. This has been a very helpful and informative forum.

I had been off of the Doryx for about a week when I found this out and went straight back to the doctor to receive treatment for chlamydia infection. I was treated this time with doxycycline 100mg bid X 7d. 9 days later I was feeling ok and engaged in intercourse but the next day my right testicle was pretty tender feeling and my scrotum was very droopy. I abstained for intercourse for several more days until it felt normal, then after engaging again I had the same symptoms.

I was wondering if you have any successful treatments since your post? My bf is suffering from the same thing and he has tried all the same treatments and lupus diagnosis. Now the dermatologist wants to the let the rash run its course because he doesn't want to continue to prescribe prednisone anymore.

What is the best way to take levoxyl 175mcg tablets? Is it okay to take it in the am with all your other meds?

Are you on cytomel ONLY? What are your thyroid levels - FT4, FT3 and TSH? Do you have Hashimoto's? 50 mcg cytomel seems like a lot - and I would most likely split it into at least 2 doses, but that would depend on your labs. I wonder why she didn't give you any T4 med. cytomel is a T3 only med which is about 4 times more potent than T4 and is taken into the system quickly and is gone quickly, whereas the T4 med builds gradually.

t work now Im on xanax and elavil50mgs they both work the elavil is to help me sleep I dont sleep.tell your doctor to take you off zoloft there giving bad reaction to it.
